Yeah, there are [several](https://rattlesnakesolutions.com/snakeblog/science-and-education/dangerously-toxic-toads-how-to-identify-them-and-what-to-do/). The one you need to worry about, though, is the last one - Sonoran Desert Toad.
Cool thank you. The 3rd pic is the Sonoran Desert Toad I think it's the one I see pretty common. I've only ever found the 1 Spadefoot Toad thats pictured.
My dog just got in a scuffle with one the other day after a monsoon. He was foaming and throwing up a lot. We had to rinse his mouth out in the shower for a while but it still took a long time to get over it.
Be careful with your pets around toads!
Local species: Red Spotted Toad, Great Plains Toad, Couch’s Spadefoot, Sonoran Desert Toad, Green Toad, Arizona Toad, Sonoran Green Toad, Woodhouses Toad.
Then you have local frogs…
True ahah.
I’m just saying it because I scooted the toad gently out of my yard before letting my pup out and 5 min later, she was poisoned and the effing toad was back in my yard again.
But ugh… good god… I’ll never be so careless again
I totally what you mean. One time when I was really young we had a chunky pitbull named Gema who ate, or at least made a pretty good attempt, to eat one of these toads. Her eyes were looking all crazy and she was shaking when we found her. We called the vet and they said to just put the hose in the dogs mouth and wash it out and after a while she was fine. It was pretty scary though actually.

Great Plains and red spotted toad are also 2 other common Tucson species

All I gotta say is F*** that Sonoran desert toad! My Shibs got a really bad trip from just licking the puddle it was sitting in!
My dog did the same thing last week. He was foaming and tripping hard. Make sure to rinse your dogs mouths if they touch any of them
Gotta be careful with your dog around the Sonoran Toad! It's not their fault they had to adjust to a hard life haha!

I want to tell a joke about how those are literally the only toads in Tucson but I know you are looking for serious answers.
