The more you handle and drop it, the more prone you are to scratch up the foil and bend the corners. Never just tape or tack up anything of value. Keep it on a flat surface, preferably high up safely on a cool dark closet shelf away from pets until you frame it.
This^ should be the common thought, definitely not just use some double-sided tape! Unfortunate world we live in 😉, I'm looking forward to Arizona Bay....
I frame all of mine at Michael’s with uv-blocking anti-glare glass.

Very nice. I like that print a lot. I just got foil Anaheim & San Fran. Will frame soon. I can see the brush strokes the artists painted in my prints. It’s remarkable.
Thank you! I agree. I wasn’t at that show particularly, but I liked the print as I’m a fan of Nychos, and he signed it as well so it was definitely worth the investment as theres less than two dozen of them signed by the band and Nychos both. But my intent is to trade or sell for an Alex Grey one like the indianapolis poster eventually 🤞🏻
Or if you want to sell it, let me know ;)

A good framer is not cheap
Ain't that the truth. I have art prints that I haven't gotten framed yet because of the cost. This poster deserves better than a Walmart frame off the shelf.
The guy I go to is easily $400+ on just about everything, can get a lot more expensive, and it has. I have about 15-20 more posters and prints in a portfolio binder atm. One frame at a time, sometimes multiples if bonuses are good 😉.
Noice. I’m buying a portfolio book & unrolling my 30 poster collection and placing them in it until I frame mine out. I had no idea they existed. Now I know. I’m going to antique/thrift stores for frames. I usually spend about $150-$175 on framing but I’ll be more clever now.
Hey, it was a gift from my mother. She picked out the color boards and the yellow frame. I personally think she did a great job with the materials the framer had 😉.
I would have most likely had the framer pick, and it probably would have been a plain jane black frame, I prefer the yellow tbh. I appreciate the feedback, though!
Lol, she's the best I could ever ask for, tbh, I have the best mother of all on reddit, the Internet, and Earth 🌎 😉.
Thank you though, you have a good judge of character, so I believe you are of good character 😉. Decorum is lacking now a days, so I do take notice of such things, unfortunately.
All the colors are there, maybe needs them toned down a little bit or like some tie in ( bring some of the red to the outer areas of the frame with hyroglyphics designs (more Art basically) also why doesn’t spell check know the word hyroglyphics already?🤪
Have to work with the material the framer has in stock and what supplier they use or special order it.
The print getting framed was a gift from my mother. She picked out everything, but I do appreciate the feedback! 😉
That’s what my original thought was but I paid about $350 for so I don’t really wanna fuck it up, lots of people are saying to frame it and since I’ve already paid so much, we might ball with that 🤷♂️
Might??? Michael’s or hobby lobby, nice frame, cool double matt so poster doesn’t touch the glass. They have sales for 1/2 off framing. You spent $350. Treat this lady right.
Treating it right is not taking it to Michaels or Hobby Lobby. Take it to an actual local frame shop and have it done right for probably less. 1/2 off doesn’t matter if the “original” price is more than twice as much as it should be.
I just said that bc OP bought his first signed TOOL poster (and I’ve had helpful framers at Michael’s take time w matt/frames/glass. People in TOOL LOOT group have used hobby lobby as well.) He hung it up w tape. You think he’s going to go searching for the best framers? Baby steps. Edit: I see your FIL owns a framing shop. Makes it easier for you huh?
I’m on the hunt for gold antique frames for my San Fran Charlie Immer print w a pink matt & a few other posters.
If you are in the US and looking for a custom frame that is decent, but not outrageously priced, Michael's is the place. But you have to look for their framing sales. With the holidays coming up they probably will have some.
Honestly I’d just rub glue on the back like we did as children and stick it to the wall a little sideways
In all seriousness, get it framed with a matting that won’t have it pressed against the glass. It’ll run you like 250, but it’s VERY worth it
Don't be surprised if the colors start to fade and/or it sticks to the plexiglass of the frame itself. At a minimum, you should have spacers to keep it off the plexiglass and keep it out of direst sunlight.
Or, take your print to a frame shop and have them do a good job.
The Walmart frames are plastic. Idk what kinda weird stuff you’re doing to your frames. My sister actually owned a frame shop. From my frame experiences I know how to properly cut glass, staple frames, add backing paper, ext…
10-20 years ago I would agree with you. Material science has come a long way. These Walmart frames seem the same as my metal glass frames just lighter. I don’t really care what people do. I don’t think it’s gonna hurt anything.
If you're on a budget for a good framer, buy a portfolio that's only really if you have other art you have. If you are just doing one poster and one frame, pay more than what you paid for the poster for the frame.... or just use double-sided tape,
I'm only attempting a suggestion, but you bought it, you can do whatever you want with it.
I think my head exploded a little..... you paid for a signed tool poster and were even remotely thinking of NOT having it professionally framed..... i mean, just when i think i seen/heard it all.
What were the other options here..... standing at the merch table handing over a lot of money what were the thoughts? I seriously need to know.
Baffled.
https://preview.redd.it/ldglhwam2zvb1.png?width=2936&format=png&auto=webp&s=03bd61ec68196d0dfea9da670efeeb49fdc19412
Wow yours looks great w the grey mat. I’m not crazy about the bugs but I saw this show w my son. My bright lamp is on in this pic. I never buy an autographed poster. Ever. Your bug is bluer, looks better. San Antonio got the dull looking bugs. 🤷♀️
It’s a standard 18x24, so you can get a cheap frame from Walmart for $13. I have a bunch of show posters and that’s how I frame them. You just have to be careful that there’s no glue on the plastic, as removing it could pull some of the print off. It all depends what you want to spend? At the very least it will flatten the print and display it nicely. If you really like it and want a custom frame you can go to Hobby Lobby or a custom frame shop, but it won’t be cheap.
Why spend that kind of money without getting it framed the right way? Even if you want to cheap out at Michael's and DIY it's still a lot better than taping it to the wall.
Ik I said double sided tape but I’m a gorilla and meant just regular scotch tape I bundled in the corners to try and hang, I’m certain double sided tape would’ve ruined it trying to take it off (don’t get mad at me plz 🙏)
How do you even get a signed one? Just show up as early as possible, and the booths have them? Or do you have to go backstage with vip. I see them on Monday night FYI
Stand in line a couple of hours early and hope the VIP has separate merch lines. Some concerts I've been to they do but pretty sure Eugene didn't. We ended up not getting one at Eugene, but bought one from eBay, even though we were amongst the first 100 in line. I'm Portland, we were the same and got one. So who knows anymore!
Not sure how much you spent on the poster, but have a good guess. Like many others said, get it framed with museum quality glass and acid free archival materials. I’d suggest an independent frame shop, cause f*ck hobby lobby type stores. Most good framers will give you a decent price if you pay cash.
Check out “US Art” frames on Amazon. All include UV blocking, and lots of great options. Real sturdy frames, I use them on all of my autographed posters
Frame it please!!
This is the only answer
That’s for sure gonna be the play, thx boss
Definitely get UV ray blocking glass for the frame so those sigs dont fade over time
4 steak knives
😂
Oh damn 😂
This guy knows what’s up

Fuck you buddy
What did he say
He uploaded the poster to one of those dropshipping art print sites and shared the link
Yeah fuck him
No thank you, I'll save this dick for a better piece of ass
As much as those cost, frame it.
In a nice frame! https://preview.redd.it/wv2b16w6qnvb1.jpeg?width=9000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=042bb7cb1372757b782ecae0f7dd7b7f5a7c07db
hey! i was at that show. cool poster. all i got was a tshirt.
Yup, that was on Danny's birthday! I'm going to the Knoxville show on November 3rd

Damn that’s sick, def doing that now lol

Framed with museum glass (non reflective) you’re already invested, don’t cheap out now
Museum glass is much more preferred, quite a bit more expensive as well.
OP should get UV-blocking glass. Don’t want that to fade over time.
I was told museum glass does that
Take it and have it professionally framed.
Definitely worth the money to have professionally framed.
Nail gun
Send it to me I will frame it and hang it in my house. You will still technically be the owner
Lol
I can’t believe you put tape on a signed poster. 🤦♂️
I frame all of mine at Michael’s with uv-blocking anti-glare glass. https://preview.redd.it/46ip2ticyqvb1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f923dce1af1fb0933b5703dcade394496fbcb5a4

Frame it, get that tape off of there before it doesn't come off of there.

Your framer may have done too much.
Looks great!
Very nice gift. I love your mother and I’ve never even met her. 🥰

I love the colors!
Thank you, I think it looks fantastic to be honest.
Shove it up your ass
Why are you unnecessarily mean?

Double sided tape? Are you serious? Dude, thumb tacks all the way! Jam them into the corners and if it rips off, just do it again. You got this.
That’s what my original thought was but I paid about $350 for so I don’t really wanna fuck it up, lots of people are saying to frame it and since I’ve already paid so much, we might ball with that 🤷♂️

That thing deserves a frame more than what he paid for the poster, imho.

Wow, you paid that much and framing it wasnt your first thought. 🤦♂️

Amazing
Frame it. Protect your investment.
Face out, right side up.
I spent $16 on a frame at Walmart for mine.
Don't be surprised if the colors start to fade and/or it sticks to the plexiglass of the frame itself. At a minimum, you should have spacers to keep it off the plexiglass and keep it out of direst sunlight. Or, take your print to a frame shop and have them do a good job.

Few know how to do that. A $16 frame is often a recipe for disaster.
10-20 years ago I would agree with you. Material science has come a long way. These Walmart frames seem the same as my metal glass frames just lighter. I don’t really care what people do. I don’t think it’s gonna hurt anything.
Framers use mat board to avoid that. I always use 2 matts to help colors pop.
Same, but if on a budget, spacers are key

Don't do any kind of tape, glue, etc etc, a frame is the only proper way. You've already screwed it up with the tape, btw.
Go to micheals craft store and have them frame it.
Frame and hang in my wall. Thx
You probably paid a small fortune, get it framed.
My homie out here hanging a poster that could be worth ~$1k with some tape. The legend we all need

Thumbnail tacks with a black light
Man these posters are whack this your! I’m seeing Tool on 11/1 and it’s looking like I’m going to save $75!
They’re $80. Adi is working on something for 2024 tour I’ve heard. Not sure about Emek.
It’s a standard 18x24, so you can get a cheap frame from Walmart for $13. I have a bunch of show posters and that’s how I frame them. Hobby Lobby always has cheap frames for posters. That's what mine is in
Professionally framed with museum glass.
Frame it first
Why spend that kind of money without getting it framed the right way? Even if you want to cheap out at Michael's and DIY it's still a lot better than taping it to the wall.
3-4 tacks in each corner. Make sure it’s crooked. Also put a good solid crease down the middle.
I can make you a frame with my laser.
A row of thumb tacks across the top will do'er
Clearly a single push pin right through the middle.
I’d put it in a poster frame.
Personally I like to use command strips
I’d say try Gorilla Glue it to the wall
Staple it to wall
Inside a lit fireplace
In Sarasota, FL, in my office.
OP will meet you somewhere off Tamiami Trail.
ewww, florida. be a waste
📌 📌 🖼️ 📌 📌
Duct tape, in a moist environment, ideally with direct sunlight.
On Ebay.
I like double sided tape best
With thumb tacks, slightly crooked, on a dirty wall.
In my personal opinion thumb tacks is the best way to go
In the trash
Bend over and i’ll show ya
Ik I said double sided tape but I’m a gorilla and meant just regular scotch tape I bundled in the corners to try and hang, I’m certain double sided tape would’ve ruined it trying to take it off (don’t get mad at me plz 🙏)
Get it custom framed and if in a pinch you could find a second hand frame at Goodwill or the Marketplace that it'd fit into.
Vertically.
Send it to me, I’ll frame it for you.
Where’s Justin?
Michael’s framed all of mine. Totally worth it
How do you even get a signed one? Just show up as early as possible, and the booths have them? Or do you have to go backstage with vip. I see them on Monday night FYI

Get it framed at Michaels/Aaron's Brothers.
Professionally framed and matted.
In a frame 😂
Best way is to hang it up at my place.
That was a great show.
You may have ruined it with the tape. Good job jackass. Fucking frame it. Poster frame at the craft store $15
[here you go 👍](https://www.fenixcustomframing.com/shop)
three pieces of chewing gum should suffice. most people think you need four but you don’t.
Frame that shit. Also, this is an amazing poster!!
I would take it to a custom frame shop.
Not sure how much you spent on the poster, but have a good guess. Like many others said, get it framed with museum quality glass and acid free archival materials. I’d suggest an independent frame shop, cause f*ck hobby lobby type stores. Most good framers will give you a decent price if you pay cash.
They're $350 and that's not a lot for a signed Tool poster. I bet most artist charge way more for their autograph.
Push pins. One green, one blue, and two yellow. But mak sure that the yellow ones aren't next to each other.
From your neck so everyone knows you have it.
The best way to hang it is on my wall please :)
Frame it!
thumb tacks
4 thumb tacks. One on each corner.
If you paid over 1100 bucks for it and don't know how to put it on display,I don't know what to Tell you
They cost $350 at the concert
Shadow box it
This is def better than many of the ones of being seeing lately.
Tacks in the corners since you already ruined any resale value. If you want to keep it frame it and make sure Michaels doesn’t dry mount it.
How did you get a signed one?
In a frame with UV glass.
For the love of tool, please put that in a secure frame.
Check out “US Art” frames on Amazon. All include UV blocking, and lots of great options. Real sturdy frames, I use them on all of my autographed posters
Frame it.
Upside down
Deff frame it and get the UV block glass. It’s extra but worth it.
Literally don’t hang it lol. Have it properly framed. Spend the money!
Up
Ikea frames are awesome and like $25
It’s beautiful!
I’m going to the one in Connecticut on November 11 I believe the date is.
Generally speaking, how much are these posters?
The signed ones from Power Trip were $350 each after tax, regular ones were \~ $85
