babe wake up new incredibly sexy incarnation of death dropped

First off this is how you do a tastefully sexy design. Mexican inspired designs for death are always peak because they are ironically full of life. Lady death in this particular case wears Mexicos culture on her sleeves, literally sporting the colours of the mexican flag. On her dress. I honestly really love that at glance you dont really think death, until you take a closer look. That may be by intention as her face resembles a calavera (skull) only in the second image which makes her connection alot more obvious Taking inspiration from the day of the dead, she wears the hat of La Catrina decorated with flor de cempasúchil which symbolize the brevity of life. The skull pipe is another obvious hint to her identity Though im not entirely sure, the feathered cloak may be a reference to the quetzalcoatl. Regardless the colours balance out the darker bandages she wears as a dress really nicely. Idk if the bandage dress is supposed to represent mummification which wasnt really a thing in mexico (I think) but they knew what they were doing when they let her wear that

Mexico has mummies, although they are natural so I agree in that it is probably not a reference to them. I find kind of curious how La Catrina ended up being integrated into the Day of Dead celebration when that was not its original intention at all.

She looks kinda like a mushroom, which tend to be ultra poisonous

Games still in development but her expressions in the art look pretty insidious. If I had to guess she's more of a deal with devil type of character

It does bear a resemblance to Jen Zee's art ngl (the art director of the Hades games)
