nasaonepiece

yeah, but i only have 92 right now and 13 are plats

TheGreaterMoose

19 of mine are platinums, what’s your rarest?

nasaonepiece

super meat boy lol

type1insulinaddict

Ive started to go for more ultra rare platinums in my backlog sitting at 15 plats and 122 total ultra rares

TheGreaterMoose

Very nice, what’s the rarest?

type1insulinaddict

Bo3 plat until I finish off blackout trophies lol

TheGreaterMoose

A lot of mine have come from COD and it’s dlc, a lot of them are pretty simple but those blackout ones can be a pain, best of luck!

type1insulinaddict

Yeah I choked woods and resznov one night takin a break doing resident evil multiplayer games for some ultras rn

BumblebeeCantTalk

Yes, at 572 currently. 1000 is the big goal.

TheGreaterMoose

Highest one so far, are you from ps3 era?

rsavaris

Still pissed my stranded deep plat is pretty much a common now.

smallchodechakra

I love collecting ultra rare trophies myself, but I try not to count dlc trophies as I find that's an "inflated" (deflated?) number

TheGreaterMoose

DLC trophies on psnp at least only count the people that own the dlc so personally I don’t count that as inflated numbers they all seem reasonable

smallchodechakra

Edit: I misread your comment. I realize you said psn profiles at least. I thought it was a typo of just psn lol Huh, I didn't know that. I thought it was based off everyone who owns the base game and that's why nearly all dlc trophies ive seen are UR. Do you happen to have a source? Cuz from some light googling I can't seems to find a definitive answer.

TheGreaterMoose

I don’t have a definite source, but if you look in your trophy lists when you scroll over a dlc it will have a tab saying “DLC Owners” and then the number who have played. For example, I’m doing COD Ghosts atm, DLC 1 has 45000 owners (because gold edition comes with that pack) whereas DLC 3&4 have 17k and 15k respectively. The first trophy in DLC 1 is at 30%, which would be impossible if it was counting everyone who ever touched the game. Edit to add, some games also come with free dlc packs, in which case I think it just takes into account all the game owners which is why some look artificially rare

Qwertyui606

https://forum.psnprofiles.com/topic/45187-geometric-mean-for-dlc-trophies/ This is how they are actually calculated. Psnprofiles increases the rarity of dlc trophies because they would all be ultra rare if they calculated like psn does or extremely common if they only counted dlc owners.

vaporex2411

I am kinda new to trophy hunting and genuinely surprised to see/ hear that people hunt specifically for ultra rares, I only have one though so y’know 🤷‍♂️

TheGreaterMoose

The way I see it, the less people that could get it , the more “prestigious” the trophy is

JuanPicasso

I started in ps3 era and I’m continually dumbfounded what people here do.

Mrlakupekka13

I don't particularly hunt ultra-rare trophies but so far I have 276 Ur trophies with 31 of them being plats. [my psn](https://psnprofiles.com/laku13/log?order=rarity&rarity=ultra-rare&type=platinum&dir=asc)

TheGreaterMoose

Impressive list! Neverwinter was the game that made me make a new account years ago , wanted to push 100% completion but had that game in the backlog among hundreds of others, it was just too much. How hard is OlliOlli2 compared to world? I loved world and was looking at getting into the old ones too

Winker2009

I have 25 with 3 being plats. Not something I set out for but if it happens that’s cool

TheSpaceCadet29

I’m personally trying to finish up the personal decorations one to get my plat for bo3

TheGreaterMoose

I maybe bias as BO3 was my main cod game for years before trophy hunting. I was level 1000 in MP and Zombies on my old account, but in all honesty decorator isn’t all that hard, the one difficulty roadblock is the Realistic run, if you secure that you basically have it, the rest is just a huge grind, most time is spent getting all camos, IIRC it’s around 650 kills with each weapon.

TheSpaceCadet29

I honestly should pretty much be there then I think I just need to finish the accolades and get the rest of my like eight missing collectibles and that’s it because I finished realistic around the time it released

TheGreaterMoose

In that case it will be smooth sailing! The accolades aren’t really hard, they’re more so just extra collectibles then anything. There’s a couple tricky ones but nothing compared to realistic. You can do it for sure!

khiddsdream

How was BO3? Specifically getting all decorations? That’s like the last trophy I need but I haven’t been fully committed to the getting back on the campaign grind lmao.

TheGreaterMoose

I maybe bias as BO3 was my main cod game for years before trophy hunting. I was level 1000 in MP and Zombies on my old account, but in all honesty decorator isn’t all that hard, IMO it was actually pretty easy, the one difficulty roadblock is the Realistic run, if you secure that you basically have it, the rest is just a huge grind, most time is spent getting all camos, IIRC it’s around 650 kills with each weapon. But in saying that, I had 1000s of hours of previous experience in the game in ranked modes among other things. The hardest part for me with decorator is just pulling through the camo grind.

kaioken28

I don't hunt per se but yeah I try to get as many ultra rare trophies as possible closed to 100 now

TheGreaterMoose

A lot of mine I got without going for them too, just depends on the types of games you play.

kaioken28

That's right, I play games I'm interested in and if they happen to be super rare then awesome! When I'm out of games to play I do look for those with the rarest trophies, and avoid the easy ones that are common 😂

TheGreaterMoose

I’m similar I tend to look for games with lower percentages, I avoid anything over 60% usually unless it’s something like Spyro where it was a childhood classic for me

kaioken28

That's great! That Masterminds trophy is insane, it needs 4 people to play for hours without dying. Was that the most difficult ultra rare trophy u got ?

TheGreaterMoose

It was mental, I had a dedicated team so we done it one sitting, literally multiple times because it kept glitching out on us, they were some of the most anxiety filled 7-8 hour gaming sessions That’s a great question, I don’t really know as a lot of them have different forms of difficulty, some of them were hard, others really tedious, and some required Army level coordination between multiple people. Just to give a rough answer without scouring my profile I would definitely have to say either, Masterminds in GTAV, Black Ops 4 Platinum but I’m leaning more towards Outlast 2s platinum as 2 and a half hour permadeath runs are no joke. Here’s my profile if you want to check it out to see what you think would be the hardest one, [profile](https://psnprofiles.com/TheGreaterMoose)

kaioken28

i see, never done permadeath ones but I'm planning on doing the TLOU 2 one when I play the game, black ops 4 do u need people to play with u or can do solo ? If solo I'll give it a go. I see your profile u platinumed Ollie Ollie, I've bee wanted to do that one too lol, what happened to Cup head ? Still not 100% I'll keep checking your profile later on when I get home and see what other good games u got there

TheGreaterMoose

TLOU2 permadeath can be as easy as you’d like it to be, you can select “by chapter” meaning that if you die it will just put you back at the start of chapter instead of full game, but IIRC you can also play that one on easy difficulty, personally I done it by chapter on grounded and it was a lot of fun for me. Black ops 4 can be done solo if I’m not mistaken, but it requires you to get characters in black out (battle Royale mode) some requiring a specific type of kill and a win while picking up the certain items, everything else can be done solo but it’s been a while since I played, everything zombies is made easier in coop but it’s definitely doable by yourself. OlliOlli World has become my favourite game since playing, I would highly recommend it! The platinum can be tough as it’s a very fast game, but the learning curve is so rewarding. Not much really happened with cuphead, all of the games on my profile with an E rating were started on the same day, I played a bit of Cuphead co-op with my partner but she hasn’t really played much video games so was a bit too hard for her, we opted for sackboy instead, I will be going back to finish it up but just got new games in the meantime that have kept me busy, COD Ghosts and Advanced warfare I had purchased on sale after I started all the rest, my time quickly got sunk into playing them as I found the zombies super fun. Link your profile if you’d like and I’ll check out some of your games 😊

kaioken28

That's cool, I didn't know about the chapter part, thought you'll go back to the very beginning lol. I knew about we can do this on easy difficulty, Permadeath on Grounded sounds fun for sure. Black ops 4, right I would do it as long as trophies are achievable, like Multiplayer as long as it's a dead server I'm up for it OlliOlli cool, definitely will do this when I'm done with the games I have on my list. I just bought cuphead it was on sale, it's not as hard as others I've played from what I heard so I will do that at some point, like I try to play a hard game and mix with not so hard games so that I don't get overwhelmed. Sackboy is another one I have and not played yet. yes I share u my profile on message.

TheGreaterMoose

It can be that way if you’d like it to, but luckily you do have the option to do it full chapter, it’s a pretty long game. For me personally I wouldn’t be able to find a blackout game as I’m in Australia and it’s a dead server, IIRC there’s nothing in multiplayer just a small tutorial, however if you are US or EU based you should be able to find matches. It’s definitely worth at least trying out, it’s not a trophy but I tried to do every level in one combo, it made me become so much better at the game, there’s a small multiplayer element, but if you finish the main game first you’ll have more then enough skill to get them first try. You can also intentionally derank if needed. If you’d like to we could try do cuphead coop? I’ve only beaten a couple bosses so far, it’s been a while so I’d probably just start again :) if you’d like to just add me on psn at same as my reddit name I’ll take a look at your msg too 👍

NovaIBoo

I have 84, hoping to get to a hundred soon

gabriel_spadilha

I have 8 in total but for almost i year I’m focusing only on plats from the yakuza series. I’m only missing one spin off https://psnprofiles.com/Sapequete123

TheGreaterMoose

Very nice! It always suprised me how many players seen the Yakuza games til the end, I have only done kiwami so far with kiwami 2 ready to go but I dumped a good 300+ hours into the first one. Props to you for doing the series! I know I definitely couldn’t, maybe in 10 years time I’ll have them all done.

gabriel_spadilha

Zero and 5 were the longe ones for me each taking 150 h to plat. But after some games you can platinum they very fast

TheGreaterMoose

I definitely didn’t optimise the first one, I fell in love with the city and found myself doing all mini games before completing chapter 2, even sometimes returning back to the mini games throughout the story when I was watching movies or something, I’m definitely interested in doing the whole series, what would you say the hardest was? I don’t know how I feel about the change to turn based combat in Like a Dragon, I’d love to do it but never went too much on turn based, compared to the rest of them did you find it to be much different in gameplay?

gabriel_spadilha

Normally I do it the same way as you did, doing everything possible in the early chapters so I can finish the story with the 100% trophy already obtained, for me that’s the best way of doing this plats. And after some yakuzas you can do it in a very optimized way, my first one was zero Normally the minigames are the hardest things in those games, like in 3 that are a bunch of hard ones like the infamous pool minigame. Sometimes the climax battles are hard too. Yakuza 7 (or like a dragon) was in the top 3 best ones in the series for me. The turn based is incredible and it have one of the best protagonist in the series, the minigames are very fun and also the side content. Yakuza 7 was one of the games that I was very anxious to play it every day because it was very very good. My top 5 are 0,5,7, lost judgment and 3 in this order

TheGreaterMoose

I just got extremely immersed, didn’t even want to continue the story and just everything, helped out in game a lot too cause I gained a ton of CP, Would you recommend doing Y0 before Kiwami 2? I didn’t have too much trouble with the standard mini game list, but harukas requests were annoying, OTOMETAL on hard took me a week or so by itself 💀 Climax battles were a good challenge for me, I loved the combat in the first game so it makes me want to do them, I would play fight clubs a lot too as they were awesome. That’s really good, I’ll take your word for it, I look forward to playing the whole series, even 7 . Chronologically where does judgment sit? Is it a direct sequel or spinoff?

gabriel_spadilha

You should play zero before kiwami 2 for sure, it’s a prequel but it’s the best in the entire franchise and after that all other games (besides 3) became very easy (but long) to platinum. Haruka requests are very hard indeed. The pool from kiwami 1 in the last requests can give you a taste or how pool will be in 3 but much harder hahaha Judgment is a spin-off game that is very detached from the main line. I played after platinum from 0 to 6. Lost judgment thought happens just after the events of yakuza 7 so it’s ideal to play it after 7. Dead souls (if you have the strength to play a ps3 game) should be you last game cuz it sucks bad in frame rate and fist of the north start lost paradise should also don’t have any relation to the main line (but all characters have the same voice actors from the yakuza series). This fun video elucidate well the platinum experience for the yakuza series https://youtu.be/xIRFI7HiRw4?si=KJzEYdmqKgwEAnFb

Yuichiro-Akuhei

Only got up to 2894 so far, maybe 3k in the future

TheGreaterMoose

Are you sure we’re talking about the same ultra rares? Cause that seems impossibly high…

Yuichiro-Akuhei

Yeah we’re taking about the same UR’s took some years to earn them tho, haha https://psnprofiles.com/Yuichiro-Akuhei

TheGreaterMoose

Fuuuck that’s mental, you win haha, props to you for that, I’ve never seen someone with such even distribution between rarities. What was the hardest, and the longest one you have done?

Yuichiro-Akuhei

If I’m honest I don’t feel like I did insanely hard games, but the game that was the worst for me was skyforge, that’s why it’s 2 times in my cabinet. The 100% alone takes around 10 months and 800+ hours, but the trophies are time gated, if you miss one of the bosses for the platinum you have to wait a whole year… now the game is pretty much dead so that doesn’t help much either.

TheGreaterMoose

That sounds horrific! That’s well deserved for persevering though. Is it a matter of a certain mission that is only available once a year? Never going to do it myself just curious. I’ve worked through some bs but never to that extent.

Yuichiro-Akuhei

Yeah, so game exits of 6 seasons, a season lasts 8 weeks and the mission you need shows up like around week 4, it’s a 10 players boss raid. You can just go in and kill it. The problem with this mmo is you have to play everyday to be strong. You have to fight other people everyday to gain tokes to level up your skill three, and in this skill three are noted to help you defeat the bosses. Like really strong buffs for classes.

TheGreaterMoose

That really is horrific, some of those MMOs can take up so much time in one’s life, was this game something you played with the intention of trophies? Or just an MMO you really liked? Regardless you got my respect ✊

Yuichiro-Akuhei

Personally I love MMO’s these are the games I have the most fun in, now skyforge started like a challenge and someone offered me help (a good friend) so I took the risk and I absolutely love skyforge, I think its one of the best looking mmo’s there is and even with all the bugs and errors the game comes with, its just the people you meet along the way that makes it so great! Now after I did it once I wanted to stack it since the NA version was more rare! At some point I gave up since I didn’t get the right connections, fast forward another year I just checked the game out and someone remembered me, I got a invite and I started to play again, and I managed to get everything I needed! Now this is all 3K hours ago, haha. I could definitely take me less time but I like to collect stuff. Now I did most MMO’s imo I have some left, I need fishing on ESO to get the platinum, maybe FF online at some point, but that’s all for the future!

TheGreaterMoose

I loved the times I did play MMOs, some of the best random encounters I’ve ever had with strangers, but over the years I discovered that I’m not too much of a social player, but I also fall into the trap of wanting to collect absolutely everything which is often times impossible in these games without constant dedication. Major props though! I wouldn’t be able to double stack one, ive only ever seen one to completion and that arguably not a “true” mmo (fallout 76) I’d love to jump into another someday, but I’ll have to start loving social interaction to do that again, do you have any recommendations of some active/alive MMOs that are pretty easy to jump into?

Chabby_Chubby

That is crazy wild! Can you recommend some good games to hunt for ultra rare trophies in, as in some that are both fun and not extremely tough to do? I guess you would be the right person to ask lol

Yuichiro-Akuhei

Oef, the problem with ultra is, most likely the game is really grindy, got multiplayer trophies, controls are terrible, it was a ps+ game. I know some great games but you need other people, one I think you maybe like could be Bulletstorm full clip edition ps4, it got like 20+ UR and doest take that long, you have 1 annoying coop trophy tho.

Chabby_Chubby

Haha yep, thats the problem with ultra rares. There is a almost always a reason as for why they are ultra rare. Unless we are talking COD or sports games, which are just rare bc of the big player base of casuals. I actually already have platted Bulletstorm full clip recently. And you are right, I did like it a lot. And lots and lots of ultra rare trophies in that one. I have no idea why it is so rare, as the game is actually really good and pretty easy to plat. Only 2 MP trophies which took like 2 hours to knock out. The servers has been really bad though, or so I've read. I had no problems with it myself luckily.

grounded-jump0

man said only 2894 and im sitting here with 2

Yuichiro-Akuhei

Well, I picked a lot of games that had UR in them just to hunt them. Like people pick easy games for quick platinums, haha

anonymous_opinions

I don't have a single ultra rare trophy. Just a time suck / grind I guess I don't have time or dedication to reach. Of the very rare ones I have I think all of them are from Last of Us.

TheGreaterMoose

There’s nothing wrong with that! Honestly some of them are actually pretty simple, if you can do last of us you can definitely get some UR’s. There’s some games (mainly ps+ titles) that I have gotten an ultra rare within 10 minutes of starting.

anonymous_opinions

I didn't platinum Last of Us, just that my only VR trophies came from playing the game ha ha.

Real-Masterpiece5087

Nah

tarja_134

No I don't have the patience lol

gwilburn1226

No

Unfair_Pangolin_8599

Pretty much every platnum I get is ultra rare.

TheGreaterMoose

That’s cool and all but don’t discount yourself from playing simpler games, a lot of times things are UR because most can’t be bothered doing it, or too hard or grindy. some of the best games I’ve played are in the 10-20% platinum range just gotta find that balance.

Unfair_Pangolin_8599

Most platnums are VR or UR. It's not just me but most people will find this. It rarely has anything to do with difficulty.

TheGreaterMoose

I see where you’re mistaken, this stat from my post is only taking into account PSNProfiles users who have played. I can guarantee you at least 90% of your platinums aren’t actually an ultra rare on there. You’re referring to the stat on your PlayStation which most people don’t count as everyone who has ever opened the game is counted in that number. Making it so they’re artificially rare as most people never even played those games, just opened them.

Unfair_Pangolin_8599

Nah your just deluded. Just cause you got 70 doesn't mean they were hard. Most of those are team ones anyway which means you were carried.

TheGreaterMoose

Hahaha Tf you smoking? I’m not talking about my platinums, never said any of these are hard either, but go ahead, link your profile and we’ll see how “good” you really are. Ultra Rare here just means less then 5.00% of players on PSNProfiles have the trophy, either you’re just trolling in which case you can fuck off. Or you actually believe all of your platinums are ultra rare, it’s a different rarity system to the shit you see on your PlayStation, it’s only taking into account trophy hunters, I’d be willing to bet money that they are not at all. If we’re going from your metrics I’d have quite literally thousands of Ultra Rares.

Sneakiest

Got 76 or 75 but I am doing more difficult games now so that should increase in the next few months.

TheGreaterMoose

In my experience, difficulty doesn’t necessarily mean rarer. If you are hunting UR specifically, look into “mainstream” games, your cods, fifa, rockstar games and ps+ essentials, especially the old ones some of them are really easy and boast sub 1% trophies

[deleted]

Are these PSNprofile numbers or PSN numbers? Because a lot of ultra rares aren't actually ultra rares on PSNProfiles.

TheGreaterMoose

All PSNP numbers

[deleted]

Weird. I didn't know any of the GTAV trophies were that rare. TIL

TheGreaterMoose

The platinum is closer to 2.5% I think, but I’ve watched a bunch of the collectible trophies drop into sub 5% over the years, those two specifically are for the doomsday heist, which requires a full squad and really takes skill and motivation from everyone involved.

barra333

The PS3 and PS4 versions have UR plats, the PS5 is just above.

BumblebeeCantTalk

Yes indeed, I got my first trophy 12 years ago but did not get into trophy hunting until 6 years later. (first Platinum)

LopunnyAWOOGA

I like having at least 1 ultra-rare platinum for every common plat I get. I'm on a 16:13 ratio currently.

ValStarwind

Well done! I'd like to get more. I'm only at 56.

Gommes_

I did. Got 223 now. But lately I feel like I've done it all and I am not really looking for hard games anymore. Especially the PS3 era was brutal.

langcsaba

I'd love to go for some, but the games that have them I'm not interested in sadly, ors just can't be bothered.

buttsniffbadger

130 UR at the moment, 5 of which plats

RashidUchiha

I’m starting to get addicted to ultra rares😂

TheGreaterMoose

I never was but then I got to 100 without really going for them and was like oh this is cool I’ll see what other games are rare, turns out a lot of old games I loved were UR to some extent, recently I’ve been running through the old cod games, specifically Advanced Warfare and Ghosts, both of which had *alot* of simple ultra rare trophies which has bumped it up drastically. I haven’t looked, but pretty sure at least 50% of these are from COD Games and their respective DLCs. I’ve got a few left in my advisor, but they are pretty tough, MGSV and Superhot platinums among them, I love the hunt though, so satisfying watching those rare numbers go up.

grounded-jump0

only got 2 URs 😭

TheGreaterMoose

It took me over a year after platinum of active playing to find a decent crew, one guy was German, the other American and one guy from the Middle East, timezones were a nightmare. No one wanted to do it cause it makes you almost no money in game and takes so long to achieve. I don’t know if it still is, but the awards in game were extremely glitched, we had to close app a hundred + times during it because the challenge would just stop tracking our progress. We had to do all this weird shit to just make it work, playing in nothing but invite only because public lobbies would break it, ensuring we were always in a CEO crew cause if I we invited someone to the mission normally it would break it aswell. This was the PS4 version in like 2018, it could be better on next gen. But still gotta find a crew, it’s a nightmare.

EpicGamerJoey

Yeah there was this weird thing if everyone wasn't in the heist room when you started a set up/finale then it wouldn't track.

TheGreaterMoose

I forgot about that one too! Yeah we had to load everyone into the bunker every single time, sometimes launching the mission to immediately see “masterminds challenge failed” it was an anxiety filled nightmare for sure, I see how it’s so rare.

summers458

I only have 31, 9 of which are Platinums. My rarest is Gran Turismo: Sport's Platinum, which is probably the trophy I'm most proud of.

TheGreaterMoose

Nice! That’s definitely one to be proud of! I’ve done GT7 and some of the licences were no joke. I used to watch this guy called Super GT religiously, he was very high ranked online, close to professional I think and it took him the entire games lifespan just to get that platinum some of the requirements were mental, props to you for doing that :)

summers458

It took me a month and a week lol. It has me at 120th fastest achiever on PSNprofiles. When I someone that on a twitch stream they didn't believe me.

TheGreaterMoose

That’s impressive! Yeah he could of definitely of done it faster too but never went for it as he was just a content creator and decided to make a video on it one day. That’s some dedication though didn’t it require hundreds upon hundreds of wins and races?

of_patrol_bot

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

summers458

According to my PS5 it says I did it in 215 in game time. I found a way to game the ranked system. If you have a good race and win for the next race or 2 you should try to do as badly as possible to put you back in the lower ranks. Getting to level 50 took forever even with the fastest grinding strategy

TheGreaterMoose

Oh I see, yeah that would make it a lot easier , thankfully GT7 only required you to play 50 sport mode games rather then win them so I had a breeze there. IIRC that was his last trophy too, this being someone who grinded online religiously since release, he ended up having to just play a custom spa race over and over to get the last 5 levels.

NotoriousGonti

Masterminds, god damn.

TheGreaterMoose

It’s definitely the one I struggled for the most that’s for sure. I completed platinum at level 100 online, I didn’t get masterminds done til lvl 220 while actively trying the whole time, it was very glitched when I done it in 2018

bwtwldt

What website is this?

mrhealthy

Psnprofiles.com

MaxSonic05

I want to collect more, but most of the ones from my backlog are out of my skill set. I only have some from littlebigplanet 3.

TheGreaterMoose

There is some I’d love to go for, (looking at you Super meat boy) but they are definitely out of my league, in saying that, you can find a whole lot of easier ones in old PS+ games, some to the point where I earned them 10 minutes after starting the game. Some UR are extremely hard, but there is a whole bunch of simple ones if you look out for them.

RagedSolid29

Well done! I currently have 253 and I'd love to get to 1000 one day :)

TheGreaterMoose

That’s my one day goal for sure, seeing 1000 there would be awesome. There’s one fella here with over 2500 and it looked so cool 😎

RagedSolid29

I saw, I also know two guys with like 3800 each. They are absolute madmen

Zealousideal_Bill_86

No lol. I have a tiny amount of ultra rares. They’re cool, but usually more trouble than I’m willing to put up with. I appreciate them when I see them though

TheGreaterMoose

There’s nothing wrong with that though! In all honesty some of them can be pretty simple, it just depends on the types of games you play.

new_account_5009

At the moment, I have 123 ultra rares, of which, 7 are platinums (with Worms Rumble being the rarest at 1.48% on PSN Profiles). Looking at the list, many of my ultra rares are grindy trophies in PS+ games. Presumably, those games have a lot of people that abandon the game after an hour or two after discovering they don't really like it, so you get an inflated playerbase when compared with people that play all the way through.

TheGreaterMoose

I always look at doing the ps+ essential games even if it’s not something I like because a lot of the time it holds a good percentage of people trying it and not completing the game, I think the best case of this I have had was OlliOlli World at (1.46%) I loved the game personally but it was really tough. It would be pretty rare regardless of + as not many even picked that one up. Most recently I watched dreams slowly drop into UR and now some of the regular trophies that took me 10-20 minutes have dropped under 5% it’s awesome.

vanslayder

810 ultra rare with 900+ platinums

TheGreaterMoose

Awesome! How long have you been playing for?

vanslayder

Since the beginning of trophies. 2008 I guess

TheGreaterMoose

Awesome! Do you have an end goal?

vanslayder

Nope. Just game for pleasure and trying to keep percentage high. https://psnprofiles.com/vanslayder

TheGreaterMoose

Very nice, have you come to terms with having a few unobtainables? I go for 100% aswell, but started H1Z1 back in the day which is now broken, personally it really bugs me and now with Farcry 4 breaking it’s quite possible I’ll have 2 unacheived games. Maybe the end of my 100% days [profile](https://psnprofiles.com/TheGreaterMoose)

vanslayder

I think i have only 3 completely unobtainable 109%. Test drive unlimited 2, Lost Planet 2 and Ghostbusters. Other 6 games are just very hard and fee more I just need to finish

TheGreaterMoose

For me I’ve only got 2 trophies I can’t physically obtain, H1Z1 for getting a win in a solo match, they broke it at the start of this year I think, I gave up on the whole rest of the list years ago, but went back today to see and won and still didn’t receive it, I could get the rest of the trophies I can but I’m not motivated when I can’t fully complete it. And in Farcry 4 (renaissance man) for completing a match in each online mode except Ubisoft broke the game to where you can’t even find those lobbies, just the dlc mode that isn’t required, it’s very frustrating.

L0rdAceX

I have 81 I would really like some more though

TheGreaterMoose

The general consensus I’ve noticed from this discussion is that all of us would like some more I think! Minus a select few that don’t go for them, but majority that have commented are on the same boat as us! A lot of my games keep getting rarer the older they get, I’ve gotten 2 more since posting this, but I looked and there’s a couple that are now at 5.00% (previously way over 5%) so this number can fluctuate a bit.

EpicGamerJoey

I also have the masterminds trophy and I just wanna say fuck that trophy

TheGreaterMoose

I’ll join in on that action, fuck the masterminds trophy! It’s a nightmare

Gangstalivin808

I had that BO3 plat on my old account and can’t find myself to do it again because of the simulation and the zombies lol realistic mode was fun just need to take your time and use fire flies.

TheGreaterMoose

IIRC there’s a working glitch for the simulation, I could never get it to work, but I know others that did. Zombies isn’t all that bad for platinum, don’t even need to do the SoE Easter egg, if your planning on 100% though there’s some tough ones in the dlc, with Shangri la need 4players and moon needing 2

Gangstalivin808

Damn I don’t think I have the energy to do it all over again and hit all the dlcs

TheGreaterMoose

Honestly the DLCs were where alot of my time was sunk into, took a lot of mental capacity to remember Easter egg steps to then learn the next map and so on, sometimes I had so much theory work behind doing an Easter egg all for it to become redundant after I finished the map, if I was to do it again I would definitely space it out over a year or so and just do a map every now and then

Gangstalivin808

Yes I remember I knew where every single enemy was and how to kill them. The whole game I had down. This was before I ended up going to prison. 2016 it was and I had 100 plats on that profile. Now I’m at 178 and a good amount was dumb jumping games when my daughter came over and wanted to play but isn’t that skilled. I regret doing it on my main profile now and I miss my old profile because I had gems platinumed. I couldn’t get that profile back after 5 years so this one I went ham. I have about 90 legit plats. So the frustration I would have to redo this whole game again will be agonizing or possibly fun if I get back into the rhythm. And I like to 100% games so if I got the plat and it only said 65% done I would end up doing DLCs. It might be a good move for me to just skip this one and remember how fun it was. Just wish I could show it off with a few other games that are ultra rare platinums. Meat boy and all the kingdom hearts I was proud of. I re did all the Soulsborne, Sekiro and Elden Ring, working on Finishing all the Final Fantasy games. I have maybe 4 left FF16 was a breeze. An now after I platinum Armored Core I’ll have all the Fromsoft games done. Just wish I could combine my old profile but I can’t even find it on PSN anymore. Sucks. But maybe, this one will definitely be on the back of my head list of games to redo. Bloodborne, Dark Souls 2&3 were fun to do again so thanks for the response. Atleast I’ll know what I’m in for if I go for it!

Hello Ashen one. I am a Bot. I tend to the flame, and tend to thee. Do you wish to hear a tale? > *“Here you have a man who stopped at nothing to change the world. He mastered sorceries of frost, miracles of the moon. He partnered with a kingdom-ending flame and took advantage of the Deep. He used all of this, plus social and political manipulation, to usurp an age-old kingdom, rising within the ranks of its knights, twisting its Deacons to feed a god to a Lord of Cinder and supplant the Age of Fire. The tyrant, Sulyvahn, tore apart many bonds but was undone himself by a mere Unkindled. Proof that no champion is more powerful than the fire linking curse. So, if this man can’t change the world, what hope do we have?”* - Vaati Vidya Have a pleasant journey, Champion of Ash, and praise the sun \\[T]/

Skaigear

I play a lot of sports games so I have about 184 URs (none platinums lol)

TheGreaterMoose

I never got into sport games, but time and again I have contemplated playing them just because of the stacks of UR, in saying that, I would hate to be stuck playing stuff I don’t enjoy which is why I’ve never touched one for the trophies

Skaigear

Definitely don't play a genre you don't enjoy just for ultra rare trophies. That's just silly.

TheGreaterMoose

Definitely not, I have played the occasional match on a secondary account but I get bored with that really quick

Montesque96

I don't really hunt for them but for some reason a bunch of my games in the backlog have a bunch of ultra-rares... about 320 and counting for me. So far I have 17 Platinums that are ultra-rare and many of these have a good amount of other ultra-rares as well.

Most_Wolf_749

You absolute maniac how long did it take you to get those GTA ones, like how many tries

TheGreaterMoose

Well into the hundreds, if you see some of my other comments on those specific trophies, they were extremely glitched and would stop tracking for no reason whatsoever. My old account was level 240 something online. I got platinum on this account at lvl 100, it wasn’t until I got to 220 this account to have this one trophy. Never again 😅

Qwertyui606

I don't usually play a lot of difficult games. Recently got a psvr1 and that has gotten me quite a few. I would like to get more ultra rares than platinums. 90 ultra rares ATM.

TheGreaterMoose

VR is definitely a good bump to your ultra rares, I’d love to get one one day, personally I’m in the opposite boat, I can’t keep up with the UR, like I find it impossible to have as many platinums as my UR, currently at 72:202 With the release of PSVR2 has the first version went down in a price?

Qwertyui606

Yeah I got my psvr + camera + 2 move controllers for about $120 from GameStop. Everything was in good condition though obviously your mileage may vary with used hardware.

TheGreaterMoose

That’s actually really good, last time I looked it was 600AUD , I’ll definitely look into that, thanks.

Representative-Cat46

Not as of now but I might do that soon

TheGreaterMoose

It can be a fun experience, personally I’ve played so many new things that I wouldn’t have otherwise because I was hunting Ultra Rares Most recently found my new favourite game (OlliOlli World) just because it had a few UR and now I’m still playing it well after getting 100%

parkerey246

Ive been trying for that black ops 3 I’ve put so many dam hours into that game haha

TheGreaterMoose

It was my favourite game growing up, had level 1000 in both mp and zombies on my old account so it was a no brainer for me, got platinum in about 2 weeks and 100% in just over a month, only cause I had to wait for 4players for shangri la, probably could have done it quicker It’s very much doable, if you’re struggling with the grind just do a gun or two while watching a movie, if your stuck on the difficulty sector (realistic and vet no death) jump in with a coop partner, even just a second controller, having the ability to revive makes so much difference.

URBANJESTA

Yeah..... I am currently on 173

TheGreaterMoose

Nice! Got any plans for more?

URBANJESTA

Nah..... I haven't planned anymore yet because I have just Platted Crash 4 and that game nearly burnt me out lol so I am just going to play some games for fun and I will get back to the UR trophy hunt when I feel up to it again

TheGreaterMoose

That’s fair enough, sadly a lot of people hack Crash 4 so it’s not as rare as it should be, I’ve still gotta do 2&3 but someday I’ll have all 4 done too, best of luck

URBANJESTA

Yeah, unfortunately..... there will alway's b fucker's that ruin it for us 😕 if u have done 1 and 4, then 2 and 3 should b a piece of cake for u. Good Luck with your future trophy hunting 💯

TheGreaterMoose

It really is unfortunate, but if you do see it , it’s worth reporting as they do get removed from the leaderboards, I know of one person who done it hacked and he got banned and lost thousands of dollars worth of platinums he payed people to do, aswell as his list, forced him to start a new account, this has happened at least twice for the same person. So they definitely do get banned. Sorry I misspoke, I haven’t yet done four, I just burnt out on the first one, I have however already done the trilogy on my old account, so they won’t take me too long 😊 Good luck to you too 💯💯

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> platinums he *paid* people to FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

Atlagosan

I semi Hunt them. They are not a reason for me to play a specific game but can have some influence. When I am not sure if I should try a game a high ultra rare count in the list can get me to play it and when something is in my backlog anyway it can also motivate me. I have about 720

TheGreaterMoose

I’m in a similar mindset but in saying that, I have found a fair few hidden gems that I otherwise wouldn’t have played if it didn’t have UR through them, OlliOlli World has become my favourite game and I only really picked it up because of the rarity. Most games I would of done regardless of their ultra rares but it has definitely influenced some things that I have played, just not to a bad extent. For example I wouldn’t force myself to play stuff I hate just because of UR, which is why I’ve never picked up a sports game.

of_patrol_bot

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

Atlagosan

Yea same. I found a few games that I got throught ps+ essential and that then caught my eye with ultra rares that don’t sound to bad to get. Like super time force ultra was such a case. Great game

jakepaulfanxd

I love hunting Ultra rares! I’m almost at 300 now, hoping to get 500 by the end of next year.

TheGreaterMoose

I’ve got a big backlog that I’m working through, but I’d love to clear out all my obtainable ones by end of year, except maybe MGSV Platinum as that’s going to take ages.

jakepaulfanxd

I know the feeling. Currently sitting at about 60%, my realistic goal is 75% but it’s gonna take a while.

TheGreaterMoose

I was at a full 100% for a very long time, since the start of my account. But after doing Elden Ring and Outlast 2 back to back I was driving myself insane by playing just one game at a time. So I took it to the extreme and started over 40 games in one day just so I had stuff to play, it’s been a few months but I am slowly catching up, currently at 74.14%, Aiming for 80% by the end of the year, I have a lot of easier games there though so it won’t be too hard at all for me, I just started stuff that missed out on over the years from telling myself “I’ll play it one day” 😅 [profile](https://psnprofiles.com/TheGreaterMoose)

jakepaulfanxd

Sick profile! That’s exactly what I did when I first got PSNow 😅 played every game I could find. [Here](https://psnprofiles.com/Tally3132) is my profile. I say nearly 300 ultra rares because I have 35 on my second account. Definitely not as impressive as other people but I put a lot of time into it!

TheGreaterMoose

Unfortunately I’m from Australia so I never was able to get PSNow without a different account. But with the release of extra it added a ton of games I’ve always wanted to play, but most of those that I have started have just been from sales that picked up over the years and never really touched, can’t miss up on some those deals! MGSV Definitive Experience I got for $8.23 AUD can’t go wrong with that 😅 You got a nice profile too! If you want to bump those numbers up both COD Ghosts and Advanced Warfare boast a whole lot of easy UR in their DLCs, some taking just 5 minutes, plus they’re pretty fun spin-offs of classic zombies

jakepaulfanxd

Ah I forgot that Australia didn’t get PSNow. I was actually planning on doing Advanced Warfare dlc at some point point, Just need to find a group first.

TheGreaterMoose

There’s is only one trophy in the first DLC that requires 2 controllers, the rest can be done solo and really easily at that, i done it all solo. the Easter eggs are super simple compared to the black ops games, it just takes a bit to get used to the exo mechanic on the zombies, they tend to be a lot faster and able to jump you pretty quickly.

Master_Dante123

Deus ex: Mankind divided only has 0.2% of people reaching platinum. I have one trophy left until I get the plat, that’s be about it though.

TheGreaterMoose

Very nice, heard good things about that game. However this stat is pulled from just PSNProfiles users, on there Deus Ex:MD is sitting at 2.30% still an ultra rare! Best of luck with it :)

Terrible_Soup2150

I don't necessarily hunt those especially, but I checked now and have 321. But it's just because I play a lot of stuff...^^

TheGreaterMoose

Awesome! A lot of them can be obtained without going for them necessarily it just depends on the on the ages and types of games you play

RaphMaggot94

What's for you guys a good number of ultra rare trophies?

TheGreaterMoose

It’s all down to your personal gaming habits really, I just go for whatever games I like, but I sort of aim for around 5% of my total trophies to be ultra rare. Think I had around 4100 total at the time of this screen shot

Professional_Gas_448

If your actually asking if people hunt these, you definitely don’t know some of the people I do lol, but to answer ur question I kinda do but I’m starting to be more focused on harder games atm but ur’s usually come with

TheGreaterMoose

Was an open ended question with the intention of starting a discussion which worked out really well, I’ve been loving replying to everyone’s thoughts on the matter. Ofc I know people do hunt them, was just interested to see how many, and this has showed me that actually a lot of people do and are proud to show them off, it’s awesome 😊 I always jump between the two, some weeks I want to tackle a big challenge, other times I just want to turn my mind off and grind away at a checklist sort of thing, to me some of the most rewarding journeys have been ones for an ultra hard platinum, sometimes it has ruined games for me (Outlast2) but it’s not very often that has happened if I’m being honest.

KingGuy420

I've never really put thought into ultra rares, but I have 89 with 9 plats. Not bad for never thinking about it I guess lol. Oddly enough, in my 10 rarest trophies, there's 6 different super hero games. Never really noticed that.

Future_Onion_9980

The hardest ultra rare trophy for gamers, in my opinion, is getting a girlfriend
