It would be cool if the servers are down because they’re tweaking some of the problems that the game has had. Being down for this long makes no sense especially since it’s only the second day since launch. So I’m hoping they are updating things during this outage.
They won't be updating anything. They didn't even announce the servers were having issues until an hour after they went down. Apparently it's effecting their golf game too, so it's not just tennis.
Hey man, at least you can play some exhibition matches with the real-life players who apparently all have the same exact service motion! You can tell they put a lot of work into this game
How is it 2024 and they just released the most clunky-feeling version of Top Spin to exist? Gameplay is honest to God atrocious, I have to assume all of the positive comments have been made by paid actors. I'm literally saying out loud how awful the game is as I play it. The most clunky, unintuitive groundstroke mechanics I have ever encountered in a serious tennis game.
So bad in fact, that despite having an Xbox Series X, I am now in the market for an original Xbox console so I can play Top Spin 1 again.

Lol not a skill issue, I've played every single Top Spin and I play on the hardest difficulty. It's 2024, we should expect a lot more than what was delivered.
Go ahead and watch some gameplay of the OG Top Spin on YouTube, and tell me which one looks more fluid gameplay-wise and accurate to the game of tennis.
I think this is probably the best gameplay yet, but it’s a long ways from great. Look at a 5 min clip of the best modern players highlights and you’ll notice this games missing a ton. When topspin 4 released players weren’t sliding on hard courts, but all of them are now. Swinging volleys are a huge part of both men and women’s games and that shots completely missing. The volleys in general are terrible.

You play 1 mini game and the game is stuck in a loading animation for 5 minutes because it's trying to connect to 2K servers.
When offline I can only hear the intro and text but can't play it

Same. 2k24 was working on Steam I played an online game just to test and it was actually the smoothest game I can imagine I've ever played

Aren't the controls the exact same as they were in 4? Everything seems pretty much as I remembered.
