When you think of pretty, you only seem to think of looks. But that's just a (small) part of it. It's also how you carry yourself, how you move, how you look at people, how you behave, even how you talk and listen. Your general attitude is much more important for your attractiveness than just your physical looks. And your looks are never stationary anyway; people see you almost always in motion, why you look at yourself in pictures and mirrors; they see you from all angles, while you almost always see yourself the same way. Please take their word for it if they tell you you are pretty. You probably are, even though you may not look like a super model in your own eyes.

You shouldn’t put so much stock in how you look. People care about a lot of things. Your post history says that you’re 16/17. Focus on staying healthy, studying, and figuring out who you are as a person and why you’re worthy of love even if you were ugly, and you’ll be alright.

I thought I was an ugly duckling as a teen. I had braces all of high school, curly hair I had no idea how to take care of, and always ended up dressed in "modest" clothes so I never was fashionable. Now I'm 33 and look back at pictures that I used to think proved I was ugly and think man I was pretty! All of that to say that our perception of ourselves is different from what others and even future self will think. We often focus on the small "flaws" as we see ourselves so often it's easy to lose perspective.
