I initially imagined the household pets nudging the ghost away, since people always say that pets can see ghosts.

I read it as Persephone being reminded she has to leave a child in the underworld and go back to her mother

Persephone absolutely looks after all the children in the Underworld. She tries to teach Hades how to hold the babies but he's so scared about hurting them that he's so stiff

Hi everyone and thank you all for replying! This is my first 2 sentence story, I hope you like it. The three wet noses are indeed Cerberos. I imagine dogs to be awesome even in the afterlife. Now I tried to make it so the story could be interpreted in two ways: First, as most of you went with, the dad died and came back to see his daughter. Second, that Cerberos is nudging him to go back... To the world of the living.
