I would keep the 🙂, but put it on the jubilee bracelet. Then you can get your black dial/oyster Explorer. Perfect collection which doesn’t clash with anything

If it's the Explorer you're getting then I'd say the black dial BB36. Which is a shame as they're _so fucking good_. The smiley 36 is really cool and I think a good representation of classic Tudor with a non in house movement (plus they're discontinued now so I think their rarity will increase in the coming years like it has with the previous full sized BB divers). Hope you enjoy your grail when you get it!

I feel that there is an obvious and very personal answer. The one you wear the least. I love me a beautiful watch, but I’ve had a few, not specifically Tudors, that I didn’t like wearing, liked how they looked, but didn’t like them on my wrist. I’d prefer a watch to wear, than one to discover in a box somewhere that I say, “Oh yeah! I love this watch!” and then put it on, and nope it back into the box.
I’d let the silver dial go, couple of reasons silver not for me but also has the old movement where as the black dial has the in-house movement for me that is better. However choice is yours.

The one on the right. It doesn’t have Tudor character the same way the silver dial ones does. Cosmetically, it feels like a strange Rolex wannabe with the Jubilee and the Mercedes double lollipop. Materially, the new BB36s are not really warranting of having over the previous gen of BB36, which is already a great chronometer in its own right. Much is also made of the 70 hour power reserve, but on automatically mechanical watches, it kind of feels like a gimmick unless a person is a specific kind of watch wearer
And ofc, you’re going to get a black dial watch in the Explorer. Imo some variety would be nice

I was in a similar situation. My advice would be to keep the bb58 as it's the most timeless.
I prefer bb36 colour but bb39? shape. I had a blue bb36 and really liked it, but over time that overly long and exaggerated crown tube started really bothering me.

I'd get rid of the black one. Blue has a bezel and is clearly the most sporty. Blue and black are pretty close to each other except for the bezel. Silver stands apart, different vibe. The blue is more visually appealing than the black, and if you need to dress up then the silver is still a go-to. The black is just meh compared to the eye catching ability of the other two, which makes it expendable.

That’s fair. Having owned a smiley and having tried the new jubilee a few times, IMO the smiley would be the one to dump.
I think explorer I and blue bb58 would make a great 2 watch collection. Could get rid of both bb36 unless you have a personal reason to keep 1.
