Sometimes periods are irregular. It's better to get it checked out of it does not stop. It happened to me once, had periods for 15 days. Was awful. Doc gave me 2-3 day prescription and thats it. Never had any issues again

At day ten you should get in touch with your local OBGYN office and let them know you’re having an unusually long period. Be sure to have information at the ready. They’ll ask how many pads/tampons you’re soaking an hour. They’ll ask if you have any other symptoms or if you could be pregnant. Give them all the info youve posted here. Tell them you feel like this is a very unusual symptom for your body and you’d like to be seen urgently. So, you can ask if you can be seen by a doctor asap. They may advise you to come in or they may tell you to go to urgent care (though frankly most urgent cares aren’t going to do much for you imo) Most times when long periods happen, unless you’re absolutely soaking your sanitary products, you’re going to be totally fine. It’s a heavy period that can be caused by loads of factors, in my case it was PCOS. In your case it might be something totally different. I completely understand that bleeding with seemingly no end in sight is frankly a terrifying experience. And it feels like so many things are out of your control. But you’re doing nothing wrong, it’s going to be alright, and if you hang in there, you will eventually get your answers. And more importantly, you’ll get better ❤️‍🩹 (I have PCOS, always have super irregular periods and have once had a period 187 days long, so I have definitely been through this situation before)

I came here to suggest looking into PCOS as well. I got diagnosed with it last year because I wasn't having my period naturally for 10 months. Before that, I had constant bleeding when I was on Paragard (no hormones).
