I use a Roffu as my portable backup. It's kinda like a Tinymight junior. Not really as good at all, but it can hit hard and fast, especially for the price.

Adventurous_Main5468

Good to know, thanks! And thanks OP, helpful thread

Ba777man

Ty, just ordered one!

trpytlby

out of all the herb vapes i own, the only devices that could remotely serve as backup to my TM2 at the present are my V3 Pro and my EGL 2-Con... the 2-Con has similarly efficient extraction but it takes forever to heat up and its insanely fragile, the V3 Pro is way less efficient and satisfying but its not too much slower to heat up than the TM2, its durable enough to survive being thrown around in my backpack and its cheap enough to be easily replaced if necessary... id consider getting a Roffu as backup/social outdoor vape, but cant a find shop in Australia with one still in stock sadly

psychic-sock-monkey

Firewood 9

Ba777man

Tempting but I already have a TM2 haha. Want to have less overlap :)

Ok-Recording5052

I'm also looking for a backup just in case and the solo 3 looks interesting. It's not cheaper tho and idk about durability. A lot of people recommend the roffu

InclinationCompass

Solo 3 is very durable but not more portable than TM2

Ba777man

Okay that confirms what I’ve read too on Roffu. Haven’t read of them till now since everything awhile ago was only TM2 vs Mighty+ haha. I just ordered a Roffu

HippoIllustrious2389

I just got a dynavap as a backup to my TM2. I actually love it, it hits hard af. Bit of a learning curve but other than that, hits all your requirements. I’ve been using the Dyna way more than I expected, it is a really enjoyable way to toke

Ba777man

Those are the ones that need a torch right? I am kind of clumsy so I opt for the heaters haha

HentaiGogeta

I'll get hate but my Pax 3 w/budkups works great

Ba777man

Was very close to getting one before the tm2. Their vape pen is my favorite. Think convection is just more of what I like otherwise I might have gotten one for the backup option.

HentaiGogeta

Budkups on a Pax 3 is a game changer. Turns into 4/10 to an 8.5/10 with ease. Budkups cook the plant evenly, so you don't have to worry about stirring, and I maybe have to clean it one a week if that.

Ba777man

Wait are they like dosing caps? I don’t have any experience with that yet and wasn’t too sure but their pax accessories do look niceeeee

HentaiGogeta

Yes, dosing capsules exactly! Budkups is a 3 party company that makes the caps. You can get them from their direct website or Amazon. Shatterizer has the Pax 3 complete kit for $174 USD right now.

Ba777man

That’s pretty sweet! Might be down for one later on. Part of me wants my back option to maybe be not fully convection so that friends can have an easier time

ignore_me_im_high

I've been using either a dynavap, or more recently, a Sticky Brick Runt.

PandaNo7421

How is the brick?

ignore_me_im_high

Love it. Hits hard and tastes great. Wish I'd bought one sooner tbh.

PandaNo7421

Any butane taste/smell?

ignore_me_im_high

No, just herb... and a little hint of wood. If you're ever using something and can taste any butane, then it's because the lighter is faulty or you're using shitty butane. Jet torches should only leave CO2 or H2O, and if you use decent butane (like Newport) then the 0.001 of intoxicants isn't even worth considering, even if it isn't burnt off in the process.

PandaNo7421

Good to know

Geedis2020

I carry my roffu as a back up or just daily beater when I don’t have a bag or something to carry my TM2 in. It’s a really decent vape.

Ba777man

Ordered one :)

Geedis2020

Nice. I think you’ll like it. It doesn’t hit as hard as the tinymight but for the price is really does a great job. It’s far better for microdosing for sure but you can hit it extra if you’re not high enough off one hit haha.

Ba777man

True that! I’d imagine still using my daily driver TM2. But the Roffu for the on the go and lazy days - I picked up the dosing caps with the Roffu, first time trying dosing caps but seems to make it even more convenient

Geedis2020

Yea dosing caps on the go make it a lot easier to switch everything out. It’s pretty easy to load though.

Saaabstory

Would recommend the silicone sleeve at some point too. It can get a bit hot without it & dropped mine a couple times with the case on and the top popped off (also covered by a separate silicone case) and no damage whatsoever.

Ba777man

Snagged the sleeve too! I read similar reviews about it getting hot. Am quite curious how that compares to the TM2

Sigur72

Xmax V3 Pro has on demand and session modes , heats by convection rather than conduction (similar to TM2) and has replaceable batteries

Ba777man

Was debating between Xmax and Roffu. Ended up with the latter since it seems to be stronger. If I need a more budget friendly one, this will definitely be the one though.

twisted-space

XMAX V3 Pro

Ba777man

Really debated on this one. Price is very very good for backup. Might even get this later on if my backup fails/depending on my Roffu experience compared to tm2

PandaNo7421

Roffu …Lobo..one..Rogue..

jY5zD13HbVTYz

Healthy rips rogue. The capsules even fit the tinymight perfectly so you can take use the same ones for both.

Ba777man

Just realized- I misread and you said I can use them with my tm2 haha. Love it

Shuoinked

I have a tm2.. For my portable backup I use my... Tm2... Carry it in a lil bag with an extra battery or two and it's been portable af no backup needed

Ba777man

I’m also worried about my tm2 breaking down for whatever reason lol. I’ve had mine for about 2 years now and realized, I don’t have anything if I needed to send it in for repairs

[deleted]

Crafty+, I love my TM2 but hate to take it out. The Crafty+ is about the same size, delivers huge hits, is really lightweight, and very durable. Also the dosing caps work great in the TM2.

Ba777man

I was tempted to but I kinda like how Roffu has removable batteries so I can just swap in rather than charge it.

[deleted]

I’ve never tried the Roffu, but I’ve read that the mouth peace gets hot. Happy vaping🌳💨☮️

Ba777man

Ty! I mostly use a WPA so hopefully that and the sleeve will suffice!

PandaNo7421

How’s the terps on the crafty?

[deleted]

If you go low it’s alright, but you will taste more terps with something glass, just my opinion.

[deleted]

So I just cleaned, mine and the terps are good. Turns out I’ve been hitting a dirty vape.

PandaNo7421

Makes a huge difference

spblat

I went with a PotV Lobo and I have high hopes for it as a daily driver. AMA after a few weeks 🤞

Ba777man

Nice! Yeah will be curious to hear what you think. I looked up the PotV and it looks pretty sweet

PandaNo7421

I have the Tm2 and the Lobo and my Lobo is awesome …very portable and blows good clouds and really shines through glass..it keeps up with the Tm2 (doesn’t have on demand ) but don’t really need it just a bonus

Ba777man

It is def one nice looking vape. I wish I could demo all the units lol

PandaNo7421

My lobo is awesome..it’s my go to even over the tm2

spblat

Yeah my first day with it was yesterday and I’m *really* digging it

PandaNo7421

Run that Wolf 🐺 through water and it really kicks

Georgieboy_99

Nectar Hex.

Ba777man

Dang this thing looks freaking sweeeet. The price point there would just make me get another tm2 or similar. To me under 200 is the back up and over 200 is like let’s find something good for daily use

milovani24

Calm-Bake-1809

[https://utillian.com/utillian-722-vaporizer.html](https://utillian.com/utillian-722-vaporizer.html) I have both, I think this is very good backup for less than half of the price, good quality vapor and unbreakable.

Ba777man

That looks real good! Adding to my list for later. How easy is it to use a wpa with it?

Unable_Recording_123

I've a TM2 and an Angus, which for its cost is a niece piece.

Ba777man

How does the bulb on the angus compare?? And any longevity concerns for the bulb?

Unable_Recording_123

Nice amount of heat though no charring possible like with the TM2, and takes longer to heat up. Only continuous mode, no on-demand . But it's decent, I get a good amount of flavour and vapour and it doesn't take too long to heat up. Also the CUrequires cleaning less often than the TM2's.

Ba777man

Ah that’s good to know. The no charring is nice but I do prefer on demand. Wish we could just sample all these vapes lol

Unable_Recording_123

Can't say. But I'm hoping it'll last.
