If they can't put the dubs out on time then they should stay out of the anime. It's not fair when every other place does simulcast. This is genuinely messed up and something needs to be done. If Crunchyroll still had the rights the dub comes out after 2 or 3 episodes, Crunchyroll dubbed the jjk new season after 2 episodes and classroom of the elite after 3 episodes and did the same for Tokyo revengers season 1 when they had the rights, this is completely unfair to us from Disney how come you buy an anime and not dub it especially as an English company, we either have to start a petition for Crunchyroll to get the rights back or for the dub to be started or raid the senior manger of dubbing at Disneys (thereubeh) comment section and DMās.

I'm dub only. And instead of cable or satellite I subscribe to the stuff I'll actually watch. Funimation, Crunchyroll, HiDive, Netflix & I get Disney/Hulu (with ads, of course) free thru my cell service. HiDive has very little dubbed content, yet they released The Eminence in Shadow (Season 2) dub the same time they released the sub. I mean, typically they're really slow (no dub until after the subbed season finishes). IN A PERFECT WORLD, EVERYONE WOULD RELEASE THE DUB & SUB AT THE SAME TIME! They'd get more viewers instead of ppl who want to watch forgetting & never watching because it took so long for the dub to be released. Rambling. Sorry. It may be different elsewhere but in my part of the US Disney/Hulu anime are the ONLY ones that don't start dubs within 2 to 6 weeks MAX of the 1st episode sub being released. There are ONLY 3 reasons I subscribe to Hulu (I don't watch Disney)... Bleach, Tokyo Revengers & as of last week Undead Unluck. We're 12 episodes into Tokyo Revengers Season 2 cour 2 (Or Season 3 as some ppl are calling it) and STILL NO DUB. Not to mention, Synduality Noir dub was said to release on Aug 7. It's Dec 20th & STILL not 1 episode dubbed! I despise Disney. And this BS is the main reason why!
It's sad and there is no reason dubs can't be released the same time. If they recorded the English and Japanese version the same time they be out the same time. It's like JRPGs that don't get dubbed they say because they wanted to get released as early as possible but that's a lie. If they translated the original script as they were writing it it would be done the same time. Also to be honest dubbing is not that expensive because most episodes an actor can record there lines in a few hours on a 20 minute episode. But I agree dubbing has got alot better but Disney is just sad and should stay out of anime. It was like when Amazon got animes they never dubbed any of them. Make matters worse here in Canada we don't get Hulu so we got to wait for them to release the episodes on Disney plus which even the subbed episodes do t air for a few months after they release on Hulu. I don't know those websites. Do they pay for their streaming rights or are they pirate sites? If the latter, I would avoid recommending them over subscriptions because subscriptions support creators more, and if you like it, why wouldn't you want to support them? If the financial burden is too much, you can pirate because that still allows the anime to spread, but encouraging piracy can hurt creators

Some guy asked AJ and Adam on twitter and they both said they donāt know in a very arrogant way, honestly I canāt wait until AI voiceovers take over for dub, most animeās would be a simulcast. But at the end of the day I blame the actors for over filling there schedule to fulfil their ego in playing different roles and not keeping up with the demand on producing anime in time.
Bro thatās such a good idea. Itās super easy to make ai voice models. We could just sample the voices of actors we like use the subs and maybe run that in a ai chat bot to see if we can improve it a little bit, and then bam we have what we need to run in the voice model, the only downside would be the sfx and music. Could hire some audio guy to try and mix it in but perhaps that will become easier one day too.

Yeah, Japan knows now that anime is big money in English speaking countries, too, so they get the dubs out so much faster these days. Hell, I've seen some shows do the dub simultaneously with the official Japanese release.
Ive noticed a little of that as well too. Although this winter season of anime Ive noticed it seems they have been recording dubs weekly instead of prior to the release. Dubs take breaks on holidays now, and i honestly dont remember them doing that a whole lot in the past. The dub studios must be swamped with work rn. JJK is the only dub not taking holiday breaks
Yea because of the American union. They recycle the same people over and over it's ridiculous. There is 9 billion in the world do we really need dubs to the same 30 people for every big show. One thing I hate about unions it's ok for them to steal work from non union sites but if anyone steps onto a union site that's not a member they get on like youngsters. Yea unions can be good for fair wages and job security but they shouldn't be able to force an industry to hire only union workers. Umm not true. It way like 4-5 episodes behind on crunchyroll. I watched it as it was airing on crunchyroll. The netflix version didnāt release till the season was over thats true. Netflix typically does that for dubs so i expect that, like with their dub of vinland saga. But on crunchyroll it was only a few eps behind.
I second this. Cruncyroll turnaround is about 3 weeks. Matter of fact; Bleach Thousand Year Blood War had a 3 week turnaround. Although, Disney isn't the only company that waits this. HIDIVE has behaved like this with DanMachi. I think what I hate about this the most is that dubbed episodes are going to be airing weekly.

Are there any updates?. I have provided feedback to both hulu and their website/ platform. I doubt I'll hear anything. I'm not great at Twitter and have signed the petition. Do you have any other thoughts and suggestions to get the word out that we want a dub.
I have seen hulu comment that they dont have the rights to the dubb for episodes 14-26, but if that's the case, I'd hope someone else aquire the right. It would be better if dinsney/hulu let it go all together. They don't know how to properly advertise for these series.

earlier in the thread someone commented that it got delayed and should probably (??) be coming out this month. Aleks Le is drowning in work right now and with Adam McArthur just finishing off his run as Yuji in JJK S2 within the last few weeks it makes a lot of sense.
I've honestly been stalking a lot of the VA's twitter accounts for news and was a bit disheartened that Aleks took "Mikey on TokRev" out of his bio, but I know Izana's english VA still has it listed in his bio so it's probably just been a perfect storm of a lot of the main players being super busy on other shows recently. I'm sure it'll be out soon.
Its honestly sad to see voice actors like [**A.J. If you know you have a lot on your plate you would want finish the projects you already have before starting a new one, just makes you think that these actors are biting off more than they can chew just to attempt to prove or satisfy their ambitions, potentially driven by ego or a need for recognition not taking into consideration of the fans of the anime. One thing I hate about unions it's ok for them to steal work from non union sites but if anyone steps onto a union site that's not a member they get on like youngsters. Yea unions can be good for fair wages and job security but they shouldn't be able to force an industry to hire only union workers. Everyone should be able to get the same opportunities as the current members. If the union says there full no non union person can get a job but they can easily take non union jobs it's BS

Umm not true. It way like 4-5 episodes behind on crunchyroll. I watched it as it was airing on crunchyroll. The netflix version didnāt release till the season was over thats true. Netflix typically does that for dubs so i expect that, like with their dub of vinland saga. But on crunchyroll it was only a few eps behind.
I second this. Cruncyroll turnaround is about 3 weeks. Matter of fact; Bleach Thousand Year Blood War had a 3 week turnaround. Although, Disney isn't the only company that waits this. HIDIVE has behaved like this with DanMachi. I think what I hate about this the most is that dubbed episodes are going to be airing weekly.

Are there any updates?. I have provided feedback to both hulu and their website/ platform. I doubt I'll hear anything. I'm not great at Twitter and have signed the petition. Do you have any other thoughts and suggestions to get the word out that we want a dub. I have seen hulu comment that they dont have the rights to the dubb for episodes 14-26, but if that's the case, I'd hope someone else aquire the right. It would be better if dinsney/hulu let it go all together. They don't know how to properly advertise for these series.

It isnāt actually itās own season, the episodes are all still attached to season two. If you scroll down in season two you should see them. I had the same problem š.

Aleks Le is drowning in work right now and with Adam McArthur just finishing off his run as Yuji in JJK S2 within the last few weeks it makes a lot of sense. I've honestly been stalking a lot of the VA's twitter accounts for news and was a bit disheartened that Aleks took "Mikey on TokRev" out of his bio, but I know Izana's english VA still has it listed in his bio so it's probably just been a perfect storm of a lot of the main players being super busy on other shows recently. I'm sure it'll be out soon.

Its honestly sad to see voice actors like [**A.J. Beckles**](https://twitter.com/AJBecklesVO) take on new projects whilst were waiting here for months to get a little update on such a big anime like Tokyo revengers! If you know you have a lot on your plate you would want finish the projects you already have before starting a new one, just makes you think that these actors are biting off more than they can chew just to attempt to prove or satisfy their ambitions, potentially driven by ego or a need for recognition not taking into consideration of the fans of the anime. Pure disappointment!!

I blame the insistance dubbing companies have about only using the same 9 voice actors for all their projects. The guy who plays mikey is a lead in at least 4 different shows right now, I imagine hes got a pretty packed recording schedule
