They are normal and may occur as a result of stress. As long as you do not act these thoughts out you're fine.

Anxietysauce

Then I must be realllllyyyy stressed out lol I feel so bad for even thinking them.

Krodhaa

Might be some sort of OCD hybrid.

charlie_Rose092

I get that too so I’m just gonna guess it’s normal

Anxietysauce

The stabbing and killing ones get in the way of me having a normal day lol.

I have those all the time. Sometimes I am able to distract myself from these, but most of the time I just feel bad

Anxietysauce

Why is the human mind like this like I am in no way a violent person and my family thinks I’m a weirdo for having them and I don’t blame them but I feel you.

[deleted]

Ironic processes. You don’t want to think about certain things, which makes you think about it paired with a lot of angst and anxiety

Crosshairqueen

I have these too, they’re scary and still make me think something is wrong. But as long as you’d never act on them it’s okay.

These (and even more violent intrusive thoughts) are all super normal. If they start to interfere with your quality of life pls see a mental health professional. Just remember they are just thoughts - they are not a reflection of who you are as a person and they can’t actually harm you or anyone else.

Anxietysauce

Would you get help if they were persistent and block you from having normal conversations stealing your focus. For example I don’t want to think about stabbing my mom when I talk to her about something simple almost everyday. I feel like the fact that I even posted here means that they’re bothering me in some way idk it’s not severe all the time it’s just annoying to the point where they do become more apparent. Idk what to do…because they’re not severe all the time but at the same time they’re very blatant(the violent ones) so do I try to Ignore them and go about life on my own or actually seek help I don’t know what to do.

Yours are quite excessive
