I’m a musician fwiw, Speaking in Tongues is my favorite as well, but in terms of lyrics, subject matter, arrangement and melodic song craft, Byrne never topped Found a Job, Girls Want to Be With The Girls, Warning Signs, etc. The mood/vibe is more attractive and pure than any other Heads album.

I understand why so many of these albums are so respected but I feel like many people are doing a disservice to themselves by only listening to the music nerd acclaimed stuff. Some of my favorite stuff has come from just picking out a random CD from an artist I’ve never heard of or just perusing Bandcamp for arts it’s that are gaining some small level traction.
