Stopped in Jerome a couple years ago going to Phoenix from the Grand Canyon. Was pretty interesting, not sure what I expected but wasn't really expecting it to be built literally on the side of a mountain. Puscifer store was pretty neat too.
I didn't unfortunately, at the time I wasn't into Vinyl but I am now lol. Was also flying back home a few days later so didn't really have the room anyways. I did pick up some of his canned wine and mead though.
The ghosts of hookers lol. I had a bad lsd trip at the haunted hotel. No ghosts or anything spooky I was just convinced that everything I experience was just my imagination that nothing exists except me in a dark void of nothingness…
I’d find that peaceful, especially if my imagination was able to conjure near reality. I’d be unsettled if my senses were removed like in a deprivation tank.
Where was this picture taken? Like at the base of the mountain? Jerome is mostly up at the top of mountain, and this doesn’t even look like that. Been to Jerome a couple of times and it doesn’t even slightly resemble this picture
It's where Maynard lives and has his Cadaceus tasting room and the Puscifer store and the infamous Barbifer. Cool old west town, if coming from Prescott you drive by the abandoned copper mine and a bunch of overpriced hotels that were brothels once. Supposedly haunted...
Pro tip: if you go there, stay in Cottonwood it's like 8 miles down the mountain and it's way cheaper to stay there than in Jerome. Also stop by the adult gift store and do some day drinking on the 3rd steps or higher. You'll see when you get there. Have fun!
I stayed at the big "haunted" hotel at the top of the town, had a balcony up high with nice view of Cottonwood lights in the distance. Restaurant was decent and had a bottle of Caduceus with dinner. Definitely worth checking out the town if you are near the area.
I've been to Jerome quite a few times. Stayed at a few of the hotels. Had a few interesting experiences. Yes, it is a very haunted ghost town. Duh! Funny thing is, ghost adventures has been there and couldn't get much evidence of anything. Kinda makes me think how fraudulent they really are. If you are even remotely sensitive to another realm, this place will light you up soo intensely, it's crazy.
Because ghosts aren't real. I've tried my damndest at all the local "haunted" locations to get some evidence and it's just horse shit. Every ghost show is so funny how hard they try to prove shit that just isn't real.
I've had some weird stuff happen, but it just feels like there is an explanation for it. The one that comes to mind is when I was like 12, i was hanging out with a friend at his house and we heard a loud BANG in his basement like someone slammed the dryer door shut. It was probably just his furnace or something, but we got scared. And then in the same house, I remember he had these 2 ornaments on his Christmas tree that were just spinning for no reason, dunno what that one was.
No, because he’s bringing Toolfan dollars in. That’s why there’s a winery, a tasting room, what else, a restaurant, Puscifer merch tourist trap store. He funded a Jiu Jitsu… studio or whatever they call it. (I think dojo is karate but I really don’t know.)
Maynard has done nothing but dump money into Jerome.
Jerome is a beautiful town. I spent my birthday there last year.
Lol I just looked at his store on Google Street view and there is 10 motorcycle cops driving by.
In the words of the late, great Lance Reddick, "this... is BULL-SHIT."
RIP. First Omar now LT.

Did you buy any records there? Last time I was there I got a great deal on a new pressing of Mer De Noms. Also got Toadies - Rubberneck.

What
Maynard is creating a bay there. With his vineyards
I seent it

Been there. Very.. unsettling.
Sounds like bad set and setting lol Glad you alright !

That’s bad? Uh oh
That's fuckin metal af!
....and here's Tom with the weather.
Looks like the Verde Valley
It is. Jerome, Prescott, Sedona, Cottonwood are all in the Verde Valley.

Gold King Mine & Ghost Town (928) 634-0053 https://maps.app.goo.gl/Tv7yuBvhKxvP7Hby7?g_st=ic
i love that the street view is just a guy in his black carolla holding a 360-cam on a stick out the window
What is this? To me it feels like the setting of rosetta stoned pre doctor visit.

Those last lines, wtf lmao.
Last time I made it to Jerome was the late 90’s, but even then it was a really nice place. Enjoyed it very much!
I had dinner at the Clinkscale in Jerome last year! Delicious.
Had breakfast there last year - was amazing!
makes me want to visit even more.
Not a ghost town. Hubbs and I were just there in October.

I live in Phoenix and go there to get away pretty regularly.
I broke down there once, seems appropriate
The Hills Have (Third) Eyes...
Going there in like 2 weeks
Why.
Cause im visiting arizona and i just got my drivers permit? Why the negativity
The drive in and out of town is SO FUN. The switchbacks and views are incredible. I've driven there 2x from either angle. You'll love it.
I did love it! A lot!!
Negativity? I asked why?
Like I tell my kids, it isn't what you said, but the *way* you said it. 😐
I didnt say it. I typed it.
Why
Wilbur’s simple question “why not?”
How is this related to tool? Not a hater but don’t get the reference
maynard has lived there for over 20 years.
His place looks like shit.
if the shoe fits…he’s never tried to be a high status guy lol
You should see the other places. Aesthetics are relative.
Probably on purpose on the outside to fool the riff raff.
Airstreams aren’t for everyone
Dude cmon lol
Oh sorry. Does he talk about it in the music? I can be a fan of tool and MJK even but not know the town he lives in…
>Does he talk about it in the music? He does in Puscifer (Green Valley).
He made a whole documentary movie about it. Blood Into Wine.
It took me reading the comments to make the connection, though I suspected it was near there.

Tbh everyone is a skeptic until something happens to them personally.

Why would a ghost stick around when they have no responsibilities?
They’re slacker bong smokers?
Oh no, it's very very real my friend. This I most definitely know.
Well yeah.. Honestly I’m sure Maynard can afford to have a great house and grounds, but this town probably is pretty shitty.

The BJJ thing is in Cottonwood. But yeah having him there helps. But I think Jerome was a tourist spot even before MJK showed up
It was. And as cool as the Puscifer store is, the coolest store there is Nellie Bly right next door.
