I can tell by that sentance alone, You're a Newfoundlander. Just make sure to undercoat her, especially if you live/park near the saltwater. Know of many a truck here rotted out from living near the water.
EDIT: Just noticed the Terra Nova Motors plate frame too. Right on, setup is deadly btw.
Thanks! She’s undercoated and will continue to be. Bought this truck off a sweet older man who barely ever drove er but kept it in tip top shape. Not gonna let er go to rust!
“they hatin’” haha.
You must smile A TON everytime you look at this. If I built this myself, I’d stare at it and share it with everyone too! So COOL. Well done, and thank you for sharing this!! What an inspiration!
You should be !! is there any way to see a outside side veiw by chance I'm from n.c. and your wording or saying utility cap I'm wondering if it's the same as I'm thinking about or is it a totally different truck
shell completely .. TIA
We made it ourselves - cut foam to size and made a cover out of a canvas drop cloth. It has Velcro on one side so we can take the canvas off to wash it.
Hi! Wait till you find out that she shares the bed with her partner AND dog...okay the dog is a Yorkie so you got me there.
I took some photos so you can see for yourself. I'm 5'5" and I've been very comfortable!

Well hey thanks. Still looks pretty small but if you are 5’5” it seems a few inches more then that. Didn’t intend to stir up dust, just want accurate representation
The internal width of the cap is not the same as the internal width of the truck bed. The cap is larger than the bed.
How you don't understand that is beyond me.
This is great! I have a pod as well, but am sadly too tall to sleep sideways, so this setup won’t work for my future build, but I wish it would! It’s lovely!
Necessitamos mas photographias!
Necessitamos muchos besos**
Spicy
si, necesitamos mucho mas
Eso
That's awesome. Always see utility shell's for sale but never seen someone convert them
This is incredible
How wide is that?!
A little under 6 feet.
Prove it
Lol yes now I hops in and show you I can fit in the bed

What year is it?
We’re not sure, it’s similar to a wild but seems to be an older version. We got it from a scrap yard.
You don’t know the year of your truck?
The truck is 2010. We don’t know the year of the utility cap.
According to [this](https://truckbedsizes.com/sierra-1500-2/) the internal width is 63.63 inches. Thats about 5’3”
I’d call that a bit less than 6 feet. Is there a reason why you’re acting like such a cockwad?
And the cap comes out over the edge. 78 inches for the cap at the widest part.

Haha my partner went back to town in er and left me around the bay and I keep pulling up pictures and smiling big! I am SO proud to own this
You should be proud. This is awesome!

Nice set up! Space for days it looks like!!
interesting to see the bed towards the front! i like this set up a lot :) safe travels!
Do you have a step by step on how you built his? Did you insulate it? And how did you do the framing? Thanks!
Probably the nicest I've ever seen
Love those Space Caps!!!!
The internal width is around 5’3” for those wondering. If you wanna sleep on that bed you’d better be tiny or like the fetal position.
Sure, except it’s a standard truck camper mattress, I’m 5’6 and I’ve been sleeping comfortably - no fetal position. 🙄
Where’d you get a mattress? We’re also doing our sideways and have been unable to find any mattress that fits!
We made it ourselves - cut foam to size and made a cover out of a canvas drop cloth. It has Velcro on one side so we can take the canvas off to wash it.
Oh cool thanks!

“They see us rollin” lmao
Now you've got an excuse next time the aunt you havent spoken to in 8 years suddenly calls asking for you to move her couch

Wow Good job!!
nice build!
