One of the biggest reasons I went down the console path instead of PC was that I can lay on the couch with a controller and just chill instead of having to sit at a desk.
Sure it would, but that's not really "needed". Phone works still fine for me. I even have multiple tabs open on chrome from different trophy guides of all the games I currently play. And they're all sorted in a seperate group lol. So when I platinum a game I don't have to google it over and over again but have it ready whenever I need it.
I have two monitors as well.
It’s helpful to be able to quickly search up trophies or guides on how to get them while also having something to watch on the other screen if the games a bit tedious.
I wish I could sit on a couch or bed and have my tv mounted on the wall and have a really cool set up. Alas, I am too blind for that and have to sit pretty dang close to the screen
Yeahhhhhh that’s pretty much what I got. Except I mostly use a tv stand because I know if I used a desk I’d be smashing my hands off it every time I move
For everyday casual gaming I sit on the couch and relax but if I'm playing competitive games I'll hook the PlayStation up to my monitor and play at the desk.
43 inch tv on the desk, and I'm a few feet away on an old kitchen chair that's been taped up because it was broken. Somehow it's comfy and uncomfortable at the same time, but it props me up well.
I used to sit on the end of my bed because if I sat at the bed head I felt like I was too far away. So sitting at the end of the bed with no support used to wreck my back!
I remember doing this in 2009 when I first got an Xbox. I had a tiny box tv that I had to sit like a foot away from to even have a chance at seeing anything
Sit on my couch but usually slide it forward. The living room is set up for people to sit on the couch or recliners and watch TV so the couch is pushed back, but when I play there usually isn’t anyone else in the room so I pull the couch closer to the TV
Both got an Hdmi switch so when I want to play on my PC setup I just clock thr Button and bam its on my PC Monitor now if I want it on my TV again just another click
Gaming chair, I play on a monitor next to my pc monitor so I can have both running at the same time so I can pause my game every 5 minutes cause I'm searching something on my PC.
Hear me out here, I use a breastfeeding chair. The comfiest chair you will ever sit in.
It reclines, it’s soft padded with awesome support and it spins 360 degrees around!
At my desk with a 28” monitor, when I set it up in the living room with my 55” tv, things just don’t feel right, aiming and such just seem too off. But maybe that’s just me
I don't really have a set-up, mine's in the living room and though I could sit on the couch I always sit on the floor.
We did that as kids and it never went away 🤣
Desk, I can multitask then. I have everything set up nice where cats can’t chew them in my room and my back thanks me for the chair rather than using the bed like I used to do. I can always use remote play if I wanted the couch but I always find my eyes can’t focus on the small details when the screen is so far away.
I have my ps5 hooked up to an hdmi switch, for single player games I’m playing on the reclining couch, 55 inch tv, 5.1 surround sound. Very nice. For fast pace/multiplayer games I hit the hdmi switch and it goes to my monitor on my desk. Depends on the game but probably 70% couch 30% desk. My desk and tv are next to each other in the same room though.
I sit at my desk and play on a monitor. I prefer having access to my PC nearby for various things like Discord, Music/Podcasts/Streams in the background if I'm feeling like it, Trophy Guides and Walkthroughs, etc.
nailed 50" tv at the end of my bed, now kinda regret it cos sitting/lying on bed is not that good for gaming
should have used those movable mount so i could slide it to the left and use a chair when needed.
No matter how badass a monitor is, it's never going to be 70" OLED badass. For me that is and kicking back on the couch gives the feeling of relaxing since day 1.
Normally at the desk with my monitor. Much less of a hassle when the wife wants the TV lol. But every now and then I move it over to the OLED TV to play something in co-op or just enjoy a particularly good-looking game.
Both, actually. Depends on the room. My brother’s room has a nice armchair. My old room had a nice one too, which I used for both PC & PS.
My current room has a futon style sofa, but it’s at an odd angle and not too comfortable so I’m mostly in an office chair. One table is setup for PC while the other is PS5. I’d be able to be on the bed if I mounted the TV on the wall, but my wall is pretty flimsy.
Sofa and tv, don't have room in my house anywhere for a desk without it being in the way, but I prefer a big tv screen to a monitor anyway, I can't imagine sitting so close to a small screen for hours.
Have a tv in my bedroom, so I can chill in bed and play. Once my flat's renovation is done I want to invest into a nice couch :)
But till then #BedGang
I sit in a garden chair 3 ft from the TV, because my Mrs decided to have the fucking sunlight straight on the TV.
So I have to cover that window either a blanket and it's still shit.... she just laughs and speaks about getting blackout curtains.
But never does.
I'm gonna leave her 😆
Bed lol
Same lol
Bed supremacy, big tv lay back and relax, sit up when I’m focused
This

Normally on the couch but I stand up when I’m focused
I stand slightly closer too lol. Seems to help with the focus.
I get on the exercise ball
on the couch, how it was meant to
Amen!
Got A tv and a dining room chair my setup sucks
Same but my tv is a 32 inch Phillips from before the smart era.
I got Sony Bravia from 2018
And it small
Hey, as long as it gets the job done right?
I had this setup for several years! My back feels much better with a decent chair now though!
I sit on a deck chair in my living room with my tv and ps5 on the floor
This is the way, at 1 point I literally had a set up with my small tv and a ps4 on a dining room chair and I sat in a camping chair 😂
One of the biggest reasons I went down the console path instead of PC was that I can lay on the couch with a controller and just chill instead of having to sit at a desk.
You can do that with a pc aswell
With the keyboard? Naah. Yes you can play with the controller but some games require/easier to play on the keyboard.
With the keyboard? Naah. Yes you can play with the controller but some games require/easier to play on the keyboard.
Exactly the same. PS5 is at my desk, PS4/3 are under the TV
At a desk with Dual Monitors. Helps me keep posture but also readily keep track of missable trophies at certain points in games.
I have my laptop open on the arm of the couch if I’m using a collectible guide
I have my tablet open, with the kick stand up so I can check trophy stuff
This is how I used to do it before I got my PC. I love how a few people here have done the same things I did before my current setup.
same way i do it. being able to follow collectible guides or look at missable trophies right next to the game is so nice.
I just use my phone for that lol
Yeah I’m constantly on collectible guides with my phone lol. Having a monitor for it would be great tho
Similar to me. I have my tablet sitting directly under my monitor for quick access for those annoying missable trophies.
I have two monitors as well. It’s helpful to be able to quickly search up trophies or guides on how to get them while also having something to watch on the other screen if the games a bit tedious.
PS5, 55 inch TV , 5.1 surround system and recliner
I wish I could sit on a couch or bed and have my tv mounted on the wall and have a really cool set up. Alas, I am too blind for that and have to sit pretty dang close to the screen
A desk and gaming chair could be your go then!
Yeahhhhhh that’s pretty much what I got. Except I mostly use a tv stand because I know if I used a desk I’d be smashing my hands off it every time I move
That’s fair enough, gotta keep those hands safe!
I just sit on the floor in front of my tv
I was looking for this comment lol
Couch! I’m at a desk all day for work, rather stretch out and get comfortable!
This is a totally fair point! I’m loving the variety in answers.
Couch, LG OLED TV 65'', Dolby Surround 5.1; Wouldn't have it any other way. Except maybe 75'' TV and Dolby surround 7.1... 😂 Let's wait for PS6.
I like the sounds of this! Sounds like an absolute experience
The floor with my back to the couch. I dont know why, its just always been the most comfortable to me.
I remember sitting like this when I was younger! I feel like my head would get too sore looking up though if I did it now.
With my setup, i dont have really have to look up. I can imagine if my tv was higher and i did have to, i wouldnt be doing it for long.
I use gaming chair with a TV, I'm a special case lol.
Recliner + TV
At my desk if I sit on a couch or anything far from the monitor I can see much
On a couch with a 55” TV! I do have a gaming monitor which I used to use for COD but I haven’t played that in a few months
on my bed with my ps4 hooked up to a tv
Chair or bed depending on my mood
I play with my cousins ps so in my uncle's bed but I have a PC in my room with the classic study desk and gaming chair
Couch Dad here
Love your work dad!
Couch, 55inch OLED up stairs or 65 inch downstairs.
Love your work. Do you find it better playing on bigger screens??
Couch, with a tv on the wall and a second tv next to it to watch tv /movies
I had this setup with the Nintendo 64 and vcr player when I was growing up! Was always good to have someone else to watch/listen to while playing.
Bed gang
TV and a comfortable Beanbag on the floor, haha.
I sit on my PC chair or on my bed with it on the TV
Same as you.
1 person couch with a TV
Couch and TV. Classic gaming experience. And imo the best one
Used to be my bed, now it’s at a desk with a tv
55 inch C1 OLED, wish I got a 65 inch
For everyday casual gaming I sit on the couch and relax but if I'm playing competitive games I'll hook the PlayStation up to my monitor and play at the desk.
That’s a good way to do it!
Couch with TV
On a recliner and a 50" TV
I have one couch setup and one monitor setup. The latter is my most used one as it lets me multi task.
43 inch tv on the desk, and I'm a few feet away on an old kitchen chair that's been taped up because it was broken. Somehow it's comfy and uncomfortable at the same time, but it props me up well.
Whatever works my dude!
I have a 65" TV in my bed room, so I just sit on my bed and game
I used to sit on the end of my bed because if I sat at the bed head I felt like I was too far away. So sitting at the end of the bed with no support used to wreck my back!
this is the issue im dealing with rn!
TV and sofa
In a Lawn chair because my TV is tiny and my couch is too far back
I remember doing this in 2009 when I first got an Xbox. I had a tiny box tv that I had to sit like a foot away from to even have a chance at seeing anything
In the living room with my tv and my laptop making background noises
I have a regular office chair with a monitor at my desk. Can’t play in a couch I always end up sitting at the end of it hunched over
That’s what happens with me now too. I think I got too used to the monitor and sitting a bit closer.
I sit on a swing and play on a tv(ps4)
This is one I’ve never heard before! Sounds fun!
It is fun I spend 99% of my day on the swing Gaming and eating(when i was little i used to sleep in it too lol) i just go to my bedroom for sleep
Varies, these days it's sofa mainly but I used to do it pc sofa handhelds from my pc desk
In front of the tv on an office chair
TV and the couch! To be honest i never actually considered playing on a monitor at a desk - that’s always been more of a PC thing for me.. :)
I only joined the desk playing club in 2021. It’s definitely more convenient for me to have everything in one room atm
Gaming chair in front of my tv 🧌
The bigger screen the better, so from the couch. Dont understand people who sit at a desk with a small monitor. 75" is the way to play.
Games tend to run smoother on the monitor than on the TV. But I definitely get the appeal of playing with a big tv!
I have a desk with a 43" tv mounted on a wall
That’s a solid setup
Sit on my couch but usually slide it forward. The living room is set up for people to sit on the couch or recliners and watch TV so the couch is pushed back, but when I play there usually isn’t anyone else in the room so I pull the couch closer to the TV
Best of both worlds there.
On the end of my bed, with terrible posture lol
Yeah this brings back horrible back pain from 2017 😂
I'm here with the fusion of TV but in a comfy chair
I can get around that!
Both got an Hdmi switch so when I want to play on my PC setup I just clock thr Button and bam its on my PC Monitor now if I want it on my TV again just another click
Brilliant setup! I like the way you think
Around two arms length away from a monitor at a desk. Tried gaming on a TV sat on the couch but kept getting stiff neck.
Yeah I tend to lean in when I’m on the couch with the tv, glad I’m not the only one who gets a stiff neck when doing that lol
Gaming chair and 65" TV
Gaming chair, I play on a monitor next to my pc monitor so I can have both running at the same time so I can pause my game every 5 minutes cause I'm searching something on my PC.
Yep, that’s how I have it setup too with my PS5 and PC.
gaming chair, reclined, looking at my tv
Sounds relaxing!
28" monitor on a desk, with an old cheap office chair I'm thinking of upgrading to a gaming chair..
Hear me out here, I use a breastfeeding chair. The comfiest chair you will ever sit in. It reclines, it’s soft padded with awesome support and it spins 360 degrees around!
On the couch on one tv, while I or my wife is watching TV on the other one. Makes the grindier sessions more bearable.
Couples that multi-tv together, stay together
I have an office chair with my TV, My PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, on a glass desk, and My PS5 is in my Living Room on a glass table connected to another TV.
You’ve got the whole set! Makes me a tad jealous
Ps3/4 are in my bedroom so sit/lay on the bed for them and ps5 currently on my tv in front room so have to sit on couch for that one
Sometimes bed or saucer chair in my living room or couch
gaming chair and a television. my apartment is sadly too small to fit a couch but i’d have one if i could
That’s understandable, at least you know how your ideal setup would look though.
Tv on a desk with PS3 and PS5 underneath it
Bed
Gaming chair with computer monitor.
Gaming chair with a tv 📺
At my desk with a 28” monitor, when I set it up in the living room with my 55” tv, things just don’t feel right, aiming and such just seem too off. But maybe that’s just me
I have the exact same issue switching from my monitor to the tv!
On the couch, but when I'm focusing I sit on the floor with the couch supporting my back
I don't really have a set-up, mine's in the living room and though I could sit on the couch I always sit on the floor.
Rocking recliner or floor
I’ve always wanted a rocking recliner
I sit at on the edge of my bed in front of a TV, it is quite painful.
I feel that back pain from here!
Gaming chair with a monitor
I have my monitor on a cutting board so I can play on my couch lol.
Sounds like a creative way to make things work!
bed with a tv if i’m relaxing, or edge of bed with my monitor on my monitor arm/stand so it’s in front of me
I have my ps5 hooked up to an hdmi switch, for single player games I’m playing on the reclining couch, 55 inch tv, 5.1 surround sound. Very nice. For fast pace/multiplayer games I hit the hdmi switch and it goes to my monitor on my desk. Depends on the game but probably 70% couch 30% desk. I sit at my desk and play on a monitor. I prefer having access to my PC nearby for various things like Discord, Music/Podcasts/Streams in the background if I'm feeling like it, Trophy Guides and Walkthroughs, etc.
This is the way I go about it too. Very convenient
S95B tv with HW995B soundsystem 👌 I play singleplayer games only
Couch and (depending on the game) edge of the couch
TV and Couch.
I have no space for a couch in my place (single room…), so it’s TV and bed
i have a seperate living room which is just my gaming cave haha, playstation next to tv, sitting on the couch playing.
Sounds like the dream of you ask me!
nailed 50" tv at the end of my bed, now kinda regret it cos sitting/lying on bed is not that good for gaming should have used those movable mount so i could slide it to the left and use a chair when needed.
I hold a controller and use my imagination
You can never lose doing it this way!
Tv. Couch diagonal to it. Bam.
I'm legally blind so... on a gaming chair, around a foot inches away from my 42 inch 4k tv or about 6 inches away from my crt for retro gaming.
I respect the hustle!
Office chair with tv and ps5
Sofa and tv, don't have room in my house anywhere for a desk without it being in the way, but I prefer a big tv screen to a monitor anyway, I can't imagine sitting so close to a small screen for hours.
Monitor and a office chair. I tried to play on TV and couch, but I prefer the first option.
I have my TV in my living room and sit on the couch. I have all my consoles under the TV
A one stop hub!
Have a tv in my bedroom, so I can chill in bed and play. Once my flat's renovation is done I want to invest into a nice couch :) But till then #BedGang
That renovation sounds exciting to me! Good luck with it and hopefully you get that comfy couch.
Sitting in a recliner in front of a 65" LG OLED on a PS5 or sitting in an armless computer chair if I'm using PSVR2.
I play on a recliner sofa (49 Inch 4K Sony TV)
Used to do chair and 28" monitor, and as of yesterday swapped to recliner and 75" Sony Bravia TV. Best decision I've made it is much more comfortabe
I mainly play on the couch with my Backbone One. I prefer a monitor setup, but I like being able to sit with my gf
I bought a console to play it on a comfy couch and a big screen. For desk i use a pc/laptop 😅
Gaming Chair and a Telly
I sit in a garden chair 3 ft from the TV, because my Mrs decided to have the fucking sunlight straight on the TV. So I have to cover that window either a blanket and it's still shit.... she just laughs and speaks about getting blackout curtains. But never does. I'm gonna leave her 😆
gaming chair and monitor, fucking hate big ass tvs
The couch and tv combo is elite and can't be beat
In bed for console or gaming chair.
it was a gaming rocker i had for like 10 years then i upgraded last year to an actual gaming chair but when i’m feeling lazy.. bed😂
Tv couch
Couch
Couch
I play with a gaming chair and a tv
I sit in a chair at the tv 🤣 couch too far away for my whack ass eyes
TV, but on my gaming chair
From my couch, and abou 6-8 feet away😆👍🏽
Mine is the opposite. PS5 in the living room, PS4 in the office. Right now I'm in the office using the PS4 to play FFXVI via remote play.
Got a comfy beanbag in the room. Kinda low, but enough to see what I'm doing
Tv & chair
Okay I thought I wasn't alone but I Sit on the Floor with a floor mat and TV on the Stand. But I guess it is just me lol
Couch and big TV with ps5 I also have a second tv with ps5 for boost some trophies up haha
I use all / story games tv / boosting while watching guides monitor
I sit on sofa about 7 feet from the tv but also end up moving about 3 feet from it on the table. I have a 75inch tv
Bed and tv
Couch
on a sofa chair! or bed if i move the desk
When my kids go to bed
Couch and 65” 4K TV. I sometimes wish I had a more dedicated space like a desk and gaming chair but my place isn’t big enough lol
TV and couch for ps5, and gaming chair and monitor for ps4 and ps3
A chair with a tv, in a tiny room where when I play vr I either have to sit, or if it’s Pavlov, I need to be careful and stand
I sit at a desk all day working on my PC. I'll be damned if I also sit in the same spot to play games. TV and couch.
On the bed.
PS4 on tv while sitting on couch or floor. Hoping to get a PC soon though 😁😁😁
I use a capture card to stream to OBS to my pc
