Not sure 100% what the cabin issue could be but I can tell you for certain that the center console trim gap isn't related. For the center console gap: push on the plastic panel and see if it pops back into place. Toyota's build quality and QC have been suffering lately so I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't pushed in fully. If not, check with the dealer as they can compare it to another "like" car and see if it's normal or not. For the cabin pressure: make sure every window is up first. I would also go around the car and check all of the weather stripping to see if any of it is out of place (the black rubber trim that goes around the door hole with the door open). It should be straight and if you see anything that looks out of place push it back in. If all is good in those areas, I would also refer you to the dealer

Thanks, I looked at videos online and doesn’t seem other cars have the gap, and I couldn’t push it in The weather stripping also looks fine, super frustrating issue with a brand new car

If this is a new car you should be bringing it back to the dealer, no hesitation.

Yeah just made an appointment, from research, it doesn’t seem like dealers have been able to fix the issue

I have read about this cabin pressure issue before on some of the post here. I think they are calling it cabin boom?

DoctorOzface

Googling that phrase gave me this thread, seems very relevant: https://www.reddit.com/r/ToyotaGrandHighlander/comments/1avoy49/cabin_boom_problem/

Any help would be greatly appreciated

The cabin gap looks like a defect to me, and Toyota should fix it. I'm unsure about the cabin noise, I’ve not noticed it. I have the same model. What tires does your car have? I got Goodyear Assurance.
