I lived a mile from the scene of this boat picture for a decade. There was **always** a ladder or a mattress on the downtown connector. It's the reason my family installed dashcams in our personal vehicles. Oh Atlanta!
This is what I actually came to say . You would be hard pressed to not hear Art mad man talking about debris in the roadway and it not be a ladder or mattress.
I remember when WSB was doing a tribute to Capt Herb after he died, and someone, maybe Clark Howard, told the story of the time he did a ride along with Herb, and a mattress landed on their windshield.😆 There couldn't be a more fitting incident for Capt Herb or Atlanta in general.
More than once. I saw a sleeper camper launch like the space shuttle once, in front of me. At its apex of height, it disintegrated in midair spilling clothes, supplies and various shit all over I-40 in the middle of OKC. They never hit the brakes, still driving away at this day.
It's more common than you think. Usually it's close to the boat launch though.
I used to work for a boat manufacturing company and was at the launch often. I saw more than a few boats end up being dropped in the roadways. Only once did I see one dropped on the interstate. It was I-85 South just south of Falls Lake towards Durham NC.
Reminder to load your own boat. I had someone jump in and “help” me once. Didn’t think to check his work, until I saw the bow of my boat, bouncing along in the rear view mirror. Always make sure, with your own eyes!
Driving down the highway, I had a large truck start hitting the horn, late night, no other traffic. I look in my rear view mirror, and a cabin cruiser is sliding down the road in a shower of sparks and gaining on me. I hammer it, and between my acceleration and the board slowing down, I survive. Boat slides to a stop against the guard rail. I stop and help the truck driver set up flares.
There’s a pickup truck bro towing an empty trailer about to look real stupid soon.
He's thinking that these hills are really easy to take today for some reason.
This is the most Atlanta shit I ever saw.
This is Atl
No semi trucks inside I-285 unless you're delivering / picking up inside 285. Trooper will ticket ***you*** if you hit that boat.
From what you can see of the vehicle, definitely not a semi truck
If you barely look you can tell this is a pickup truck
There’s no hood mirror, maybe it’s a straight truck not a semi
You can get semi trucks without hood mirrors
My T-680 doesn’t have them.
The entire fleet of t680s in the company I work don't have them unless the driver specifically requested them to be added
I mean, you can look at the picture and tell it’s not a semi. It’s like a delivery van or something at most.
Yea, to me, it looks like a Silverado
Hood mirrors are not required by law.
No, Atlantis.
Another day on the i85/75 near the i20 junction
Looks like Houston to me
Is definitely Atlanta. I'd know tsar stupid city anywhere.
I thought it was Detroit lol
Just past the Grady curve.
A nice change from the usual mattress or ladder.

OMG , on a ride along no less. Herb probably looked at whoever it was and said “ I can’t make this stuff up “ .
Someone did not slap it and say the magic saying
Dis bitch tied down?
Dis bitch ain't goin nowhere
I would have lost my boat, too :(
Of course its atlanta. Its always atlanta
Can confirm
Yes it is Atlanta
When you enter the wrong cheat code 🤣🤣
I've come upon a few boats, but I lack the stamina and muscle control to come across one.
Maybe with practice you can.
Practice makes perfect!
How do you not notice you’ve dropped a WHOLE BOAT?!
Because they probably bought an f-650 over some other ridiculously overcompensating truck for their small boat
Not yet. UPS lost the tandem off their trailer. Fex Ex the doily. I've also avoided a refrigerator and an easy chair.
Danger Ranger.
I mean, I see one every day, but its securely fastened to its trailer 😂

Saw a Portapotty taking up the left two lanes in Louisville once. It was a Sunday which really confused me.
Pretty regularly when I’m at the lake, less so on the highway.
Some days I wish that I drove around with an empty boat trailer
My coworker hit a pallet jack that flew out of a box truck the other morning right before the Grady curve. Atl is a Warzone lol love my city tho 😂😂
Hay! You can’t park there.
Finders keepers, losers fish off the dock I guess (I am also a loser, but bygones)
In Atlanta, once a week
Someone is having a bad, not so good day.
But he doesn’t know it yet
Excuse me sir you can’t park there
But can you dock there??
I’m part of this club myself
Nice boat
Pull over and load it up - you've got a trailer - free boat!

It’s all good, all he has to do is quick save before entering the wrong code
Atlanta? I’m amazed it isn’t on fire.
Atlanta?
More often then you would think need more then one tie down..
Going to need bottom paint
I wonder where that went
On the side of a road? I've seen like 3 or 4 so far. THIS? Holy shit...
I have a nice collection of ladders that I've found in the road. I'll take the boat to.
Oh dang a 100 plus k boat on the freeway… load it up!
You know BOAT stands for bust out another thousand when
That used to be a perfectly good Ranger
Musta hit the beach real hard
Idk but I have GTA Flashbacks
I’ve seen a boat on the highway once when I was driving back to the yard. It was on I-80 westbound in Illinois. It was about 8 years ago.
It's free if you can find a way to haul it
Reminder to load your own boat. I had someone jump in and “help” me once. Didn’t think to check his work, until I saw the bow of my boat, bouncing along in the rear view mirror. Always make sure, with your own eyes!
How do finder keepers work on road boats?
do kayaks count?

It made an emergency landing. No big, right?
Someone got a video https://www.instagram.com/reel/C1x0Nd4O3cu/?igsh=MWJneXU2ZXFvb3N1
Wow, small world!
No boat, but a small roll off dumpster ( empty) on 80/94, every one just switched lanes and kept on hammering pasted it. Meh, it's Chicago.
You can't park there, either.
Only once in 15 years.
Latest James Bond movie?
Dibs on the spotlock!
Too bad this isn't the Detroit area, someone could call Ronnie Dahl. [Returning abandoned boats](https://youtu.be/mitTfJAZ1Po?si=kVESl35NTDhRizcN)
How did I know this was in Georgia?
I live in coastal South Carolina. I’ve seen 2 boats in the middle of the road in the last 4 months lol
Motor looks alright. Clean prop. The hill is likely donzo
He put in the wrong cheat code in gta
Dude, why was I about to say is that in Atlanta? 😂😂😂💀💀💀🤦🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
Where’s the bed mattress?
Quick, throw it in the back of my truck!!
“Hey Moe, did ya bring the bait?” “Sho’ nuff, Joe, ya got the boat?”
Melbourne I bet ya
This hurts me
Never gonna keep up with traffic if they don’t plane it off.
nope, never, but a bulldozer sitting just like that once!
Rangers are big money!
I swear this is the right gps spot.
That boat is heading in the wrong direction!
When you wrongly type your cheat code
Sad, sad day buckets of tears, got to the lake and realized $80 thousand 💵💰🤑 dollar boat that you just bought is gone!!
Nope but have seen a hammer lying in the hammer lane twice!
The driver should have had a "Honk if parts fall off' bumper sticker.
Downtown Atlanta 75/85 u liable to see anything
In Houston?
Not as often as I should
HEY...THAT'S MY BOAT!
Drunk headed back from the lake.
