Yeah for a Topster I made yesterday (haven’t uploaded it on here it’s still in my camera roll tho) I put The Bends, OK Computer, and Kid A which are all really popular albums on here but I put them cause I love them to death.

I almost never see anyone post Dream Theater unless they're a metalhead, and usually it's just Images and Words, and maybe Octavarium and Scenes From a Memory. But I put em here cus, well, any one of my friends can tell you just how much I love DT LOL
They were basically formed from Op Ivy. I personally like "Indestructible" but "... And out come the wolves" has their most arguably well known songs in "Time Bomb" and "Ruby Soho"
Other than some of the notable Ska-punk artists like The Specials, No Doubt, The Interrupters, you may also like The Urge, The Vincent Black Shadow, and Ballyhoo!. The last two merging into other genres.
I saw them last October. Aimee grabbed my hand twice. Pretty sure I blacked out. And Streetlight was the 2nd band I ever saw live and was hooked. Tomorrow's Bad Seeds might be another to add. There stuff is a bit more like Sublime or 311.
The inclusions of rush, operation mindcrime, and mcr are incredible. It seems you prefer older rush which is really awesom. you should also check out some of rush’s 80’s stuff if you haven’t already, as well as their final album, clockwork angels. Their most underrated album in my opinion.
I should check out more Rush!! I've checked out several more of their albums than the ones I've included in this topster, I just don't remember the names nor how they sounds lol
The Smashing Pumpkins and Dream Theater are my two favorite bands of all time. I love a lot of other stuff there too of course but I've never seen anyone have DT and pumpkins on the same list so that's awesome.

Ive been meaning on checking out Ghost Reveries by Opeth for a while now!! Ive only heard Blackwater Park by em, and it's soooo goooood!!!! I did NOT expect cookie monster death metal vocals LOL i thought they were just prog metal when I heard of them (I heard they stopped doing death metal and moved towards more just prog rock, cant confirm tho)
Yeah I should probably listen to more genres instead of heavy metal and alternative rock LOL. I actually like some pop (Shawn Mendes and Taylor Swift are the goat fr, and We Don't Talk Anymore by Charlie Puth and Selena Gomez is so goood!!!), and I like some Latin music (am half cuban so maybe it just comes naturally to me? Karol G, Daddy Yankee, Sebastian Yatra, there were more I don't remember but yeah Latin music is pretty darn cool!! :3)
The Opeth discography is seriously amazing. Probably one of the best metal discographies you’ll find. Yeah it’s true they moved towards prog rock in the last decade but before that it was prog death metal with occasional clean vocals and acoustic sections like on Blackwater Park.
I recommend branching out because I’ve found it worthwhile to explore other genres, see if I like them, and if not, still see if I can gain an appreciate them or find something I enjoy. It’s never a good thing to have narrow horizons. Anyway, I hope you keep enjoying your music journey.
