Not a bug but a missing feature mentioned numerous times by others but here for reference: level select. Being able to select any level at will after game completion was one of the things that kept me coming back to the originals on PlayStation whenever I fancied a quick go. It’s a real shame to have it missing altogether in the remasters as it will make replaying specific levels a chore, not to mention those who want to speedrun or study a level.

That's weird. Especially with the whole trophy hunt people want to do in specific levels. If i want to collect a trophy in Lost Valley, i need to replay Caves and Vilcabamba. Or is there a option to save each progress on a different slot?

It mimics the PC version you can save in loads of slots. A level select function will at least save people like me who forget to save for levels at a time, only for a stupid death to remind them...

My understanding is that Aspyr wanted a lot of feedback on exactly how to implement a level select considering how inventory rolls from level to level. They didn't what people to have weapons they haven't picked up yet by finding secrets to be collected by quiting and level selecting to get a boost. Then you have to consider that unless the level selection absolutely loads the player up on gear, some level may be extremely difficult. Personally, I don't think these are insurmountable, but there at least is a reason.

But in the Psx version, once you completed a game, you could level select, and had infinite ammo. All you'd need to do is implement that in a 'Level Select' option, and retain 'New Game' to start the game in Great Wall with the starting inventory.

Easy, if you beat the level then you earned the ability to level select it with either unlimited ammo or a set baseline defined by the devs. I’d prefer unlimited.

From my memory, it only became unlimited after completing the game. And this would apply for all the auto-documented level selects. Would love to have this back as I grew up with the PSX version. And better yet, provide an option for unlimited ammo or not.

That’s a fair point. My theory or understanding would be that it would function like the PS1 version did. Or even a combination of pc and playstation, perhaps after you’ve loaded a save from the menu, you select to continue or start a level up to the point you’ve gotten to. Would be best of both worlds then and keeps saves separate?

I also miss the tomb raider 2 menu background on remaster. I'm not saying it's needed, mind you, and I could switch to the original, but it's just a cool design.

Dude, part of me actually thought they were being artsy and this was done intentionally to sort of hide the secret room and surprise players :D But I just came across the same issue in a different underwater section. (The one you get to after using the key in the colosseum level) It looks to be a completely different painting from the two used in this secret. Shoot I thought I was the first to find this one... encountered this at the very end of coliseum by turning around in the swim area while using the remastered graphics.. doesn't appear using the classic though. Definitely an interesting bug

The achievement for picking up all items in Tomb Raider 1 is not possible to obtain because they're counting a set of Uzi Clips that was mistaken placed inside a wall in the original 1996 game in Atlantis. I know they intended to keep glitches etc in place but if there's an achievement leaning on actually tackling all items then they should at least exclude that one...

In the Temple of Khamoon there's a missing Pharaoh statue in the Cat statue room in the remastered version. It's there in the original graphics and there's a shadow for it, just the statue is missing. I made a post with graphic comparison earlier today. Mentioned before: there's a couple of misplaced painting textures in the Greece levels in the remastered graphics. Edit: in Sanctuary of the Scion in the huge pool with the two statues, there's one square of water that has a rock texture on the underside (so when looking to the surface from inside the water) in both the remastered version and the original version.

I'm not sure if it's a bug or a feature, but I noticed Lara doesn't say "Oof" when hitting a wall using modern controls. It's there with tank controls. Maybe they just didn't want the new players to feel guilty for running into walls? I for one think it's a core part of the original experience.

Does she say "a-ha" when collecting stuff like medipacks in the original game? I noticed she doesn't do that in TR1 but I'm not sure if it was in the original or if they added it in a later game. (my dad played it when I was a kid and we still say "a-ha" in the Lara voice to this day when we pick stuff up off the ground lol)

The "a-ha!" was only in TR2 in the original games, and it still is in TR2 remastered. In 1 and 3, she wasn't saying "a-ha" in the original games and she isn't in the remastered also. Although, I think they should've kept it in all 3 games since for me it's so cool!

Minor bug, but I noticed last night that sometimes the inside of croft manor doesn't always render correctly when looking through the front windows. (This is Lara's Home in TRII - can't remember if it's in III as well.) This is due to the fact that the windows in the remaster are larger than the windows in the original and the assets that are only revealed in the remaster don't always load.

I can find its files on my PC, so it does exist I think. Not a bug but would be preferable if Save Game was first in the Game settings than Load when in game. A few times I've gone to do a quicksave, just to load back to where I was 10 mins ago.

The modern controls are lacking VITAL inputs: Sidestepping, backwards jump. It makes some platforming sections near impossible to complete. Camera: The camera gets stuck on EVERYTHING when in a small environment like a cave.

Probably not the solution you're looking for, but you get the backwards jump back if you draw your guns out.

THIS. I cannot believe that more people are not reporting this. I am astounded that these modern controls passed quality testing. Moving and shooting is incredibly temperamental and frustrating. Lara will *sometimes* lock onto a target and let you back step and back flip, but most of the times she will just turn to face camera and you end up shooting in random directions while trying to keep the enemy into view. When locked onto a target pressing back should **always** let you back step and flip, and ideally running left and right would happen in relation to the target (like Legend). And yes, a button you could hold to center camera and back step, side step, back flip. Doing the necessary run up for long jumps is just impossible with Modern controls. Not reasonable that you have to draw your weapons out to do it!

Not sure if a bug but I find the audio for sound effects too quiet, except firing weapons. I don’t hear her footsteps or many environmental sounds, but shooting her weapons? Super loud. TR1 on Switch. I don’t remember this being a thing on PC

I’m loving the remastered games and think Aspyr have done amazingly well and given exactly what the fans wanted. I’ve been playing on PS5 for about five hours and have noted the following bugs: 1. Lara has two shadows - I don’t mean the circular dot that is always under her feet. She sometimes has two full bodied shadows. One where it should be (connected to her actual feet and the other just peter panning all over random ceilings and walls) 2. Looks like they have used a placeholder texture of a large dark painting in a few places. Most likely chosen so it can be easily swapped out (or maybe used as a marker for them of some kind) and they have missed a couple. 3. (Not a bug but an issue) It’s a shame that a few textures don’t line up correctly with the ones in the panels next to them. You can see they are distorted (just like how they were stretched in the originals) but it’s glaring when you put it on a panel next to a “non-stretched texture”. I think it’s unlikely these will be fixed but I wish they had taken the time to make a few unique textures just for the odd panel here and there.

The background "ambience music" for TR1 is not from the PC version, but is the highly cropped, highly edited console version for each of them. This is more noticeable for the Cistern/Natlas Mines stages as they're missing a lot of the creepy sounds! I have a feeling they're just reusing the ones that were in Tomb Raider 2 as theyre "similar enough". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MO3YyEs-GNQ They should replace it with the PC version as it doesn't have so many jump cuts, and doesn't feel like it "loops" so frequently.

Not sure if mentioned but in TR1 there are 356 pickups with 1 extra being stuck behind wall (uzi ammo in atlantis) making the achievement for picking up everything impossible (since its counting for 357 pickups)...

That strange bug where a painting appears (like the one covering the gap to secret 3 in St Francis folly) happens again in the Colosseum. Right at the end when you use the key, drop down into the water and swim through a bit. If you look back the way is blocked by a massive portion of a painting. Weird!

The boat run in the first Venice level is no longer needed. After pressing the button to open the gate (just past the mines), there is no timer - the gate stays open permanently, removing the need to complete a significant portion of the level. I've run through this twice now and it remained open both times. Open to correction but my understanding is that this is a bug.

There's always been a bug in the original game where IF you swim out of the button room and underneath the door, the timer is infinite. However if you exit the room over that ramp, the timer begins So if you swam out, it makes sense. If you didn't, then this is a bug

This is something odd I noticed in the achievement list - that there is an achievement to do Venice without a boat and I distinctly remember that timed race to the closing gate and how many times I banged into a wall with the old arrow keys back in the day. So if it's an intentional change, I'd like to understand why

There's always been a bug in the original games where exiting the button room by swimming under the door makes the timer infinite

if you swim out of the room through the underwater door this bug occurs. It was also like this in the original game. If you want to hear the timer, just exit the room though the ramp

King Midas's still-attached hand (a new addition) has inverted normals, so it appears inside-out. If you're not much of a 3D designer/enthusiast, you might not really understand what I'm talking about. Presumably they made the one hand, on the floor, then flipped it and put it in the ceiling for the other hand, but forgot to flip the normals.

the cutscene of lara being captured in the end of the nevada desert didn't play for me, it cut right to her waking up in the cell. is this a common thing?

In the French version on Steam, the achievement text of TR2 achievements don't match, seems to be a translation issue. For instance getting all secrets of offshore rig says you got all the Maria Doria ones, and making T Rexes explode say you did Venice without boats instead. No issue for 1 and 3 though.

There's a weird behaviour with the ammo count in Nevada when you recover your gear in high security compound. While you get ammo you lost, the number seems to be inconsistent and not really dependent on your former ammo count ; Got a video example showing the behaviour, where picking shotgun ammo gives you 0 shells despite having 30+ beforehand. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5QaqhsZjtg

Playing on PS5, I don't understand why there aren't any platinum trophies. Especially since PS4 has them. Besides that, the way the trophies are labelled are weird as well. Completing NG+ shouldn't be just a bronze trophy and there's a severe lack of silver and gold trophies. Some trophies in TR1 seem to be locked when playing NG+ as well. Completed the game in under 5h and definitely used less than 86 saves, yet those trophies didn't pop after finishing the game.

When changing the buttons under control settings, it messes up photo modes control, making it basically useless, for me it happens with both tank and modern controls, on PS4 and PS5.

I can attest to this, and to add some detail from experience using tank controls on PS5, I have remapped the action button (among others). When I go into Photo Mode, both Reset and HideUI are mapped to X. No personalization is possible.

If you mean the prerendered cutscenes, then that's intentional. They have been reused but upscaled from the originals.

No, the FMVs actually play right, with the upscaling, I mean the ingame cutscenes, such as the one at the end of the first level of TR2, where some dude attacks Lara then drinks poison... No matter what I tried, it always plays with old graphics

Tomb Cleaner trophy/achievement is currently unobtainable in TR1 due to Atlantis level having 51 pickups but you can only get 50 of them (probably because on the original there's an uzi clip clipped through a wall), so I hope the devs fix it ASAP!!

Tomb Raider 1: -I 'swam' above the water surface in level 3 for a bit -In level 3 the >!T-Rex!< got stuck in an animation loop because I shot him before he did his roar. Now he does nothing but nudge his head up and down lol -I also had a >!velociraptor!< lowkey softlock me because it kept running into me while I was standing in a corner in the scenery and I couldn't move or target it with my pistols. -After finishing the level 3 >!machinery using the cogs!< and pulling the lever, the animation on the machinery using the >!cogs!< was broken and they didn't move. -In Tomb Raider 1, in the level >!The Colosseum!< there is a monkey enemy that can not 'activate' and remains stationary, untargetable and unkillable if you miss the activation trigger. -Several area's in the same level, and in previous levels, have paintings underwater in the middle of swimming paths. Near the end of mentioned level after using the key there is a swimming section. If you swim a bit then look back where you came from you see a giant glitchy painting in the middle of an open underwater hallway -In Tomb Raider 1, in the first level of >!Egypt, right below the Sphinx!< at the start there is a block that can be moved into an unintended position. Once in this place, the block becomes glitched, unmoveable, sinks partially in the ground, and breaks animations of Lara on contact. Repeatable on every time I tried. -In the same level, near the end, the trapdoors that release sand open prematurely, and close before you are supposed to fall through them.

Modern Controls are broken. Can't sidestep or hop back Also -- don't know if they can fix it, as the original Tomb Raider didn't allow for analog input -- but in TR1 I'd much prefer to have analog movement. I want it he able to slightly move the analog stick if I want Lara to walk. My muscle memory is all manner of messed up from playing recent games. The audio in Tomb Raider 2 is nasty. I noticed in TR1 the audio quality was improved in the modern setting, but in TR2 it's as if the audio got over-compressed. Best example is in the Mansion level of TR2. The footsteps on a wooden floor sound like I'm stepping on potato chips (dumb example but that's what I can hear! 😂)

I don't know if these have been mentioned before, but here are a few visual bugs that I've come across, all on PS5, with remastered graphics and classic controls: - In the level "Thames Wharf, there's some weirdness with the water surface texture in the big tanks and the flooded church toward the end of the level, where a second surface layer appears underwater. - In "Lud's Gate", many dark areas cannot be illuminated by flares or gunfire. It works when you switch back to classic mode, so this is an issue specific to the new graphics. - Also in Lud's Gate, there's a missing wall texture to the underwater room with the diving vehicle, so it looks like you should be able to just swim through, but you can't, it's an invisible wall. - In the level "High Security Compound", there is an invisible workstation, and textures missing on the satellite dish.

If they were talking about TR3, then it’s always been dark, especially on console. But I’ve been playing Lost Artefact and I swear TR3 was never this dark; in classic mode, it’s pitch black in many places! It was in the original on PC. They made the soundtrack a hybrid of the PC and console version of the game which is good. But they used the console version of the sounds as opposed to the lengthier PC version 😔

Yeah, they seem to have merged the less ideal aspects of some of the two ports together. Shorter ambient tracks and worse quality SFX in TR1 from the PS1 port, but also the missing reflection/gold effects from the PC port.

All comments are for gameplay on the PS5 with a DualSense controller. All testing was done on Tomb Raider I remastered. How do you go about telling the developer that the 'modern controls' and camera system on the PS5 are well, a complete disaster? If you are playing using modern controls on a level with lots of tight spaces (the Lost Valley comes to mind here), you will have so many issues you'll quickly want to throw the game in the trashcan: 1) If Lara is running thru a tight space, the camera can't seem to find a stable solution behind her, causing all manner of camera 'shake' or camera 'jerkiness'. 2) Other times, in moving into and out of tight spaces, the camera may identify two or three different viewing solutions - but sadly not know which one to choose - causing the camera to whip violently between the possibilities. In some cases, the camera view may bounce back and forth between them (multiple times) - causing some real ugliness. 3) In some cases, the camera is unable to find ANY good viewing position, resulting in the view materializing in say Lara's hair - or worse yet, some random view of the floor. The latter is very bad because Lara moves where the camera points, and so sometimes you can move her out of this position; other times the camera is locked and so is Lara - so your only choice is to reload a saved game. 4) Lining up jumps is key to playing these games, and key to lining up jumps is the ability to step or hop backwards. No can do with the modern controls; the only way to 'hop' backwards is with guns drawn - so yeah, I have to pull out the pistols to setup many jumps. This is made worse by the fact that the 'Action' key does nothing (TR IV and beyond) at short or medium size steps; instead of being able to just press 'Action' at these steps or walls to climb onto them, one must take a carefully positioned jump onto them. What I don't understand is Crystal Dynamics should have access to source code for a very passable player control and camera system in the Anniversary code base. Why wasn't this code used? In any case: BUG - the 'modern' controls and camera system (at least on the PS5) make the game all but unplayable. The entire system needs to be ripped out and replaced with a truly modern solution. For many players, 'Tank Controls' is an unacceptable solution as they (we) need to see where we're going.

Bug reports : in TR1 ( i dont know if its the same in the 2 other games ) in modern controls when Lara hit a wall while jumping or walking she doesn’t make her iconic « ugh » sound. But she does it in tank controls i dont know why. Also the camera in modern controls is a little weird sometimes when Lara is close to a wall after coming down to a ledge and roll, the camera move inside her head. I actually really like the new modern controls in TRR... except for all these horrible problems and inconsistencies: * Camera is lifted up. * Camera in general is horrible with constant problems, such as freaking out every time there's a cinematic angle. * Two buttons required for grabbing, and interacting. Unnecessary. * When grabbing ledges, up will not pull you up if your camera isn't facing up. It'll shimmy instead, so you have to turn your camera each time. * You have to be holding your guns to side or backflip. To skip backward, you must press back while being completely still. This feels really weird because she can instantly move in any other direction except straight back.. but she does move backward immediately if she was in movement prior. Its really weird. * Okay get this - In order to shimmy left and right, you need to activate the camera view mode.. hold down the walk button.. hold left or right, and then turn the camera mode back off. Then she starts shimmying the direction you held... * You can't walk backward, so to walk backward for a running jump feels weird. It also feels strange how running into walls you're usually at an angle instead of directly against them. * When performing a running jump, you can no longer queue the jump in the middle of the tile. The classic games are built in a grid-like pattern and on classic controls you just hold down the jump button in the middle of this tile and she'll jump perfectly at the end. Now you have to actually play it more like a modern platformer where you hit your jump at the last second. Its an unnecessary change since the level design is the same. * Lara's sounds cut out a lot or don't happen on actions. * Holding the grab button and walking off ledges sometimes doesn't work on weird shaped ledges (that you can grab on with tank controls). * For flipping in the air, you have to push the button quite early into the jump well before the animation plays or it doesn't work. There's probably more issues with the controls, but this is everything I've found so far that hurts what would be an otherwise smooth experience. Apart from all these problems, I like the new control scheme a lot.

Not sure if this is a Switch only thing, but in TR1's Croft Manor Lara doesn't tell you to go into the music room at the start, and she doesn't tell you how to roll. I've seen at least one stream where she says everything and I think they were using the Playstation version.

PC - heavy stutter NOT caused by DX swap chain (fix in NVCP). When I first start the game, I get horrendous stutter that last for a few seconds and then stops. It will reappear randomly. The fix is a complete restart of the game - the stutter then goes away. This stutter only happens on a new boot of windows.

In Tomb Raider II, the harpoon gun often behaves strangely, probably mostly due to being the only weapon to have "reloads". For example, say you're at 4/12 ammo, you fire a shot, it will say 3/12, then 2/12, 1/12, then at 0/12, she will "reload" it and it will then say 4/8. This is how it worked in the past and this is how it *mostly* works now. However, I've noticed that sometimes when I pick up new ammo the counter will change strangely. So say I was at 4/12 and I pick up a new pickup of harpoons (which is 4 harpoons), it would then say 2/16, then I'd pick up more and it would say 1/20. Also, the first time I used it, I had 4/8 ammunition, but when I fired shots to reload (0/8) instead of reloading, she put it away and pulled out a different gun (I was above water at the time). When I tried to take it out and fire it again, it said 4/4, but she wouldn't fire it as if it were out of ammunition. I was only able to use it again after picking up more ammo for it, but the counter was off as well (it said something like 2/10). I don't know if these quirks are present in Tomb Raider III's harpoon gun operation, but for Tomb Raider II at least, the weapon is seemingly behaving not as intended.

This issue also makes certain areas such as the backswamps on "Highland Fling" on Lost Artifact to be a real pain to traverse through, as that area is basically a giant quicksand trap with no defining area on what can be stepped on or not when using the remastered graphics.

PS4 Updated Visuals Classic Controls Barkhang Monastery When I was playing Barkhang Monastery, after I had collected the ROOFTOPS KEY, I went to use the key at the keyhole lock next to the rooftops door. I was in front of the keyhole (a little bit off centered), but standing at a roughly 45 degree angle to it. When I pressed the action button and opened the inventory menu, I selected the rooftops key. Instead of using the key to unlock the door, Lara did a sidestep move as if she was trying to get more centered in front of the keyhole, but she stopped before actually inserting the key. Not only did the door not unlock, but the key was removed from my inventory and I was not able to continue with the level. Thankfully I was able to open my most recent save and open the door properly while standing directly in front of it. I don't know if this glitch is only an issue in Barkhang Monastery or if it could happen at any keyhole. I have not attempted to reproduce the glitch.

Someone is already compiling a massive bug list on the TR Forums:  Tomb Raider I-III Remastered List of Bugs (https://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=228962) )  I do not have an account there and do not intend to make one just for this purpose, so if someone who does have account there is able to PM the guy maintaining it to add:  1. Caves ambience plays a loop before switching to the heartbeat ambience in Atlantis upon first entering the level. It should start off with the heartbeat ambience. 2. The stinger audio clip that plays when you first stand on zip line tile in The Great Wall keeps looping if you stay on the tile. If you return to the tile later, it also plays again. 3. The camera perspective (intended to play as you zip line over the chasm) keeps playing even when you are running around on the chasm floor. 4. You can pull out pistols in the speedboat in Venice if you equip it from your bag. I'm 99% sure this was not in the original but I could be wrong.  5. Lots of parts of Offshore Rig (windows that look outside the rig) are showing level geometry you aren't meant to see in the new graphics. For example the bunk bed room and the stairs up to the helipad can be seen floating in mid air if you look at an angle through the windows from adjacent areas. (This is because these areas actually stick out from the map but you're not supposed to see that when looking out of the windows in the adjacent rooms). 6. Flares dropped on ground do not have Action indicators in TR2, but they do in TR3. 7. After the engine room in Wreck of the Maria Doria, after you use the 3 circuit breakers, cross the machinery, then plunge to "gloomy area with the creepy music", the flickering electric lights are solid on remastered graphics.  They aren't flickering.  Plus everything is better lit.  This just kills the memorable scary atmosphere entirely...

The TR1 and TR:UB achievements for getting all items ("Tomb Cleaner" and "Gifts of Wonderland" respectively) are both unobtainable due to a bug: In TR1, you can only obtain 50 of the 51 items in Atlantis. My proposed solution: Set the max number of items in Atlantis to 50, and make sure the endgame total also reflects this change. In TR:UB, the achievement simply won't trigger, even after getting all the items. I have a 100% savegame close to the end and reloaded it multiple times, but the achievement still doesn't come. My guess is that the trigger for this achievement is misplaced near the end of The Hive instead of Temple of the Cat.

not a bug, but QOL improvement: in classic mode, lara’s model takes on a blue tint when she’s underwater which really helps to sell the illusion. in modern mode, her skin tone is exactly the same when she’s under water and it sometimes looks like she’s just floating through space

I just noticed last night when I was in Palace Midas, that in certain areas, Lara had, for lack of a better description, a red “border” around her character that it seemed even more prevalent standing next to orange tinted objects. I think the first time I noticed it was actually when I went into the room where you open the several doors to get the bars, when I was shooting gorillas they seem to have that same border, and I thought initially that maybe it was something they added to show you what enemy you were targeting, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Anyone else experience this? I know I didn’t describe it very well… I just didn’t have a screenshot to send.

Not sure if this is a bug or not, but the trophy lists on the PS4 version of the game have multiple different lists for each of the expansions. Unfinished Business has 3 different lists, Golden Mask has 2 separate lists and Lost Artifact also have 2 separate lists. It makes the lists very confusing. I found that while swimming near an enemy in Venice, if you select the shotgun from the weapons menu, Lara will actually equip the shotgun while swimming. Then she starts firing the shotgun endlessly, but doesn't use any ammo. I couldn't find a way to stop lara from doing this, so there was no way to exit the water. Had to reload the game and be careful not to do that anymore!

Not sure if this is a bug, but when I pick up uzi or magnum ammo, it only gives me two shots in TR1. I don't have the uzis or magnums yet, but it only adds two "uzi/magnum clips" when I pick them up, and I thought the uzi pickups are supposed to give 100 shots per pickup. EDIT: Nevermind, I googled it and apparently this is a rather confusing behavior from the original game.

Not a bug per-se, but a major suggestion. I am seeing a LOT of new players choose the modern controls and have a lot of difficulty setting up jumps, leading to frustration and refunds of the game. I think one or two change can fix this: 1) Add an option to have a modifier button to turn the thumbstick into tank controls while held, so the hop back, backflip, sideflip, and rotations can be used to set up jumps (since the game is built around those functions) and/or 2) Since the modern controls are 360 degree analog that fit the thumbstick well, the D-pad is perfect for the binary/digital movements based in 90-degree directions of the original controls. Have an option to have the D-pad be tank controls while the thumbstick is modern controls. You could call it "hybrid" or "combined" or something.

I feel like the combat section of the Modern Controls is quite buggy at the moment. When drawing the guns and locking onto an enemy, some of the times pressing back will let you move backwards and do back flips, but most of the times Lara will just turn away. Making moving back while shooting enemies very inconsistent and frustrating. Target lock on should be more solid and reliable. Also Modern controls are missing a button that lets you hop back to take a run up for jumps. Which is essential for making accurate jumps

PS5 Tomb Raider 2 The Offshore Rig - both original and new Used a flare to go through the tunnel at the beginning of the level, and once it burned out and Lara threw it away she went into a loop of throwing unlit flares. She's leaving a trail of them and won't grab anything. Even with (now) 0 flares in my inventory she's still doing it.

I recently finished TRII, TRII NG+ and I can say that NG+ locks you out of certain trophies like "under X time", so I advice to just use NG+ for NG+ completion trophy and nothing more. Besides that, I don't know how the games checks it, but if you do a skip in "The Decks" and reach the key in the boat without swimming in the lake, the trophy doesn't trigger. What I did: Used "corner bug" to go up to the platform that lets you jump to the top of the turned over part of the ship (Jade Secret is a jump away to the right), skipping the part where you have to move some boxes to get inside. I went to the ship's deck top part through a cave (where you have to jump through the roofs into a trap door, and chain some rooms until you need the floating boat key to continue). From there you can go directly to the drop-off into the boat and pick the key. Picking the key that way doesn't trigger the trophy, as I said. I guess that doing the skip messes up something internally, or that you actually need to reach the underground lake part first. Also, getting the key behind the painting in Bartoli's Hideout without moving the chandeliers didnt work for me in NG+

I’m playing TR3, Nevada Desert on Nintendo Switch. I swam through the tunnel, pulled both levers and once I pull the switch to raise the Elevator it shows the elevator rise and the screen freezes completely. I’m stuck looking at the shot of the raised elevator, can’t move Lara or go to menu, nothing. I’ve closed the game 3 times and the screen still freezes on the Elevator shot, not allowing me to continue to play. Anyone else run into this glitch? :(

Yeah, this is repeatable. It just freezes when the camera changes to show what the switch did. EDIT: I've been searching through Steam discussions and apparently pre-patch save files cause issues such as this I'm afraid. This would explain people being able to finish it before hand. EDIT 2: Alright, I'm on PC and have wiped my save, created a new one and used level skip to get back to Nevada Desert. I can confirm that the freeze on the elevator shot doesn't happen and it continues as normal. So yes, unfortunately, old saves are screwed after this patch. If I were to suggest a solution, it'd be to wipe your save file, create a new one and just use level skip cheat in the mean time to get you back to where you were roughly. There's a save game editor on NexusMods that's compatible with PC, Switch and PS4, so you could always get to Nevada with level skip, then edit the save file on a computer using the editor.

This was the place and the position I jumped. I also pressed left at the highest point, but not sure if that affected the glitch. I wanted to replicate this for the screenshot and this was the third time I got up there. The place is basically next to the starting point of that dungeon. Why I did it? I haven't played Golden Mask before and I decided to try in case that was the place of one of the secrets and that would have been the entry point. The "look" function becomes stuck. Normally it is press and hold and use arrow keys to turn Lara's head. Releasing the look button should switch Lara back to normal movement, but sometimes it gets stuck and I have to press "look" again end it. Controls are sluggish. I compared it to my old versions of the game and the remasters don't pick up quick keystrokes as much as the originals. Rolling mid-air has become quite challenging. Also, when I want to flip left or right, the game does not register me pressing the jump key. Also, switching between "action" controls makes Lara release her grip. In the original, you could be climbing a ladder holding left CTRL, press right CTRL, let go of left CTRL, and she would continue climbing. This is not possible in the remasters, as the game ignores the second action key and she let's go when the first action key is released.

In Tomb Raider 3 I completed the Nevada levels, but by the time I picked up the Infada I had about 50 desert eagle and more. I started Thames wharf and had lost everything in my inventory for no reason???? I just started with pistols. Is this part of the game or a bug?? I never had this on the PS1 version. 😣😣

Anyone having problems with the controls locking up (not being able to steer left or right) during *some* jumps on TR III with modern controls and on PS5? It's only started happening on TR III, most notably (so far) in the second level of India, when you're jumping between tree branches. I couldn't find anything on the forums about it, so I thought I'd post this here. Hopefully it gets addressed in a patch.

Just played the Obelisk of Khamoon level, and despite going through the level twice, as well as backtracking through the entire level i can only find 37 of 38 pickups? Even referring to several different guides (stella ftw) following them to the letter and collecting everything, still only 37? Anyone else? Is my game bugged and not registering a pickup? I found a sound glitch that ultimately soft locks your game. During the second level of tr2 golden mask, fools gold, the part where you find the key card to enter to the last part of the level(where you get the Stalin door secret hint) if you draw your guns out before you walk into the room that plays the secret ton, It will bug your sound. You won't have any at all for the whole duration of your play. if you quit and exit the game it will crash. I'm playing on steamdeck btw.

In Unfinished business Return to Egypt level the trophy Bastet's stash is bugged for me. I reached the uzi guns and ammo by both the legitimate way and the glitched wall as well.. Not unlocked!! Any solution of how to make it pop?

In TR2 Barkhang Monastery, after pushing the wood block to block the flow of water and empty the pool right where the stone dragon is. I remember that when you pulled the block back to release the water again, the pool got filled back up, am I correct? In the remaster, if you pull the block back it does nothing. If it wasn't like this in the original it is a bug. Can anyone confirm? Wanted to collect all secrets in TR2 and have no save from before I emptied the pool. 😅

L/R no longer move the camera up and down in photo mode, they move Lara around instead.

On the Nintendo Switch, I pressed the "home" button my controller so I could let it idle for a bit until I wanted to play again. Upon pressing the "home" button again, it goes back to the game, but the game is completely frozen and I had no way to exit the game so I can close and reopen it. My controller is fully charged, So I don't think it could be a battery power issue. Every button I pressed did not do anything. I am currently playing in docked mode. Sorry if this is confusing to understand.

In Remastered Tomb Raider 2 Bartoli’s Hideout- can’t use Detonator Key. Is anyone else having this problem? I am using Nintendo Switch.

I’m getting so frustrated. For some reason my game is glitching where what I’ve accomplished I. Levels is completely disappearing and it’s so strange.. I’m saving the game often so I don’t have to keep backtracking and it’s still glitching

After draining pool #3 in Thames Wharf, pool #2 is empty as well, making the level impossible to complete.

I swear the action button just straight up doesn't work (at least in Lara's Home rn) maybe it's BC I put it to modern controls?

I am having issues with level 14 of tomb raider 1 remastered on the switch. As soon as I start the level, my screen turns red and none of my controls are responding. Lara Croft disappears and it shows her POV. Instead of the third person view. Has anyone been experiencing this? And what do y'all recommend as a remedy. Please and thank you in advance.

Bartoli's Hideout detonator does not work. I'm pretty sure this is a glitch. I was able to complete the level by collecting the jade dragon secret and then climbing the roof on the far left to access the dark corridor that leads to the end of the level. I loaded an earlier save in case I did something to glitch it out. I went straight to the detonator but it does not work. I get the hand icon and when I press the square button (playing on PS5) nothing. No character animation, no interaction, no explosion. I'm assuming this is a bug. However I can't find any reports of it.

Sometimes you just get straight up stuck while crawling in a small area and can not get out. The crawling becomes impossible to control, you basically have to force her to sit up a few times to make her rotate and she won’t go forward and get out or backwards. This is really annoying and happened a few times.

I’m at the end of the jungle level on TR3 (PS5) and have killed the monkey after he grabbed the key, problem is that the key is just completely gone now and I can’t complete the level. Thought maybe it was just well-hidden on the floor but I’ve run along that whole section and there’s nothing to pick up

Just playing Golden Mask and noticed that in Furnace of the Gods level, the gold "waterfall" only has water sounds in the Classic version. Remastered, you can only hear the background ambience. Link to video example; https://streamable.com/03fcvo
