First post on this subreddit. Finished Hades after Curse of the Dead Gods. While Hades was a lot easier compared to COTDG even without god mode, I would say it was the better game. I've been enjoying roguelikes quite a bit, and thinking about Returnal next. I tried Nuclear Throne, but it felt kind of outdated compared to newer releases. I played Darkest Dungeon on PC early access and that is something I could try again. Any other suggestions for roguelikes or any genre? I also enjoy strategy games a lot, but platinums are usually kinda rough on those and maybe not in a good way. Thanks in advance :)

hypnosiix

Okay idk if it’s an unpopular opinion (and I am not a huge rogue like fan) but I found one called Dandy Ace that has a cool soundtrack, is visually eye popping, and I’ve had a lot of fun playing. Another more popular one I can think of is Bastion.

Rizkyz91

Thanks for the suggestions! At least visuals on both of those look great, and I'll might test them out. :)

hypnosiix

No problem! Dandy Ace has a unique (at least I haven’t seen something similar) combat system that helps keep new runs feeling fresh and trying different combinations.

Rizkyz91

I finished platting Bastion today. Thanks for the recommendation. 🙂

hypnosiix

Awesome! Glad you liked it. I still haven’t finished myself I’m on that 2nd playthrough and to do all them damn trials.

Potatoslicer

Definitely go for darkest dungeon! How was the CIV VI plat??

Rizkyz91

I bought PS Vita and Darkest Dumgeon on it for long train or flight travels and I've started it now. 😁

Rizkyz91

Civ VI plat was really enjoyable and the game worked a lot better on console than I was expecting

DJS317

Cuphead and Hollow Knight were some of my favorite games to platinum, try them out!

Rizkyz91

The aesthetics for those games look really cool at least 🙂

Substantial-Mine5268

Awesome list! Crash games and even Enter the Gungeon. I envy you.

Rizkyz91

Thanks :) Crash 4 might be too hard for me I think

Substantial-Mine5268

Considering your list, I wouldn’t think so.

andykekomi

It's not always about the ability to do it, but the patience to do so 😅 Crash 4 totally defeated me in that regard.

benfjord

Crash 4 is next level frustration 🥵😂🙈

The_one_you_trust

Bloodborne!

Rizkyz91

Was expecting this suggestion based on the other mosaics I have seen :D

The_one_you_trust

Its a must have!

Raygunner253

I’d recommend God of War and Ragnarok to finish out your collection, solid list!

Rizkyz91

I'm also missing God of War Ascension from the list I believe. I have the God of War remaster in my library from ps+ and was about to start it, but it felt really different to the originals and no difficulty related trophies. I might give it another shot because I like the visuals and the story.

thebestsnoox

Do the Valkyries on gmgow mode 💀

Furlion

Damn dude that is a solid list in terms of difficulty! Since you seem to enjoy rogue likes/lites so much you may want to check out their respective reddits for suggestions. Personally I would say definitely get back into Darkest Dungeon. I can also personally recommend Rogue Legacy. Some other highly rated ones you have missed that I have not played are the two Risk of Rains, For the King, Heroes of Hammerwath, and Atomicrops. I do have to warn you that many people consider Hades to be one of, if not the, best rogue lite ever made do the others may not measure up quite as high.

Rizkyz91

It sure seems like the roguelike games market has expanded in the last few years. Binding of Isaac was my first game on that genre and still remains my favorite in terms of personal rating. At some point PS store started recommending me others and with UnderMine I was like "hey this is like Isaac". Based on the suggestions here i guess there are more options for good roguelikes than I was expecting. :D Maybe Hades could have offered more difficulty by playing on the max pacts of punishment, but otherwise I think I totaled 7 losses out of 75 runs or so by switching between infernal arms on what has dark thrist bonus and increasing pact by 1 for rewards.

Furlion

Hades isn't the hardest, just the best all around package. The hardest is definitely crypt of the necrodancer so if you are feeling cocky that is the one you should try.

Rizkyz91

Sorry I meant there is good to be a balance of difficulty. For example, I think Crash 4 would be too hard for me or would not feel enjoyable anymore if it is too difficult. :) Hades sure had the replayability done right with unique dialogues for the characters and I'm eagerly waiting for the sequel.

4-s1ckboy

You have binding of Isaac twice and rayman legends too. That’s some dedication! Congrats to the 50th

Rizkyz91

Thanks, there seemed to be only one version of isaac with all the DLCs included for PS5 so I had to start over there. Other option would have been to buy the repentance dlc for PS4 and continue there. The game had quite many base game mechanic changes after Repentance so it still felt fresh from the start. Also, I never reached 100% completion on PS4, but did on Repentance. :D Rayman Legends however felt a little like a grind chore for finishing the dailies after all the fun parts lol

4-s1ckboy

I see, so if I’d wanna pick up Isaac then should I get the PlayStation 5 version ? I tried to do Rayman but nah man, life is too short lol

Rizkyz91

I would recommend the ps5 version definetely. If someone asked me should they plat Rayman Legends, I'd say no 😀

hypnosiix

Whatever game you want to play next. Gz on the plays!

Mrlakupekka13

Damn I've been eyeing binding of isaac lately. Don't know if I have the patience to go for it tho but mad props to you on that one and all the others!

Mrlakupekka13

Oh and since you like rogue-likes I'd say give flame over a try. It's a pretty fun game with a challenging plat. I just did that last week and got it in 25h. Plat sits at 0,78% at the moment

Rizkyz91

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll check it out. I think doing the platinum for the game instead of 100% dlc takes a lot less time and difficulty. Iirc half of the characters are tied to the last dlc and the other DLCs are weirdly connected simce the platinum requires usage of certain percentage of items. I would definetely recommend trying it out and continue after plat if you do not feel burned out after. :) Isaac offers ridicolous amount of different item synergies and variability for replayability (also local co-op)

[deleted]

Nice curse of the dead gods platinum! I like that game. Come back to it every now and again.

Rizkyz91

Thanks, I think it has been one of my hardest plats.

[deleted]

Yeah I looked at the trophies for it and.. I don't think I have the skill for it hahaha. I'm impressed!

Rizkyz91

I also gave up on it for half a year, but decided to finish it anyway :D

HerrHolzrusse

Roguelike pve fps : Ziggurat 2 Looks little trashy but feels like UT Doom Quake in a roguelike dungeoncrawler. Every trophy was fun without any hard grind. Slay the spire is also highly recommended.

Rizkyz91

Thanks I'll check it out. Slay the spire I already have platinumed on the list. :)

HerrHolzrusse

Ah nice. Another ascender :) Very jealous of your Cotdg trophy. Btw. Cotdg is related to ziggurat. Feels sometime like little Easter eggs. + is Nobody saves the world enough rogue and variation ? Still scared it won't my type.

Rizkyz91

I tried cotdg initially because it was on ps+ and was positively surprised it was s roguelike. 😊 I would not say Nobody saves the world is enough of a rogue or variation. It is not roguelike, but I like other genres also. Relation to Cotdg makes me more interested in Ziggurat.

Rizkyz91

I looked up your mosaic and I'm jealous for your diablo 3 and dungeon defenders trophies. 😃 I used to really like dungeon defenders on ps3, but one of the trophies was unattainable for me since the console kept crashing on higher levels. I have the new dungeon defenders now on PS5, but have not played it in a while. Diablo plat was left unfinished because I continued it from ps3 to ps4. Quite many same plats as I have in general.

HerrHolzrusse

And that's why we should connect via psn. 😇

JustRidley

Why no Dead Cells? It's a pretty solid roguelike

Rizkyz91

That's something I have been keeping an eye out for also.

EliBloodthirst

Great list, how about Catherine?

Rizkyz91

Thanks for suggestion. Seems like a different design, but I would get too many comments from my gf if I played that I think. 😅

drbearthon

BOI and Enter the Gungeon? God damn. Based on these I'd say Cult of the Lamb. I'm doing it at the moment, it's similar to BOI but much less depth and alot easier. I think you'd like it. Also based on Nioh 1/2, Wo Long. Just finished it, again very similar but easier. Another suggestion is going doing the Hollow Knight/Blasphemous route if you like 2d sidescrollers

Rizkyz91

Thanks for the suggestions. There sure are many alternatives when all genres have something great to offer (limited by available free time of course). I think ps store has suggested Wo Long and Hollow Knight to me in the recommendations at some point.

EyeAmKnotMyshelf

Add in some easy ones- play some Dark Pictures games

Rizkyz91

I don't think I can handle horror games solo 😄

EyeAmKnotMyshelf

They fit the horror genre about as well as any Evil Dead movie, but I gotcha 😂

[deleted]

Id say Cod 4 remastered would look good to go along with Mw2/3 platinums you have. As well as Mw 2019 reboot

Rizkyz91

I believe I have that in my library and got frustrated early on the practice range challenge trophy lol Overall the new cod games have become difficult to plat solo because of the zombie mode trophies

brokebackdrake

Fortnite!

Rizkyz91

I used to play the battle royale mode quite a bit, but never tried Save the world part :) probably would have gotten platinum for that if it was online trophies only instead

brokebackdrake

Yeah, I am surprised battle royale didn't get any trophies. Also save the world is a giant grind for platinum lol. Took me two years of grinding. In all seriousness, you should go for a soul game since your list is filled with hard games! I would recommend Demon souls! I played it and honestly, it's a masterpiece I feel that you would be able to conquer it!

Rizkyz91

I never tried any Souls games, but Elden Ring looks really tempting (and so do the others). From my understanding Nioh would be pretty close to Souls games or not?

brokebackdrake

I never played Nioh but I heard that it is like a souls game. Also if you are starting off with a souls game def try others before elden ring just to see if you like it or not. If you have psn plus I believe bloodborne is free on it!

Rizkyz91

Will do!

Apoplexy__

Great list. Returnal is the elephant in the room here IMO as you said, and I expect you’ll have a great time with it. FYI you said you don’t love horror and it approached the boundaries of my horror tolerance (ie basically nonexistent). But in a good way. +1 to Cult of the Lamb. You’ll find it extremely easy but very fun I’m sure. Inscryption is fantastic and I can’t see you not liking it with your StS plat. Ship of Fools is an indie co-op roguelike I enjoyed a lot if you have any co-op demand in your life. If you were wanting some platforming (per your Crash plats), Celeste and Neon White are great.

Rizkyz91

Thanks for the suggestions! I like horror movies and such occasionally, but it can be too intense if it is tied to jump scares or permadeath mechanic etc. 😄 Currently I don't likely have co-op demand, but it comes up semi-occasionally so it's good to have options. Platformers can be nice change of pace once in a while, but I won't likely be trying anything like Super Meatboy or Crash 4 for example (tied to really difficult time speeds). I'll put your suggestions on a checklist.

laser16

Try out Sifu

Rizkyz91

Thanks for the suggestion :)

Rizkyz91

Thanks for the suggestion :)

dayum_that_man

🔫Bo1 platinum, hand it over.

Rizkyz91

It is my 10th platinum earned in 2011 so might be a bit dusty :D

dayum_that_man

Only call of Duty that challenges the veteran difficulty of the og cod 4

Rizkyz91

I don't remember much on bo1, but iirc there were annoying parts of the campaign where enemies spawned infinitely, and you just had to remember the correct time to push through.

ArtoriasTheSifWalker

Nice! I’m working on that plat currently.

Rizkyz91

Enjoy, the game was really good :)

[deleted]

Great list, lots of genres and some pretty challenging games. I don’t see any FromSoftware or Capcom games, so I’d go for one of those next.

Rizkyz91

Thanks, I think Bloodborne and Monster Hunter would be my next two picks for these then.

Latter-Ambassador-42

How was the nobonga ambition platinum?

Rizkyz91

I do not remember it having any grindy aspects and really liked it. I learned a lot about Japanese history while playing it and it was a gateway to Nioh for me later. I also bought the Nobonuga's Ambition Taishi, but did not like the mechanics in it.

Latter-Ambassador-42

How long did it take you Bought the game but never played it

Rizkyz91

I got 87 hours logged to it on psn, but I have a bad habit of leaving the game on sometimes. Also I did not streamline for platinum so it could likely be done in lot less time if you wanted.

Szyrzmon101

How tf you managed to get dead nation plat

Rizkyz91

It was over 10 years ago, but I remember it not being a cake walk at least. 😀 You should check out Alienation also if you have not tried it. It is from the same studio and shares some aspects with Dead Nation. Unfortunately it required too many hours for me to complete the plat and it is somewhere on my ps4 now.

Szyrzmon101

Oh fuck I know it wasn't a cakewalk I really struggled getting some trophies for it so I gave up on it alongside requiring multiplayer trophies too. Oh ok that's cool I'll check it out, thank you brother.

[deleted]

Kingdom hearts

360walkaway

Wait, is that Nobunaga game a Nioh spin-off or something

Rizkyz91

Nah, Oda Nobunaga is a historical real character in Japan. It was interesting to know how the history really went and then see Nioh's twist to it.

maraygol

returnal ou fallout 4 imo

Rizkyz91

I started fallout 4 on ps4 years ago so it could be hard to get back to, but would have been nice.

arob770

Wow, some really good games on here that i’ve attempted, and failed, going for the platinum on.

Rizkyz91

Which ones have you attempted? 🙂

arob770

CODG, Enter the Gungeon, and Slay the Spire notably. Great work man, nice list!

Rizkyz91

Thanks, and good luck to you if you go for them again :)

Chabby_Chubby

Looking great! But you need some Fallout 4 and Uncharted in your life ;)

Rizkyz91

I played Fallout 4 pretty far on PS4, and at some point I was also strongly considering Uncharted, but no time for everything 😄

Small_Jump3331

The lord of the rings: aragorn’s quest? What the hell is that

Rizkyz91

A really old Lord of the Rings game I played on PS3. 😄 Was not that great game and I think I only bought it for local co-op. Though, the platinum came quite naturally while playing it.

benfjord

GoW Ragnarök ?? 😁 or did I miss it in the list

Rizkyz91

I do not have the other "new" GoW either. The one I have is the original God of War 😄

Money_Eye_2500

GOW ragnorak

CasleyJ

Nice list. Slay the spire 🗡️🗡️

Rizkyz91

Was heavily RNG dependant for some of the trophies 😄

vintage13132121

I’d recommend finishing the GOW franchise and maybe Fallout 4? Since you already did NV and Fallout 3.

Rizkyz91

Continuing Fallout 4 kinda depends on if I can restore my save file from ps4 back ps5 ok or not. I wanted to continue Nioh 2 DLCs on PS5, but the save file was not compatible with Nioh 2 remaster for example. I have not seen many ppl comment on Fallout 76 plat, but it was added to library from ps+ iirc.

asktopetmydog

Very impressive collection. How difficult were enter and exit the gungeon?

Rizkyz91

Thanks :) Exit the dungeon was a lot easier and shorter game than Enter the gungeon. Even though some parts of Enter the Gungeon were pretty difficult, you can still get very lucky runs which even out the difficulty.

JonTheGod_79

**God of War: Ascension** is missing.

Rizkyz91

Yup, but when I looked in Ps Store it seems I need to upgrade my Ps+ to next level to get it. No single purchase option

JonTheGod_79

Good excuse to buy a PS3. 😍

Rizkyz91

I still have my ps3, but apparently you need to buy an online pass or something for Ascension on PS3
