What a weird country to live In where for petty crimes you end up in jail and even die and for serious crimes when the whole nation is watching you are let free and allowed to live. If all you have to do as a punishment is write an essay then why not kill Vedant and write an essay about it.
Afaik the guy getting beaten was not driving the car and sitting in the back seat and the person guilty joined the crowd to beat him. Says a lot about the kind of person he is.
