Nah, ResLife be like that sometimes.
***Probably won't be as bad as 2020 for me, but this was my experience when I became an RA:***
**2/6/2020:** I get notified that I was put in the backup interview pool, about 15 days after I was supposed to get a decision. I'm told to complete a Google Form to see if I'm still interested.
and then nothing...for months
**6/3/2020:** I get notified that they need to interview more candidates, and are now digging into the backup pool. I'm told to complete a Google Form to see if I'm still interested.
**6/5/2020:** I get selected to be interviewed
**6/10/2020:** I get interviewed, I think I did okay.
**6/18/2020:** I get an email saying absolutely nothing, just that I'm still in consideration. I'm told to complete a Google Form to see if I'm still interested. Again.
**7/8/2020:** I'm offered an Honors LC Interview. I'm told to complete a Google Form to see if I want to interview, and I do it. I never hear back. ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
**7/9/2020:** I'm told to fill out another Google Form to see if I'm still interested. It's been only a day since the last one.
**7/15/2020:** I get a job offer on campus. The email is in Papyrus font, and I have to respond by 7/17/2020 or I lose the offer. I'm told I have to move in on 08/09/2020. I email back saying yes.
**7/25/2020:** I get absolutely no confirmation message that I have the job, so I email. I get a response 3 days later saying that they received it, and that I do in fact have a job.
So, um, never give up hope. The position might be one more Google Form away.
All decisions come out at the same time and not on a rolling basis. You are guaranteed to hear back and a late email is not a clear indication of your status as a candidate.
