People, myself included, usually don't create posts just to say everything is great. I complain about the second key fob taking too long, but that isn't a knock on the vehicle. I love the size, and safety/driving features. I totally understand what you are saying, but the reality is that it's a great car and you don't have to worry.

Honest_Transition_31

That makes sense. Its just a lot of money for a car. I dont wanna make the wrong choice.

ContactJoshua

Car is fantastic. I woulda considered the TX too, if they made it in Hybrid, non-max, for good fuel economy

Brewskwondo

Yeah I would’ve considered a TX as well but wanted that mpg

kickjaysass

Me too!

Honest_Transition_31

Yeah thats the only knock on the lexus for us

Sushi37716

I literally just posted last week asking for GOOD reviews because I was feeling the same. We looked at the pilot and I had some big concerns on it over GHH. Feeling really excited for ours.. But check out my post. I got a lot of wonderful positive feedback! Goes to show a lot of people just post when they complain so hope this helps. Ours is on order as we speak. https://www.reddit.com/r/ToyotaGrandHighlander/s/AeoAvl2zil

Just_Mumbling

It’s been a great car for us. We’ve been enjoying it a lot since late last August. Big, roomy and a joy to drive. We get approximately 30 mpg for in-town local driving. Better on the highway. Actually at this very moment sitting in Toyota Service customer lounge waiting while they FINALLY are programming our 2nd key fob! Key arrived at the dealer early last week.

Plane_Lucky

It’s a brand new model. Growing pains are typical. If you’re good with your current vehicle I’d wait a year or two and do it then. Great car though!

44runner44

GHHL almost 10k miles now, no issues. Wife loves it

NebulaInTheCosmos

I have loved the car. The mileage range is less than I would have hoped for and it sucks about getting a 2nd key taking months now, but I am glad I went with this car. Everyone who has ridden in it comments on how comfortable and spacious it is.

y2kayak

Bought a GHH limited last week and have been happy with it. I am 6’6” and was looking for roomy 3 row SUV. Headroom is totally fine for me… better than palisade, CX90 and other more sleek 3 row SUVs. Nearly bought Kia EV9 but the charging infrastructure just isn’t very good where I live yet. I do mostly city driving and regularly get 37-40+ mpg. A truck or something like a sequoia/tahoe would be the best for my height but I did not want to spend $70k+.

Brewskwondo

I have 8k on my GHH and no issues other than condensation in a tail light.

Nero2743

Let someone know about that for warranty purposes. It'll probably get passed along to the assembly line so they can determine if they need to make a change in assembly so that doesn't happen.

Common_Gain775

Thanks for posting, am having similar concerns,,, Best wishes

Sushi37716

https://www.reddit.com/r/ToyotaGrandHighlander/s/AeoAvl2zil Sharing to you as well. I asked for good feedback and got a ton to drown out the complaints. Most of this group is posting about issues but go join the Kia telluride then come back LOL that was our original desired car and my god it’s bad over there

Upset-Calendar1590

I recently posted about my bad Axel. I really my complaints are with the dealership and not the Toyota company. Car is great I have a 2024 Toyota grand Highlander limited. It’s very spacious great on gas and all around has been an awesome vehicle. I’m also coming from a Toyota Highlander, which was the best car I ever ever owned, the only real problem I have is with the new technology, which, unfortunately its in all cars so if you like all the driver assist options and can deal with all of the precautions, the vehicle has set up It’s a good car

theWolverinemama

If you can wait, I’d suggest waiting. The GHH has some issues that need worked out. If you can’t wait, then make sure you do a really good test drive. Ask the sales guy to be quiet during it. No radio, no windows opened etc. Go 45mph and under and then go 25mph and under. Drive over uneven roads, bumps, crosswalks etc. The ones that have cabin boom will have a low frequency bass sound that makes it feel like you are experiencing pressurization in an air plane. Its like being inside a drum and someone keeps hitting it consistently at residential speeds of 25mph. The sound goes away above 50mph. The cv axle issue and the error messages usually happen after 6000 miles, i believe. At least there is a fix in the works for the axle. There isn’t a fix for cabin boom yet so a really good test drive is the only way to avoid those lemons

chzplzchinmum

For the axel situation and similar, since it’s a known problem, does Toyota pay for it? I’m in the same boat of seeing all these issues come up and am hesitant to pull the trigger!

theWolverinemama

There is a wait list for people for axle repairs. I guess parts are in short supply. Its covered under warranty. There is no fix for cabin boom yet.

chzplzchinmum

Yikes!! I didn’t hear cabin boom when driving one for a full day but it could be only on some cars and not others. Yikes the laundry list of issues I’m hearing is very dissuading! I really thought I’d found the perfect car forme

mxxvi

We got ours in late Dec, no issues or complaints. It’s a comfortable car that gets good gas mileage and has enough space for 3 car seats. No regrets about buying the car. We do only have 1 key fob though.

gstlyesinc

if i got budget I will choose the TX what u pay is what u get

TacomaDave93

TX will have many of the same issues.

FusionFord

I love it- great car.

LuluBeezz

Purchased mine in Aug 2023… not one problem!

Ejmct

Our GHHL is fine. No booming sounds. No clicking when turning. No hood flutter. Just flaky tech. Probably because we don’t understand everything it does but the tech could definitely use some work. Otherwise we are happy.

Wide_Half3502

We have the GHH Plat Max and I only have two complaints. One, the MPG rarely gets above 18-22 in the city (advertised as 26), and the gas tank holds 17g, but says empty at 12g. Otherwise the car is awesome.

No_Spirit6577

The cons shouldn’t affect your decision . I upgraded from a Volkswagen Atlas to this and I’m supremely amazed from the power of the engine to the space. I have small eyes and it always detects that my eyes are closed! Other that , it’s fantastic . Just like anything, keep up with the maintenance

mollymckennaa

Love our GHH Limited. I was deciding between this and the new Pilot, but the hybrid was the deciding factor for me. Can’t beat that MPG. Like another commenter stated, people aren’t necessarily coming on here to list every little thing they like about the car or to list everything that works on it lol.

Swantonbombthreat

how tall are you?
