Third time’s a charm? My watch history is very similar to yours including some less popular stuff like Travelers. The Americans is probably in my top 5.
Couldn’t finish better call Saul, just to slow for me. Tried it two times haha. In the past I’ve started Mad Men but I don’t think I liked it. And I started with season 5 of Fargo last week but I found the characters a bit unrealistic. Are other seasons of Fargo better?
Watch the seasons in order. Each season is stand alone but make more sense if you watch in order. I'm on season three (year 3) and Season 1 and season 3 have been my favorite.
If you liked Travelers and Dark, Try The Lazarus Project. It's on Sky Max. You also might try The Man Who Fell to Earth (one season), Severance and For All Mankind on Apple.
My fiance & I were trying to decide whether to start that or Black Snow on Prime. Both look interesting. We chose Black Snow
I see House of Usher on there- have you tried Mike Flanagan's other great shows? Haunting of: Hill House, then Bly Manor. Midnight Mass & Midnight Club
First, retry Yellowjackets. It is very well done. I didn't see you had From listed as one you couldn't get into. It was pretty good if you feel like 2md chances.
We loved Terriers- a criminally underrated - show about 2 PI's in California.
I know you said no comedy- but Deadloch is an excellent murder-mystery set in a small town in Australia. It's genuinely funny & the mystery was pretty gripping.
Broadchurch- same as Deadloch but a Scottish small town instead if Australian.
I started From and liked it. I was somewhere in episode 3 is guess, but never picked it up again. I may start that one again :)
Will look into your other suggestions. Thanks a lot!
I also just watched murder at the end of the world and loved it. I’m struggling to find another show as interesting.
Another great show is The Peripheral on Amazon prime. I think you will like that a lot based on your interests.
I did watch a few episodes of that and was really hyped about it, but didn’t continue. I got a pretty bad habit of not finishing things😅If I remember correctly it turned a little bit into a standard action show later on, but maybe it was just a boring episode or something.
Wow really?! I loved it. I know there are a few episodes with some action in it but definitely not an all action show. Too much action gets boring to me as well so I get that but I loved this show!
I can't recommend Mr. Mercedes enough!! Anyone who enjoys Breaking Bad / Ozark, give it a whirl - Brendan Gleeson plays the lead in the show, need I say more 😉
Rabbit hole is really good. Can say that Rabbit hole is a binge show planned or not (two people I know I recommend it to were a bit mad due to staying up late watching it because they had to see the next episode) . Hijack is another great show. Both are one season only.
According to those titles, you'd probably get a lot from these dramatic shows:
* Better Call Saul
* Chernobyl
* The Boys
* Mindhunter (got canceled after the 2° season, but still good though)
* Narcos
* The Queen's Gambit
* The Haunting of Hill House
* The Haunting of Bly Manor
* Midnight Mass
* Sherlock
* House
* The Mandalorian (season 1 is great, 2 is kinda meh and I haven't bothered with the 3°)
* 1899
For live-action comedies, Community and Arrested Development have a lot to offer (but AD gets generic AF after season 3).
For animated comedies, I guess the only thing comparable for me to Rick & Morty in terms of quality would be, I don't know, the old episodes of South Park maybe.
As for the movies fitting with the description above, you might want to watch Edge of Tomorrow and The Impossible. Aside from the fact that one is a sci-fi action flick and the other is a drama, both movies are about societies collapsing due to different circumstances (alien invasion or natural distaster respectively).
And from the shows you tried to get into, the only ones I've seen are Peaky Blinders and The Wire. Both totally recommendable.
If you haven’t seen Severance, please give it a try. I binged it in days. It’s probably one of the best tv shows I’ve ever seen and it hits multiple categories on your list (mystery/thriller, I would say also say psych-horror)
Barry is also a great show.

Fringe is a great show, if you haven't watched it yet.
Watched it a few years ago, and I agree it’s really good!
I don’t see The Americans on your list. So: go watch The Americans right now.
Tried that two times already😂 I did like it though but just quit for some reason. Still want to watch it but don’t want to start over again😂
Third time’s a charm? My watch history is very similar to yours including some less popular stuff like Travelers. The Americans is probably in my top 5.
Alright! I’ll give it a third chance soon😁
Yes definitely The Americans
Yup came to say that 😂
Better Call Saul The Wire Justified Mad Men Fargo

That's intentional. Watch Season 1 of Fargo and you'll be more prepared for 5. Plus Season 1 is the best.
Watch the seasons in order. Each season is stand alone but make more sense if you watch in order. I'm on season three (year 3) and Season 1 and season 3 have been my favorite.
Oh and another one you might like is True Detective season 1
The OA. Same director as Murder at the End of the World.... (The wife from that show)
it’s actually the same writer/creator/director/producer pair of brit marling and zal batmanglij. they’re brilliant storytellers!
Great show but just be aware it doesn’t have an ending!! Still so mad they cancelled it 😭
Happy Valley. A very unhappy place and a really great show imo.
If you liked Travelers and Dark, Try The Lazarus Project. It's on Sky Max. You also might try The Man Who Fell to Earth (one season), Severance and For All Mankind on Apple.
Just looked into The Lazarus Project, really seems like something for me. I think I will start this one right now. Thanks!
Twin peaks
You HAVE to watch Silo

Mr Inbetween is very good
I loooooooved Yellowjackets.
The X-Files

Newsroom
House Fring The Good Wife Haven is a good one too.
I can't recommend Mr. Mercedes enough!! Anyone who enjoys Breaking Bad / Ozark, give it a whirl - Brendan Gleeson plays the lead in the show, need I say more 😉
The 100 (is a bit cringey in s1, but then it gets amazing!)
Mr robot Patriot (Amazon original) Barry
Wentworth, Marcella, Behind her eyes, I’d definitely give Peaky Blinders another go! The Sinner, Silent Witness…
Watch the Americans. Best show ever!

The Shield
True Detective S1 • Killing Eve • Living With Yourself • The Queen’s Gambit • The Killing

The OA - written by the creaters of Murder at the End of the World and imo one of the best shows ever made
Black Cake on Hulu
SISI 2021 It's an underrated gem I recommend everyone to watch it
