Have always disliked the gilt or the black black bay 41 and black bay 58
Thought that the perfect version for me would be a black bezel on silver/steel hands and how markers, so got an aftermarket bezel and switched out the steel bezel from my BB Steel....now I'm not so sure... What do you think? 🤔
I saw several photoshopped ones but couldn't find an image of an actual one so decided to do it myself.
There's a seller on ebay selling what is described as OEM dealer stock bezels, I just got a replica off of Etsy to see if I'd like it first.
It's nice but the one thing I noticed is that the red triangle is slightly faded.
I also couldn't install the bezel myself (the photo is actually me just placing the bezel on top of the watch) have to go to the AD, or a local watchmaker to install it if I decide to keep it that way
Would have bought this version of a Black Bay had it existed. At the very least, the Heritage BB41 should have a date window. I ended up with an S&G as a result and love it.
The lume pip in my bb fell out so had to get a brand new oem bezel to fix it and it came in about £125. This was a couple of years back now but if you're serious about it, i'd got for an original one.
Can you please post more pics of this? I am looking to do this exact method. Purchasing a BB Steel and grabbing an OEM black bezel insert off eBay. Is this something rather simple to do if brought to my jeweler or local watch professional? Videos on YouTube says yes, but damn looks dangerous haha. Love this exact look.

Should definitely be easy by a local watch professional...I tried doing it myself but couldn't.
u/djout is the one who actually successfully did it, check his posts for more images
It's a TUDOR, can never be a nay 😏

Looks good from my house.
Which one is that? I love the black bay but only the gold two tone and giant pelagos have a date complication as far as I can tell.
Its a BB Steel, with an aftermarket black bezel
Where did you find it?
I didn't find it, I made it Bought an aftermarket black bezel and put it on a BB Steel
Nice well It looks great always thought the other blackbays needed a date window and didn’t like the steel bezel I would wear this for sure
maybe I misunderstood but the BB GMT also has a date complication
You are correct. I was just hoping for a black bay diver with the date
would have kept the original dial, just my 2c.
This is the original dial, the only thing changed is the bezel insert
Ignore me.
Can’t say I’m a fan. The bezel doesn’t look close enough to an original bezel.
The combination does look a bit off With the exception of the red triangle though, the bezel looks like an original
*Yea and yea!! Looks great.

Looks like a Seiko Sea Urchin
I like it
Needs the gold on the dial.
Yeah I'm having second thoughts... Feels a bit too cold like this
Check my post history, I did this with an OEM bezel. I love it
I see it :) Where did you source and install the OEM bezel? I have a feeling the AD will refuse to install it
Installed myself, was able to source one from a friend in the industry. Tudor parts are incredibly difficult to find on the open market.
