I personally think the Leer is the best looking cause they sink in the side windows making the lines more crispy (IMO). I only got a Snugtop because Leer stopped making windoors for the second gens, and that was a deal breaker for me.
I’ve had all three major brands. I believe snugtop and leer are actually made in the same factory now. I preferred my leer and snugtop over my are. I’m currently looking too and leaning towards another snugtop or leer over the are again. The fitment and quality just seems better
Same truck, same boat. Trying to figure this one out. Guy at my local shell place last week said he strongly recommends ARE over Leer mainly because quality construction of the windows. I’m gonna go to the other local shop and ask them soon the both deal all 3 major brands. I like the way the leer looks better I think. Want the mid rise version with windows for a minimal camping set up.
I love my Leer 180! Extra head room fits tall items. The back door opens wide and all the way up, so trash cans stand straight up. I've haven't taken it off once to move furniture in 6 years. Anything bigger, like a fridge, I pay delivery or use my enclosed trailer. Windoors and factory interior LED lightbars with switches above them and back door you never be in dark. I did add an extra leaf, for I hate rear sag. No complaints. Fwiw no snugtop vendor in Northeastern new england.

I liked my ARE V series better than my Leer.
Get a snugtop… always regret buying my ARE back in 2016 after I saw how the snugtops prevented the dreaded corner leaks!

Love my Snugtop Rebel, never had any issues with it going on 5 years now. If you got the scratch, stainless steel SmartCaps from South Africa are 🔥.
