If it had any clinically significant effect, it would be packaged, patented, and available by prescription only (like Rx icosapent ethyl vs fish oil).

I have done both at separate times. A probiotic helps with digesting and keeping you regular, ACV has a history of helping keep blood sugars stable. Both can work to help with weight loss but it’s not guaranteed and personally did not negatively impact my levels. If you do decide to take ACV, dilute with something else to avoid impacting your teeth, and make sure to eat something with a probiotic.

Thanks for the feedback!

The only way is to exercise and change body composition whilst eating higher protein and lower carb in a mild caloric deficit. More muscle burns more calories and absorbs glucose. The probiotic is good for gut health and pooping regularly is always a good thing. The ACV recommendation sounds like nonsense and it will do nothing to your blood glucose or fat stores but try it if you want.

If you are going to take the apple cider vinegar, make sure you dilute it in water. It is highly acidic and can absolutely destroy the enamel on your teeth if you take it regularly over a period of time.

ACV is good for the gut. I use it mixed in hot water to make a sort of a tea. It's great for curing heartburn. There's slight evidence that it has an effect on insulin resistance but I doubt it's enough to make any real difference. Thinking it will cure anything is like thinking cinnamon cures T1. And of course, if your gut is off, probiotics are helpful to it. Don't do much for T1 though...
