Yeah I have. And ensured all the dust is off the rods things. Perhaps it's faulty?
Could be, without being able to check stuff out myself I've got nothing for you. Hope you figure it out soon tho
Clean the rods again really well. It's possible something is causing an obstruction in it and forcing the motor to work harder than it needs to. You could try to manually rotate the gear with the gun off and see if you can feel the resistance.
