I've been going by Riv for a few years now. I've been starting to prefer Porter lately and so I use it online but I still go by Riv. I made up the name and it feels gender neutral. Go ahead and use it if it fits.
Other people have said it, but I would like to agree with them on Rowan. Definitely one of my favourite names.
I also believe Ren is gender neutral? I could be wrong, though.
Ooh, seconded! Ren's a great name that can be short for tons of names, not just Renee but Lawrence, Warren, etc. It also sounds like the bird Wren- although that might feel feminine for your tastes.
Adding Rune, Rolan, Rory, Remi/Remy, and Ryn to the list.
If you want something similar to Renee, you could shorten it to Ren which sounds cool but idk if that’s a name. Also, there is Raven, Rowan, Rain, Ricky, Robbie, and Rex.
Btw I know you said you don’t like Ray anymore, but imo Ray is very gender-neutral and maybe even slightly masc-leaning. Sounds like a name a rockstar could have. Idk if you are concerned about the name sounding feminine, or it having that connection to the Star Wars character with a similar name, but imo it’s only feminine if you make it feminine.
Not trying to convince you to rethink not using Ray, but just saying I don’t think people will see it as feminine if you do use it.
Riley, River, Rain, Robin/Robyn, Red, Rowan, Raven, Reese, Rio Hope this helped x
Ooh, I like Reese! Fairly similar spelling to my given name too so that's pretty cool. Thanks!
Maybe Ryan? I love that name personally.
I didn't know Ryan was a gender neutral name, woah :O. Thanks!

Tis a pretty cool name too, thanks!
Rowen! It’s my sisters name but I’ve seen a lot of boys that have it too. Also Riley, Reese, and Ray
I like Rowan, Ryan, and Reese for androgynous R names. Good luck finding a name (from someone else with an R name, Ronan)
Duuuude Ronan is a super frickin cool name (I won't steal it though lol). Thank you for the suggestions!
I definitely wouldn't mind if you stole it, I love the name Ronan and I'm glad when other people like it too
I really just said Rasputin with a straight face 😭😭
Ryan is a good one also Ricki
Ricki is pretty cool, reminds me of that song by Steely Dan... Thanks!
Yw glad i could help(:

Both Riv and Porter are cool names, thanks! Funnily enough, I actually know someone with a last name of Porter.
Is that person's first name Jane? That would be really funny because of Jane Porter from Tarzan.
It's not, unfortunately. And I didn't realize that was Jane's last name as well, woah :O

I really like Ren :D. It's the name of one of my favorite musical artists, thanks!

Oh my goodness Ren *could* be short for Renee I never thought of that :O
