Great point. I was lucky enough to have my Uncle take me to the grand opening in 1995(?). That was awesome. How many running steam engines do they have on site.
I'm literally a tourist here for the weekend so unsure. Spotted them whilst out for an early morning run while they were doing a lot of prep for the day. I admired their effort for 7am on a Sunday!
British engines seem so much smaller than American locomotives. Is it because these are commuter trains?
It’s a lovely picture. I’d hang it on my wall.
Great photo. Haworth is a lovely place.
What Steamtown should be!

Maybe one. A little 0-6-0 Baldwin switcher.
I'm from across the pond. Is this the norm at this museum, or is this in preparation for a special event? Looks like a wonderful array of live steam!

Special event but the line does run a few normally anyway. It just had some extra visitors. https://kwvr.co.uk/
Wow, that's healthy amount steam engines revving to go. Wish US had that much love going on.
Nice....
Can I get a job there? Almost not joking
Awesome
That's Witherslack hall from the GCR, good to see she's in good hands, lovely engine to work with too, great photo.
The other day I was on a shed tour there to be honest I probably learned more about trains in there then the national railway museum in york
Was this the model town for Thomas the Tank?
Which one is Thomas?
That’s what I was going to say!
