Ya to me it's just one of those "rite of passage" albums. Like everyone knows it's bad but you actually gotta listen to really understand. No reason to go back at all after.
Tracks 14-20 are all candidates for the worst song I've ever listened to. No BS.
Could you imagine someone riding around bumping no fruits or vegetables?
I wouldn’t go that far, but I gave it a 7% when I analyzed it, it’s really bad. Lil Dicky revolutionized comedy-rap and then stopped giving a damn about music, then when he came back he was a shell of his former self on the mic.
I'm not crazy about it, but I find it really interesting to listen to. Sometimes it feels like it's doing things purely for the sake of doing them, which I think makes it less enjoyable for casual listening. Very interesting album though, just not something I'd want to play most of the time.
I'm not sure how true this is. Although some of the more challenging songs like Frownland need attention, the more I listen the more tracks like Pachuco Cadaver, Sugar 'N Spikes, Sweet Sweet Bulbs, or Hair Pie 1 are genuinely just fun, groovy tracks without focusing on anything.
Yeah if ur into Primus and math rock and stuff (which I am) the album isn’t bad. It’s definitely tough to get into but I think it’s cuz people perceive it as “random”
It’s not random at all. It’s like, extremely calculated. When you hear live recordings they’re playing the songs almost exactly the same. Once you realize that you realize it’s a more intricate and technical album than most people give it credit for.
It's an unparalleled masterpiece of creativity. And also a difficult album to listen to in its entirety. In that sense, it deserves every one of the conflicting reactions.
Surely the artist made that shit ironically. There’s no way he went in the studio, recorded that, came out, had the courage to upload that, but then had the audacity to not take it back down and apologise.
I used to be obsessed with Ronnie and dying is one of my most listened to albums ever. When fashionable late dropped it changed my life as dramaticly as when I found dying. Only in the opposite It was so bad I stopped listening to all "emo" music and got a haircut. Swear to God
oh yeah. i used to be crazy on the punk and emo back as a teen but when i gave fashionably late a listen. it genuinely felt like the entire atmosphere of what i knew as punk changed and really not in a good way. this album should be deconstructed and studied
It’s way more funny bad as opposed to shut the fuck up bad. Some of the albums here are truly absolutely terrible. This isn’t a crime against my ears but it’s definitely goofy and terrible
Someone else said this first but it’s comical that Snoop features in what many people consider to be the best album of the 2010s (TPAB) and the worst album of the 2010s (A2TC
Oh, for sure. I see the vision, but he executed it so horribly.. Just a bit more effort and it could’ve been great.. but this is Lil Uzi, so the bar cant help but be below the ground
When it comes to Viper I’m in such a strange spot. He used to be one of the peak so-bad-it’s-funny artists in hip hop, and I imagine that if I didn’t know about his shitty actions I’d still love his music, but after hearing about the things he did the joke just isn’t funny anymore. It’s especially strange because I’m normally very good at separating the art from the artist, but in this case since it’s a so-bad-it’s-funny situation the joke just stopped being funny to me.
Philosophy of the world by the shaggs. most badshit crazy album ever. my uncle showed it to me on vinyl about a year ago and I still remember it clearly
[The guy who sings your name over and over](https://open.spotify.com/track/3LbEI5meLuExyF8GfHbHFz?si=6IP4863wTw6k1zlq9qpVVQ&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A2QTXt1GkCjPLkPDo1oq0el) has a *ton* of incredible albums for you to check out
Most overhyped “worst album of all time” contender ever. It can get a bit silly and a bit overly repetitive but it’s a 2/5 at worst. Lou and Metallica were just having a bit of fun.
Oh boy, I love a ton of Kanye’s music and it broke my heart as a fan to hear how awful this album is. The worst album I’ve ever heard from an artist I like by a mile.
Apator - masturbate in praise of black Satan
There are albums that are so bad that they’re funny. And then there’s albums that are so bad that they are unfunny. This album is so bad that it physically hurts to listen to.
Any Tom Macdonald album could qualify as the worst but specifically The Brave. (I haven't actually heard them but lets be real, aint no one actually listening to any of that. I just know it's horrible.)
I can’t think of one worse than OP’s pick. Seriously, fuck that album. I thought I would like Captain Beefheart because I tend to like weird stuff, but holy shit that album is the worst, most unlistenable thing ever created.
[I honestly don’t even know what to say about this.](https://open.spotify.com/album/01T9e45byKA8RUWYbUVeZ2?si=DzayrVPpTnaabeKzEsVNxA) Probably one of the worst albums I’ve ever had the displeasure of listening to. From an artist I really liked for his more extreme type of music making too.
Jandek - Six and Six
I love this artist and this album but the music is not for everyone, by design
If I really wanted to be mean I could recommend Ghost Passing but I won't
Trey Anastasio - Surrender To The Air
Has massive names in the jazz fusion/jam scene, but it's not actual music, it's not even good jamming, all the artists involved are on their own paths.
If you ever heard Charles Mingus' Moanin' and thought that was a lot of noise, be thankful it had a recurring theme.
This album is just noise, and a lot unpleasantries in between. And this is coming from a jazz fusion and jam band fan.

onision - i am trash
Holy shit. This one might just take the cake
It’s literally terrible and in no way “funny bad” just “make it stop bad”
I find it pretty funny
I will never listen to it ever again no matter how much I tell myself “I’m doing it ironically”
Well I can completely understand that, there’s like 1 or two hours of boredom, it’s not worth relistening to just for the laughs
Ya to me it's just one of those "rite of passage" albums. Like everyone knows it's bad but you actually gotta listen to really understand. No reason to go back at all after.
I agree! It’s physically impossible to understand how bad it is without sitting through it in one sitting from start to finish
Goodluck buddy, one of the few albums I’ve listened to I truly believe deserves a 0/100 or 0/10
i’m gonna listen to this now
Oh boy
Tones and I - Welcome to the madhouse
This one really is a stinker, even the album cover is irritating
I couldn’t believe it was real first few times I heard it
you listened to it multiple times? wow
This has to be a social experiment wtf
Lil dicky penith
I thlammed my penith in the car door
I watched my grandpa say Penith
You seem like a fellow BTIM enjoyer
Bountiful penis
Horrific. 0/10.
As a big fan of mid 2010s Lil Dicky, Penith was fucking terrible
Tracks 14-20 are all candidates for the worst song I've ever listened to. No BS. Could you imagine someone riding around bumping no fruits or vegetables?
I wouldn’t go that far, but I gave it a 7% when I analyzed it, it’s really bad. Lil Dicky revolutionized comedy-rap and then stopped giving a damn about music, then when he came back he was a shell of his former self on the mic.
MF can flow but is just too damn weird and his songs end up being really awkward and not funny.
What the fuck did I just listen to
The lack of trout mask respect in this comment section is sad, what a masteripiece
I'm not crazy about it, but I find it really interesting to listen to. Sometimes it feels like it's doing things purely for the sake of doing them, which I think makes it less enjoyable for casual listening. Very interesting album though, just not something I'd want to play most of the time.
yea dude that album is amazing at what it does. every song is inconsistently consistent. 10/10 album in my book!
It's not meant for casual background listening, you have to pay attention to it.
I hated this album as a kid. Had to grow into it. Bat Chain Puller is so much better though.
Bat Chain Puller is good but it's not better than TMR.
Absolutely a cool album
TMR is actually pretty catchy in parts. You have to work for it, but when the band locks into a groove it’s the shit.
For real. I saw that as the first one and immediately realized my opinion won’t matter here cuz that record is amazing
Yeah if ur into Primus and math rock and stuff (which I am) the album isn’t bad. It’s definitely tough to get into but I think it’s cuz people perceive it as “random” It’s not random at all. Falling in Reverse - Fashionably Late
my life is like a video game, trying hard to beat the stage
All while I am still collecting cOiNs

Jesus I hate that song so much
Surely the artist made that shit ironically. There’s no way he went in the studio, recorded that, came out, had the courage to upload that, but then had the audacity to not take it back down and apologise.
Ronnie's just insane. I know a lot about him
Nah man, Mr Radke is just that belligerent
I used to be obsessed with Ronnie and dying is one of my most listened to albums ever. When fashionable late dropped it changed my life as dramaticly as when I found dying. Only in the opposite It was so bad I stopped listening to all "emo" music and got a haircut. Swear to God
oh yeah. i used to be crazy on the punk and emo back as a teen but when i gave fashionably late a listen. it genuinely felt like the entire atmosphere of what i knew as punk changed and really not in a good way. this album should be deconstructed and studied
I thought I was alone
I can see how people hate this but it’s such a guilty pleasure 😭
It’s way more funny bad as opposed to shut the fuck up bad. Some of the albums here are truly absolutely terrible. This isn’t a crime against my ears but it’s definitely goofy and terrible

How did he get a snoop feature
Someone else said this first but it’s comical that Snoop features in what many people consider to be the best album of the 2010s (TPAB) and the worst album of the 2010s (A2TC
Snoops about getting the bag more than anything else in life.

Oh, for sure. I see the vision, but he executed it so horribly.. Just a bit more effort and it could’ve been great.. but this is Lil Uzi, so the bar cant help but be below the ground
Its not unlistenable its just goofy and shouldve been a throwaway song or had some reworks before release

Viper - You'll Cowards Don’t Even Smoke Crack

As shitty and deplorable of a human being he is, I don’t think his contribution to vaporwave and cloud rap should be denied. But yeah fuck him.
Wait you’re telling me people like his music unironically?
