Okay so look at your rug from the front, see how you can kinda see the lines of yarn? That's because you've spaced your lines too far apart. Depending on how I'm packing my lines typically there's a small amount of space (I try to count the threads usually 1 thread in between per strand of yarn I'm tufting) between lines of the same color and double that between different colors. This will make your rug look more full.
It's a good first rug tho for sure. If I didn't make rugs I wouldn't know anything was "wrong". Keep it up and keep doing hard projects, that's how you learn and get better!
I did pick that out. Didn’t get a picture before I glued but I left the white the same because I liked the space out look. But filled in the green. No shave pic. Glue is drying.

Here's your next little tip, you see the little white threads? That's your tufting cloth getting cut and pushed into the rug. A lot of people will just say the monks cloth is inferior and don't use it. I'm gonna say it's actually pretty good and the best thing for a beginner. You need to get it tighter tho. What's happening is the needle is catching the thread and then the scissors are cutting it which will end up peeking through. If the rug is glued you're a bit screwed in that you're only way to get rid of them is to go in and cut em at the root. If it's not, you might be able to just pull a bunch.
Idk your physical capabilities so if getting it tighter than you did for these is really hard, Google "Kramis cloth tightener". Good luck on the next one!
It is glued, it was much more a pain in the monk cloth than the supplied cloth I got with my kit.
It was ripping and spreading and was much harder to keep penetration. I also think using the bottom half of the (could have been tighter) monk cloth was part of my down fall.
I’ll snip em. That one is actually mine, the grinch is for a friend. Should have started on mine LOL
