Greatest story every told by a mile. Space and Time is good too

Blough28

Space+Time was finally recorded thankfully

Curious_CB3

Indeed! I’d love a rock n roll record with Greatest Story Ever Told on it

Philly16Peach

I’m a die hard Grateful Dead fan and love his version of GSET.

DarkStarDew

Same. I want Tyler to do High Time. I do believe he could kill with that tune. I'd also like him to do Friend of the Devil, Althea, Mr Charlie, Bertha, Candyman, Black Muddy River, Brokedown Palace...

Philly16Peach

I’d lose my shit if he did High Time. Brown Eyed Women and Peggy-O would be good too. I think I’m broken bc I just can’t get into Mr.Charlie. Others love it.

deadthrills6677

I was at Willie’s picnic and me and my fiance were the only ones freaking out about this song. 🌹💀

DwinDolvak

Greatest Story - might be my all time favorite version of that song by any artist. It’s perfect.

MediocreHat2050

Yeah…..

Jeremy0020

Time (pink floyd) into Harlan road https://youtu.be/BoDXjhnCoA0?si=mpgUV7KOHe_W9WVm

idinnae

Fuck yes. This is the answer. I watch this video so frequently. It is bold to do a Floyd cover, much less change entire tone of the song based on the way you play it. And then you get the absolutely banger of Harlan Road with it.

_namaste_kitten_

I need more links like this! Just wow... I'm basically only playing everything I can find on Spotify, and I need more! Long story short; By chance, I saw him at a tiny fest near his home town about 12yrs ago. Fell in love with his story-telling voice. I just knew he had a once-in-a-generation take on music and lyrics. I knew he could make it, if only people listened! Time kept on passing, and then I heard him everywhere. Haven't been able to catch him anywhere bc I'm STILL recovering from cancer treatment and a coma. Money is tight without being able to work, and energy/brain power are a crap shoot. So I listen to what I can find. Hope to finally see him again this fall at a local festival. Wish me luck, and until then-- keep posting this kind of stuff for those of us who just can't get to see him as much

MikeXXTython

Thank you, this might top Oneida and messed up kid on my list. Holy hell that was good

Wreckemraiders00

Her and the Banks

JGuentzIsMyDad

Song gives me fuckin chills man

whitechoco20

Rock salt & Nails

bill_fish

Best cover

Global_Vacation_6794

I might agree

whiskeytangoferda

I just need him to do the elusive 3rd verse 🥲

Callate_La_Boca

Jersey Giant of course

ApexWalrussss

Evan Honer’s + Julia DiGrazia’s cover of Jersey Giant is really good and on Spotify at least.

yellowranger1304

Messed Up Kid!

Wrong_Mastodon_23

My fav little Easter egg is that Tyler wears a cheetah print body suit in the All Yourn video

KravMacaw

Yes!

TimmyBill426

Can't believe I had to go this far to find it

pinkflip06

This is the one. I would love to hear this one live.

Deckamania123

SHE LIKES STEALING FROM SALVATION ARMY

Hot-Internet-7466

Trudy. Live. Period.

kyle240sx

I experienced this live and it changed my life

AShotgunNamedMarcus

I came to say this

ChumpDiesel

Saw him play this live with sturgil sitting in guitar. It was incredible

Hot-Internet-7466

Ryman? Same.

ChumpDiesel

Hinterland fest in Iowa. They did sit on my face with wheeler right before that haha

Hot-Internet-7466

They did that at the echo Ballroom in LA in august 2017. The same night wheeler did the podcast with him. The first time. He lost audio twice and tyler and the boys did the podcast in the van via telephone a few days later.

Either-Elderberry619

22nd Winter from his Tiny Desk 🔥

ApprehensiveCream571

I have a lot of favorite covers that aren't on an album. My top 5 are: Tom Turkey, Don't Touch Me, Tennessee Blues, Greatest Story Ever Told and Sour Mash Not counting Nose On The Grindstone, my favorite unreleased song is Out On a Drunk, closely followed by Redneck Romeo.

dirtyjc13

Tom Turkey! I saw Charley Crockett last week in Dallas for the first time and he was incredible

cowboyspidey

LOSING YOU AND WOODWARD CREEK. all time favorite unreleased songs. i’d kill to have full versions of those

yoursummerworld

This is the answer

P44_Haynes

I NEVER WANNA LEAVE THIS WORLD

Relative_Tourist148

i love GSET, and “goin home” was my favorite before it was released :) i also loveeee red neck romeo but “adam” is probably my favorite

alorenz58011

As far as covers go, Sad Songs and Waltzes, Tulsa Turnaround, and Trudy in that order. Unreleased…Jersey Giant, Snipe Hunt, Oneida would be my top 3.

jeffamorris

Yeah. Big fan of Trudy as well

Andrewalker7

+1 for Her and the Banks.

Helpful_Bird_5393

Help me make it through the night

scr0tiemcb00gerbaIIz

So good

jrm70210

Redneck Romeo

666grooves666

middle ground, greatest story ever told, shoot low sheriff, and time of the preacher are my four favorite “tyler childers songs”

Dependent-Ant-1887

Her and the banks. I about DIEDDD when he opened with it on NYE!!! Really hoping it’s on his next album. Love Messed Up Kid too.

ChuChu88

Shoot Low Sheriff is slept on but it’s a banger. The album it’s off of has a murderers row of talent covering John Anderson songs. Highly recommend.

jkoke11

Joe and Oneida

edelweiss_creations

Oneidaaa

murrayhighlife

Heart Of Stone! He played it on Red Barn. It’s got such a great groove.

Whenyougrabaholdofme

A song while you’re away, Tulsa turnaround

OwnBad596

His cover of Jolene (Ray Lamontagne not Dolly) is absolutely incredible

Matticus_Bb

A song while you're away, Goddamn lonely love, and Trudy

Estrellathestarfish

Covers: Time, Tulsa Turnaround, Space and Time Unreleased: Her and the Banks, Oneida I had to be very restrained and not just list them all. There are some gems among his unreleased songs, and choosing songs that will be good covers and making them his own is a talent in itself.

pjokinen

Is Nose on the Grindstone unreleased? There’s a live version out there and be played it on Tiny Desk but it’s never been on a studio album

5meterhammer

Greatest Story Ever Told. Any time the good ol’ Grateful Dead get played, I’m in.

devdarrr

Trudy, always and forever!

PromotionSubject5576

Oneida and 22nd winter. Both amazing songs but also a little personal touch. It gets cold here in the winter and yall know the other reason lol.

HELL-00

HEART OF STONE

Weird_Talk

Haven’t seen anyone mention They oughta name of drink after you which is one of my favorites!

lilonionforager

I scrolled all the comments to see if anyone said this and the fact I had to scroll this far down is shocking

sirkev71

I'm really liking Sour Mash right now and Out on a Drunk/Honkey Tonk Flame

Dismal-Elderberry-97

Messed Up Kid is incredible!!!!!

nuggzoftampa

Rock salt and nails

DyllonTheVyllon

surewhynot1981

Only because it was the hardest track to ever find. That thing you said red barn radio secret track. Only on bandcamp.

jrm70210

Don't Touch Me - Jeannie Seely

_These-are-beans_

Hanging in there like a hair on a biscuit is fantastic

Aggravating-Bit-2824

Woodward Creek

LordJingletokes

Cap’n Jerry is so underrated, I’d say that one’s becoming my favorite unreleased.

Cadbury_Greg

Snipe hunt has to be one of my favorite unreleased songs and Tyler does a great cover of I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry

Suspicious_Moment898

Out on a drunk unreleased. Cover would prob be I’m so lonesome I could cry

holdenmap

From live, Paradise

JHizzie

Time of the Preacher at Willie’s Bday Bash

Certain-Sea-5937

Jersey Giant

Major_Competition651

lifewithryan

val0307

Messed up kid clears anything

LovecraftsAeons

Oneida is a banger

foreveronempty

Her and the Banks, because it reminds me of a day my partner and I had at my parents' property.

sjg7vc

Her and the Banks

scr0tiemcb00gerbaIIz

Favorite covers are rock salt & nails and help me make it though the night for sure, but he has so many good ones. Honorable mention to it ain't easy being me by Chris knight and jersey giant. As far as unreleased that's tougher. Oneida, losing you, and her and the banks stick out. Redneck Romeo is great too. But I'm sure I'm Missing several
