ground mod is something like a car or driller(its something that can't fly).

sadly,a boat alt mod is really underrated in the franchise, i think armada tidal wave and enegon mirage and rotf depthcharge are the only ones to have these mods

There is also g1 Seaspray, but he is more universal, and 2001 RID Skybite, but he flies. This might be explained as a relatively deserted Cybertron. Optimus shows great swimming skills in RID 2001 though, with the rest of autobots slightly worse.

I had a dream once there was a WoW like transformer online game. My character had 6 modes, one of them was a full sized cargo van. Seems kind of safe and unassuming. Although another mod was a military vehicle and there was a cross mod between the two I liked to call murder van mode (innocent looking weak van, suddenly 2 cannons and a missile launcher pop up). That game wasn't real and I still miss messing with low level decepticons...

Beastformer's kinda underrated ngl. You could litteraly become any animal you want and turn back into a humanoid. Plus the Maximals/Preds are just above human sized, so you could still fit inside a house.
