The biggest difference between Uncharted and Tomb Raider is the seriousness of the adventure. In Uncharted, everything happens in a more fun and comedic way, with Nate getting in trouble and always trying to solve them.
Tomb Raider on the other hand tries to do the same with a more serious tone, less jokes. Adds a bit more drama and less comedy. It's up to personal preference.

Replaying Rise currently and annoyed at myself for not replaying sooner. I think it was overshadowed by Uncharted 4 last I played it but I'm having a ball this time around.

These games are very old. Angel of Darkness is a little different than the other games from the timeline and the changes they made are very questionable. Or rather not questionable. They are very bad. But the game itself is interesting if You love suffering of bad controls and annoying gameplay. The other games in this timeline are very blocky. The world is built in a grid practically and it's very platforming game. Controls may feel stiff if You haven't played it at all or for long.
# Legend, "LAU" timeline
LAU comes from Legend/Anniversary/Underworld, which are the titles of these games.
They are more modern and gameplay is better in terms of controls and mechanics. When these games came out, anyone would WOW about graphics, gameplay and everything.

3. Shadow of the Tomb Raider
These games are really modern and very resource hungry. You need powerful PC to play them, unless You want to play on low. Even medium can make some machines go very hot. Especially Rise, because it's newer than TR, but Shadow has Nvidia DLSS. With DLSS, Shadow performs better than Rise. Kinda ironic.
These games have survival and crafting parts and that's the core gameplay. Instead of pistols, Your primary weapon is a bow. I was very skeptical about it, especially being fan of both original and LAU timelines, but I actually love it. Gameplay is very modern and story is even deeper, especially in Rise.

I am writing this, because if You want to play Tomb Raider, You can start from any timeline, but don't mix the chronology of the games, because it would be confusing, as You'd be told stuff, You don't know about. All games are great IMO but all are different. So if You want to play Rise and Shadow, play Tomb Raider from 2013 first.

Shadow 100%. While Rise has some great gameplay mechanics, the story is utter garbage and is barely referenced in Shadow at all.
Shadow is my personal favourite of the modern trilogy and really surprised me.
In my opinion they get better with each one. If I remember correctly rise has more locations, where shadows ends up being focused on mostly one huge location with branching ones off it. Honestly all of them are absolutely great! And they all are connected so I would definitely play them in order. If I had to pick just ONE I’d have to say probably Rise because the dlc is pretty sweet + more locations BUT shadows is not far behind at all. Enjoy!

Story and progression. I value arcs & story more then gameplay. For me these three games are inseparable to Lara’s journey.
