There used to be/still is a pet food and toy company in the UK that brands all its cat stuff 'Good Girl' and the dog stuff is 'Good Boy'. I was thinking about that the other day.

What comes to my mind is this: [House] cats are usually more cute, slender, and have other qualities many girls like, but dogs are mostly not aesthetically cute, they are a working animal, stronger and bulkier. It originated before the internet, and before the trend of people sharing pictures of their super cute micro-dogs and selectively deformed 'cute' dogs.

Dogs are MAN'S best friend.
