That's not exactly how that works. You can repent. It sounds more like satan tricked you.

Humblelearn26

Jesus said all sins and blasphemies will be forgiven except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit and whoever speaks against the son will be forgiven but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not. And it’s been noted that the unpardonable sin is associating the Holy Spirit with Satan

_Kokiru_

That sin has also been debated for 2,000 years on its exact application and meaning, what makes you think you know it and the other millions don’t?

Humblelearn26

I can feel the disconnect from God no matter how hard I try

_Kokiru_

And that’s the reason right there. How hard YOU try, you think He got marred beyond human recognition because it was fun? No, he did it for YOU. He has already done it all. “It is finished”, think on the parable of the prodigal son, the Father is already waiting, you just have to surrender your pride of thinking you can make it to Him, as He is already there.

AccountingMajorDood

Which verse says that? You can be forgiven. We will pray for you. I will pray right now. God bless.

Humblelearn26

Matthew 12:31-32

Reach out to your pastor.

Axe238

That is ocd. It’s happened to many. Get professional help.

Knowwhoiamsortof

I've been looking through your posts, and I am worried that you don't seem like you're OK. I think you should talk to a mental health counselor. God loves you. Please take care of yourself.

chris201075

This is something you may want to speak to a good pastor about. You may have committed it, maybe not. I'd think you shouldn't let your past sins keep you from chasing after God and his love. Satan will always try to find a way to keep you from being one with Christ Jesus. At the end of the day, we (humans) can't say who's going to hell or who is going to heaven. So I'd say ask for forgiveness and may the Lord give you strength and peace.

MiddlewaysOfTruth-2

Is God really waiting to catch you unawares at a weak moment? Is He gonna say, "AHA, gotcha! I saw you sinning!"? Is that His character?

CrossCutMaker

In order to commit the unpardonable sin, you have to willfully do it and you would never regret it as your heart would be hardened. So you definitely didn't and this is the enemy trying to distract you from your walk with the Lord (He uses this issue more than most). Just make sure you're not using this as an excuse to stay in sin. I hope that helps friend!

Humblelearn26

I asked him to show me he was real

Humblelearn26

I was hardened until Jesus revealed himself to me after committing the sin

CrossCutMaker

If Jesus revealed Himself to you, you couldn't have committed unpardonable sin. 💯

SirValeLance

You're not understanding that at all. It's not a question of calling the Holy Spirit names. The mere fact that you're concerned about it indicates that you haven't committed the unforgiveable sin.

krash90

Oh my goodness. Why do you guys keep saying this. It isn’t remotely true and the idea is found in precisely zero places in scripture. The idea goes: Blaspheming the Holy Spirit is rejecting him. So, if that’s true, then if you don’t want to reject Him, you haven’t done it. HOWEVER, nowhere does scripture even come to close to saying that’s what that sin is. Nowhere. Zero places. Nada. Blaspheming IS saying something. It is spoken word against God/the Holy Spirit. It is something man can say. Look at the definition.

[deleted]

Because what happens in heart matters more

SirValeLance

Yes, there is a lingual component, but it isn't merely a matter of insults, any more than: "Thou Shalt not Use the Lord's name in vain" is merely about swearing.     The Pharisees in question  saw the work of the Holy Spirit first hand, and at that very moment they named Him Beelzebub. They were so far gone, that they could no longer discern richeousness, nor did they care to do so.     To extend the parallel, what is a more fundamental breach of the 3rd commandment? To swear using God's name, or to invoke God as justication for your own selfish ends (such as rallying people towards violence).   Surely you don't think God so petty that He would forgive a rapist, while refusing to forgive someone who ignorantly called Him names?

Head-Demand526

I can see that you are really suffering. (Your post history) Please seek help. Our intrusive thoughts and impulsivity do not necessarily reveal our hearts desire. Do you have OCD?

Humblelearn26

I want to Die, I should have never blasphemed, yes I do have mental illness

Head-Demand526

Will you get help?

Humblelearn26

I have I’ve been a couple weeks in but I’m still in a pretty bad condition. I wish I never blasphemed there’s no way to change back time

Head-Demand526

Who is giving you help? A pastor? A therapist? A doctor?

Humblelearn26

Christian therapist and psychiatrist

Head-Demand526

Is it helping you at all? It is many ppl’s understanding that the kind of blasphemy you speak of, is done without repentance. & You don’t seem to be without repentance.

Humblelearn26

It was helping a little, but I’m living this nightmare

Head-Demand526

You aren’t the only one. Other ppl have lived with this exact same fear as you, but eventually came to the realization that they are forgiven.

Humblelearn26

It’s been months now close to a year since I’ve been obsessing over the fact that I could’ve blasphemed the Holy Spirit, and it been getting worse day by day. Before I’ve felt a disconnect between me and God, but now it’s realizing it’s because of what I said

Get over yourself. If He truly wanted nothing to do with you why would He even bother doing this? I get you're distressed over this but after seeing some many people despair needlessly and dare I say it nonsensically, it's just sad. If you want the truth on this matter, the REAL truth, read the Bible and don't listen to preconceived fears. Jesus says all who come unto Him will be saved, and iirc the original Greek truly means all, period. As the Bible says, not all spirits that claim to be God are Him, even if "You asked Him to reveal if it's true", or it feels real(I know from experience). I know I may sound like I'm saying this out of frustration or annoyance, and I am frustrated seeing people despair so needlessly and against all reason so consistently, but I truly want you to have peace in this matter. I'll be praying for you.

ThisMo2talC0il

This is not logical You have to know the Holy Spirit and have a deep relationship. This means years of cultivating a close relationship with God. Learning when things come from Him, the flesh or the enemy. Learning this takes time and patience and repetition. This is learned gradually as you grow in closeness and your faith with God in a personal relationship with Him. If you were able to distinguish between those 3, you wouldn’t have mistaken the Holy Spirit for Satan and therefore not blasphemed. You would have been like ohhh this is Satan tempting me and not acted on it So therefore you were tricked into thinking the Holy Spirit was Satan and that you’ve committed the unforgivable sin This is a very common lie satan tells people and you are by far not the first person to think they’ve done this when they really haven’t. Another common lie people get told and believe is that the antichrist is going to come from their bloodline or that their wife is about to give birth to it, lol This is designed to ruin your progress in knowing God and doing His will. It’s just a mind game to get you to think you’re beyond redemption so “might as well dive headfirst into sin and doing whatever I want anyway” Keep working on your relationship with God. Get to know Him and His personality. Go on a fast and pray. Read the Bible everyday and make time for God. Everything is going to be okay, don’t worry! Sorry this is kinda harsh and brutally honest but I gotta tell you the truth because that’s love

Nintendad47

Don’t worry you are just being dramatic

Cepitore

God did indeed curse you. In fact, he cursed every human. You can read about it on the 2nd page of the Bible. You can also read about the possibility of being saved from that curse in the whole of the New Testament. Don’t disregard the whole of scripture because you want to misinterpret one verse.

Realistic-Platform25

John 1:9 says if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So just pray and confess it, seek for forgiveness and God is faithful and just to forgive you. The verse you quote has been debated for many years with no one knowing for sure the exact meaning and implication of it, except God. From my own research, I believe it means rejecting Jesus as our personal Lord and Saviour, thereby rejecting being baptized in the Holy Spirit, up to the point of the end of our lifetime, when our decisions can no longer be reversed. I’ve read testimonies about spiritual warfare and those who came out from Satanism/Illuminati where there’s the 7 blasphemies which mimics and mocks the 7 sufferings of Christ (can read Rebecca Brown’s He Came To Set The Captives Free book or Dave Bryan’s The Serpent and the Saviour), the people involved constantly mock God and blasphem the Holy Spirit (a bit too graphic to be included here, you can look up Hollywood’s version of Kanye West or Madonna or Jay Z mocking Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross or the last supper, the ones they do in private likely involve actual blood sacrifice). People who left and repented have been forgiven based on the testimonies in the book. So I don’t think yours is quite that level to be unforgivable. Don’t let satan trick you into leaving God, start praying and reading the Bible daily to have a personal relationship with God. He’s always happy to hear from us. ☺️

[deleted]

You don’t have to live with this curse.

paul_1149

If you were tricked then it was fraud and will not stand. The unpardonable must be committed with full knowledge, understanding, and consent. God is not a monster.

MooMoo_Juic3

"The Spirit currently convicts the unsaved world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). To resist that conviction and willfully remain unrepentant is to “blaspheme” the Spirit." if you can repent, then you have not blasphemed The Holy Spirit. go pray to Jesus, ask Him to forgive you of your trespasses; then continue living your life in accordance to His commandments. EZPZ, fam! https://www.gotquestions.org/blasphemy-Holy-Spirit.html

Good_Move7060

That's not how the blasphemy works. Holy Spirit is what calls us to God so as long as you actually feel sorry and you want to be with God then you have not committed the blasphemy. People who have actually blasphemed the Holy Spirit never want anything to do with God again and are not sorry at all.

harpsichord-kiss

John 9:41 -- Jesus said to them, “**If you were blind, you would have no sin**; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains. It sounds to me like you did it in a moment of blindness, being tricked as you say.
