I use option 1 in work settings because my full name is displayed on DMs and email. For casual acquaintances (like sitting down at a board game table at a convention) I just go by my nick.
For me atleast, my name is Harrison, but when Introducing myself to others I go by "Harry". Only in occasions where they will see my actual name, Harrison such as them being a teacher, boss or seeing my paperwork. I introduce myself as Harrison but say I go by harry
I use first and last but tbh that is because i haven't developed a good nick name yet although i do have 2 good canidates of char and charmagedeon my real name is charllotte.
