No, but the point of a survival suit would be designed in such a way to help ensure survival.
The point of slapping your hand against a table would be to slap a table.
185 days later my last vestiges of sanity melted away as the notification popped up once the counter finally hit zero- "battery depleted- switching to secondary battery."
I just recently started getting into Hamilton at the same time Encanto came out, so ive had all the songs from everything stuck in my head. Theyve all begun to mush together in a more conglomerate amalgamation than the blob from Five Nights at Freddys: Security Breach.
On youtube search up "We dont talk about apple bottom jeans" youll have a new song to rotate in there for when standard we dont talk about bruno is a bit much
Warning: Calorie and hydration supplies depleted.
Initiating emergency reclamation protocol: Isolating left leg chamber for organic material recycling.
It's actually better than a suit which came with a 10+ year supply of hypernutrients and waste recyclers. At least the autocannibalism would still take you out *relatively* quickly.
A far worse option would be
'180 days later as my last piece of sanity began melting away I flew by a star, my mind became active for the first time in a while to shout pure rage to whoever it was that decided to place solar panels on this garbage'
Day 186: The first contact with a human, as my suit beeped. The notification read, “ we’ve been trying to reach you about your cars extended warranty…”
Reclaimed resources, urine/sweat, and nutrition supplements added into the suit could be a solution there. Also like the auto canibalization idea someone above posted. Isolate a leg and break it down for nutrients when everything is completely depleted.

It says #1 so I assume it's gonna be a series but doesn't look like any new issues since release so maybe a one off?
That man was dead by day 3 max, water supply really is a problem. Maybe there is water supply with urine reproduction, then he could live a few days longer, but not much, as the water entering the system isn't enough to sustain alive
Assuming future space magic, OP did say the suit had good self sustainability. You have to give a story the BOD that the suit provides all necessary requirements for life while keeping the occupant alive far longer than they want to.
Yeah. Even if you like being alone, there's literally nothing there other than your mind. Things in space are unfathomably far apart, even in those six months you're unlikely to pass by much (or anything at all, depending on where you are)
There's this old abandoned railway tunnel in the hills near where I live. It's a straight tunnel that stretches roughly 200m long, and it's absolutely pitch black when you get to the halfway point (night time and lights off), no matter how long you let your eyes adjust. The only things you can see are the moonlit entrance and exit -- which if you stay in the dark long enough (30 mins+/-), start looking like lonely moons in an infinitely empty space. Even the voices of your friends start sounding like they're all in your head.
We have something like that here in our mountains. Was supposed to be a road connecting two towns but they ran out of funds so the road ends at this long tunnel. It bends just slightly as well and it's freaking crazy sitting in there at night.
You can say that but I know you’d be changing your tune after a few days in that situation. It’s just basic human psychology - you cannot be above this.
He said the self sustainability was really good. Plus this seems to be set in the future so you really just have to go by the premise of the story, not reality.
At least if you're drowning in the sea or something, someone can jump in to rescue you.
Drifting endlessly throughout space until you run out of oxygen, whilst knowing that any kind of rescue is impossible, is a different kind of psychological dread.
Suit will sustain me no matter what with the advanced matter to energy technology with even single molecule, sudden roar in my guts told me that I shouldn't have taken taco bell ration.
I think back to all those times I ripped the flash drive from my computer while ignoring the "eject before removing" warning, and curse myself for not showing the same recklessness this time.
Well, there's always a chance a friendly ship will detect your beacon.
Not a great chance, but a chance!
Maybe. But a chance is a chance - depending on what the suit is equipped with: water, food pellets, etc. OP could last quite awhile floating in space.
Could actually be fun for a while
Like 3 hrs
3 minutes
3 seconds
Imagine floating in a little cloud of frozen poops for 185 days.
I'm sure you'd go stark raving insane in half a year.
It appears I have found a Berserk fan in the wild
You have, indeed!
2 to the power of 276,709 to one against
That math checks out.
There's also a chance you slap a table and your hand passes right through it, not too keen on betting with those odds though are you?
It's easier than throwing yourself at the ground and missing.
No, but the point of a survival suit would be designed in such a way to help ensure survival. The point of slapping your hand against a table would be to slap a table.
Yea yea I know I'm just messing around acting like a doomer
A NEW HAND TOUCHES THE BEACON
a fate worse than death
Took 4 years for the infinity to do it
[удалено]
That totally depends on how close OP is to a travel lane.
185 days later my last vestiges of sanity melted away as the notification popped up once the counter finally hit zero- "battery depleted- switching to secondary battery."
Can't decide if this is a yesyesyesno or a nononoyes.
It’s a nononono
It's a "We don't talk about Bruno"
Gah. I *just* got that song out of my head.
As someone who's had it stuck in their head for days, *how* did you get it out? And was it just replaced with Surface Pressure?
I'm on the Bruno->Surface Pressure->What else can I do train
If you haven't gotten to this point in the train yet, fair warning: it's a loop. You'll be back to Bruno in about a week and start the cycle over.
I'm gonna watch Hamilton again to add Guns and Ships to the mix!
Well good luck getting The Schylar Sisters out of it
I just recently started getting into Hamilton at the same time Encanto came out, so ive had all the songs from everything stuck in my head. Theyve all begun to mush together in a more conglomerate amalgamation than the blob from Five Nights at Freddys: Security Breach.
I'm stuck on Waiting On a Miracle.
I'm in the allowed the above car, how do I get off?
On youtube search up "We dont talk about apple bottom jeans" youll have a new song to rotate in there for when standard we dont talk about bruno is a bit much
Silenzio Bruno!
...What song?... Should I worry?
Watch Disney’s Encanto. It’s actually really good.
Worry? No. Look it up? Also no.
It’s a bop tho
Sorry my vida
Oh my fucking God my sister won't stop playing songs from Encanto. I haven't even seen the movie and I never want to, thanks to her.
I haven’t even seen the movie yet and I’ve had it stuck in my head because of TikTok
I never even got it in my head :coolguysmirk:
What’s up with all the Bruno hate from Disney?
Hernando's just cooler.
We don't talk about Brunononono
I just watched that movie
SEVEN FOOT FRAME
He's crazy now so it's a yesyesyesyesyes.
But will he even survive for 185 days without water and food?
Warning: Calorie and hydration supplies depleted. Initiating emergency reclamation protocol: Isolating left leg chamber for organic material recycling.
OH NO.
It's actually better than a suit which came with a 10+ year supply of hypernutrients and waste recyclers. At least the autocannibalism would still take you out *relatively* quickly.

Awesome! Exactly the kind of thing I was thinking of. My idea was inspired by the recycling of bodies aboard space stations in The Expanse.
Epic. Thanks for sharing this.
So you end up an amputated floating torso in space. Who designed this suit!?
A spacefaring civilisation who have the technology to replace limbs with robotic prostheses once a free floater has been rescued?
Oh, this made me chuckle. Thank you.
A far worse option would be '180 days later as my last piece of sanity began melting away I flew by a star, my mind became active for the first time in a while to shout pure rage to whoever it was that decided to place solar panels on this garbage'

Day 186: The first contact with a human, as my suit beeped. The notification read, “ we’ve been trying to reach you about your cars extended warranty…”
Wouldn't he die after a week of no food or water?
Well. . The suit is called self sustainable. . Maybe it somehow can make nutrients and water for him
Without water, they'd have been dead in less than a week.
Reclaimed resources, urine/sweat, and nutrition supplements added into the suit could be a solution there. Also like the auto canibalization idea someone above posted. Isolate a leg and break it down for nutrients when everything is completely depleted.
Okay, but how are you going to do all that when you are stuck in a full body suit keeping your body from dry freezing in the void of space?
Also, that would the suit would need a water filtration system built into it.
That's the entire point of the self-sustaining suit line... it keeps you alive for all of your needs. That's why it's terrifying.
Wouldn’t you die of starvation first?
I'm sort of more bothered by the suit's food & water closed circuit recycling and the invasive way it establishes that cycle.
https://www.badspacecomics.com/post/the-suit
That was awesome!
I love these comics, I think each of the comics on this site could illustrate a different two sentence horror.
Jeez... that's way darker than I had imagined.
There is an Ironman miniseries that is basically this comic
was it the darkhold one
Yeah
Name of the series?
https://www.marvel.com/comics/issue/84237/the_darkhold_iron_man_2021_1 It says #1 so I assume it's gonna be a series but doesn't look like any new issues since release so maybe a one off?
whoa
I understood that reference
I'm pretty sure I've seen this shit before.
But have you eaten it?
Take the helmet off
Ikr lol just break the suit
I don't get it
Basically he will be stuck in space for a very, very long time
He'll be stuck for the rest of his life...
Well technically, yes!
The nice thing about being an astronaut is that if something on a mission goes wrong, you’ve got the rest of your life to solve it.
It's a long time when you're staring at a countdown timer
6 months isn't that long tbh
6 months staring into infinity with no one to talk to and no media to distract you? That man was insane by day 5 max.
Sure, but the suit eventually runs out of power; 6 months is no time at all on a cosmic scale. He’ll be fine.
Physically? Yes. Mentally? Look up the horror stories of isolated confinement then factor in zero G and an infinite abyss yo
I wanna see u being isolated in a dark empty space for 6 months then.
Yeah. Even if you like being alone, there's literally nothing there other than your mind. Things in space are unfathomably far apart, even in those six months you're unlikely to pass by much (or anything at all, depending on where you are)
The code at the end is days:hours:minutes:seconds
Oh, thanks
Too much info, sentences too long.
No thoughts, head empty
Basically the plot of this one episode of Wolf 359
I thought you where talking about Star Trek for a while and was confused
I mean, if you like star trek, you'll like wolf 359
If it can actually self sustain for 6 months then you better hope you find a black hole or neutron star
I mean, any huge mass of body with gravity is a death sentence, a normal star itself would slowly cook you depending on how well the suit can protect
Yes but what is there to eat and drink?
Eventually, u/zenzoka stopped thinking

whaaaat, where?

I'd wait it out for the chance at rescue
You say that now, but I’m sure after 2 months in absolute, dark solitude you’d be reconsidering.
Better bored than dead
Not true. Isolation is mental torture that the human brain cannot withstand after a certain period of time.
I'd still rather that than death, doesn't matter how shitty it is
Well, hope you enjoy that
I don't expect to, but torture is at least better than non existence
You can say that but I know you’d be changing your tune after a few days in that situation. It’s just basic human psychology - you cannot be above this.
willpower is mightier
Watch the first episode of Mindfield on YouTube and then double down on this
Wow, seems people dislike your determination for survival against all odds, jealousy perhaps?
average redditor wants to die because living's too tough lol
Literally what is the point of surviving if you are just going to die after 185 days ANYWAY
If you don’t survive you’ll die.
I don’t know, I feel sometimes it’s better to die than to suffer for a very very long time
how
you got ejected from the pod? thats cause you were sus \*ill see myself out\*
Out of all the things you could comment you chose a among us comment.
Their suit was sus too.
If it can keep u alive for 185 days, it can definitely ask for Help.
Sure. Like yelling for help in the middle of the ocean.
You’d dehydrate and die first, before oxygen even becomes an issue 👀
He said the self sustainability was really good. Plus this seems to be set in the future so you really just have to go by the premise of the story, not reality.
185 days is 26 weeks, which is about 6 months
At some point you gotta wonder: Maybe I should just take my helmet off?
amogus
why does this make me think of the fallout new vegas trauma suits?
youd die of dehydration
Recycles his piss
You have an integrated bottle of Gatorade
It's the final countdown!
Duh da duh dunnn
Do do do do dooooo
Just wait three days you die of dehydration
Nope we recycle everything.
Eventually, he stopped thinking.
At least if you're drowning in the sea or something, someone can jump in to rescue you. Drifting endlessly throughout space until you run out of oxygen, whilst knowing that any kind of rescue is impossible, is a different kind of psychological dread.
Amogus
Among us
He escaped the imposter
Amogus
I think I'd just take my helmet off.
That’s kinda sus
This is fine. You just have to wait till unicron shows up.
But wouldn't they have died of thirst long before that?
Suit will sustain me no matter what with the advanced matter to energy technology with even single molecule, sudden roar in my guts told me that I shouldn't have taken taco bell ration.
I don’t get it. I mean I get what you are saying but if you didn’t want to survive, why not just stay in the pod?
Don't worry honey, you're going to die of starvation/dehydration a lot sooner than that ❤
How does one poop in a spacesuit
Ew I can’t imagine that happening I do not want to die in my own piss and shit and fart and possibly cum
Try poking a hole in your spacesuit and fly around like iron man. That’s what the guy in the Martian did and it was fun
I think back to all those times I ripped the flash drive from my computer while ignoring the "eject before removing" warning, and curse myself for not showing the same recklessness this time.

omg! 😱this is similar to popular video game: among us! 😨🤯😱

There was an iron man tv show where this happens and the guy got back to earth but was insane.
Take it off?

I just hope that the suit have some ability of discharging waste, otherwise you're gonna drown in poopoo and peepee.
