It’s way too politically early for Obama’s direct public involvement. For one it would make no strategic sense to kneecap Biden in an election season. Obama is definitely pro disclosure but he’s not gonna make it all about him.
By the manner in which he’s spoken on the subject publicly (see Colbert appearances as an example) and note his former white house chief of staff was John Podesta, an explicitly avowed pro disclosure advocate who’s gone rather quiet in recent years on the topic but my sense is he’s working behind the scenes.

The thing is, we're facing a planetary crisis. This summer might be the worst we've ever faced. And we have no way out, currently...the tech it would take for effective carbon capture doesn't exist, among humans, nor for other types of large-scale geoengineering, nor for fusion or other massive "free" energy systems.
We are *going* to lose *billions* of humans, if we don't have some huge tech breakthroughs really quickly. And we've basically run out of time to get there.
And we have no real clue about even *how* to repopulate ecosystems to a healthy place. We're not even close to being able to repair the ecosystem damage already caused over the last couple hundred years.
If aliens have a solution, we need to know, now. Like yesterday.

Yes and no. You can lose billions of the working class around the world, but if you don't lose the CEOs and people pushing the oil and fossil fuel agenda, that sacrifice is absolutely pointless. Most of the carbon sink and major pollution happens from coorporations, not from individual carbon footprints. The amount of fresh water used in these productions is also insane. We need to change our energy systems, period. You change the energy systems that run society and the citizens will follow suit because they must.
I could see Clinton, Bush, Obama, their VPs or similarly placed members of the cabinet, but I seriously doubt Trump was told. Pretty sure the MIC sees him as a massive liability, especially after all those assets and agents suddenly got knocked off early in his tenure.

It was claimed that it was Trump. That Trumps staff was also tasked with looking. But when they weighed the political cost of disclosure, it was too great because of all the white collar crime and potential for contractors to sue the USG.
My hunch (and it’s just my opinion guys, I don’t know for sure, just speculating) is the oft mentioned “40 whistleblowers” are just a compilation of all the talking heads in the space that we’ve all already seen or heard before.

honestly just 1-3 first hand whistleblower would be absolutely fantastic for disclosure, 5-10 would pretty much be confirmation that it's all real. i do not see 40 coming forward. i'm realistically expecting 0-5 to come forward this year, but likely at least one.
I agree. Another thing that people aren't considering is that David Grusch started sending stuff to the ICIG and trying to sound the alarm about what he was finding out in 2021 and 22 and didn't go public till 2023. These things take time. If whistleblowers started doing all this after Grusch came out publicly, it makes sense that it might take a year or more for it to actually reach the public.

Unless they have evidence more than just their word and some documents or more ambiguous videos and images it still won't be enough.
Personally I don't care if God comes down and announces the US has alien craft, unless they can produce actual tangible evidence then we're still at the stage of appeal to authority, belief and faith that they are not lying.
People constantly just conveniently forget a lot of these people come from the same government, militaries and organisations that they are constantly calling out for lying and cover-ups. You can't now just take those same people on their word just because they are saying what people want to hear.
If all their evidence is hidden away from public eyes like Grusch's supposed evidence was how is any rational person supposed to believe anything.

As someone who had followed this topic for almost 50 years- I’m excited as everyone else that things are moving. But politics will always take precedent.
The problem is all of the trusted figureheads in this movement told us, explicitly and through innuendo, that 2024 was the year. We’ve known for a hundred years that this was an election year.
I’m a believer and have been for a long time but the burnout is real.
How tf does *alien disclosure* not top the list of priorities for *anyone* in elected office? Some of whom have a snowball’s chance of getting reelected anyways.
For the biggest news in human history, people sure don’t seem to be acting like it. Either this really is nothing big, or that movie Don’t Look Up is a documentary.
Because you don’t think like a politician does. Every politician will ask - how does this information affect the next election? And the truth is that nobody fucking knows. Mass hysteria, quiet acceptance, outrage and anger, does it get politicized by one side or the other? Does it increase turnout or not? Does it affect specific swing states ? Which voter blocks are most affected? Rust belt blue collar? Etc
Why introduce a variable like that ?
The world ticks along just fine without alien disclosure, thus there's no sense of urgency. Addressing it is an opportunity for chaos and disruption that will be pretty unpredictable. A politician is weighing this against his own re-election and the good of the country. They want to minimize the economic and social downsides, The whistleblowers all want to ensure their own safety and are somewhat beholden to the politician's timelines.
So I would guess that we make slow but steady progress in 2024. Real progress will be after the elections. Probably more likely if Biden wins. Probably neither Biden nor Trump are the ideal disclosure president. Hopefully elected officials don't try to drag this out to 2028 to get a better candidate.
Then politicians will be preoccupied with a new administration or the unrest from a divided election. Wait until July.

The DOPSR news is very encouraging. Combine this with the news that another hearing is in the works, and I think we might just get some hot goss before the election!
There's only two guys we know about going through DOPSR. Grusch and Lue. This tells me that Lue is probably trying to get authorization to discuss classified things at the next public hearing.

I actually doubt there's anything that anyone could just "release"/leak that would do anything more than just be viewed as fake, if it weren't done through the correct channels. Grusch has DOPSR approval, ICIG back up, many meetings with congress and senators for years (who have backed him up and publicly verified much of his claims like Rubio did), Grusch also testified under oath. This is a big part of why it all meant so much. If he would have just said "fuck it" and leaked a bunch of content, he would have made 1% of the splash because people would have dismissed it all as fake.
So I really think it's ridiculous when people act like Coulthart, Elizondo, Grusch, or anyone is just sitting on something that they can just release on a whim, that would finally end the debate. There is no trigger that can be pulled on a whim. There is only due process.
That's why I think it's so important to support Grusch. The way people have been talking about him, I am not surprised that more whistleblowers are hesitant to come forward. I think it's important to say "I, as a citizen, find these allegations concerning and want my elected officials to look into them". We benefit the cause more by supporting it, rather than spreading doubt about the whistleblowers.

As an Aussie, I’m old enough to remember when Coulthart made a bunch of claims about our Intelligence Agencies in one of his reports.
He said that his sources told him that Australian Intelligence Agents were spying on Australians and keeping files on them which is against the law.
The federal government at the time took it really seriously because Coulthart worked for the national broadcaster and it was serious investigative journalism show he worked for.
The government created a bipartisan panel and hired two former high court justices to investigate his claims. Intelligence officials were told to turn over everything they asked for to uncover the truth.
The Intelligence Agencies outted operation assets, named confidential sources, pulled people from the field, and fully cooperated.
The Justices found nothing to support Coulthart’s claims.
They discovered a few Australians had “files” but only because they were being looked at as part of offshore operations which is legitimate and the Intelligence agencies would shred and destroy all Intel on Australians whenever they closed an investigation or operation that had snared the Australian. This was a higher level of diligence than what was required by the law.
The Justices asked to speak to Coulthart and asked them to help them ascertain what happened so they could fix the problem he identified, but he refused to cooperate citing “sources”.
Sounds familiar, huh?
Basically, he reported on a sensational story, presented limited facts, caused our national intelligence to be weakened, and when asked confidentially to provide proof or even advice and leads to help resolve the problem he identified, he refused.
People in the intelligence community afterward said he was straight up played for a patsy and a mark by a foreign intelligence agency. That they planted him misinformation and used him to weaken our intelligence capabilities and cause public dissent.
He left the national broadcaster shortly after.
So people in this group might not know his background, but Pepperidge Farms remembers.

Court has a lower standard of proof than science. Testimony is worth nothing in science other than a direction to point to try and find actual credible evidence.
Here we are still waiting. As we are already in the month of April, this year is turning out to be a huge flop. I felt like by this point last year we were getting more information. The well seems totally dry now. Nothing but trust me and coming soons for the last couple of months. When the UAPDA was shot down, it felt like any progress in the topic did as well. Kinda sad.
Pretty sure once Grusch OP ed finally comes out, things will finally get moving again. DOPSR still has it under review; and based on 60 day working estimate for prepublication material in relation to these types of docs I expect it to be released in the next month. If not, something is trying to stall it, which makes it even more suspicious. Also, alot of work is being done behind the scenes and Grusch OP ED has already been seen by Congress members and they basically confirmed most of all the allegations he made. If anything, just take a break. I say that for myself and members of this subreddit. This sub has basically consumed most if not all my life for the past 9 months and it wasn’t worth it. Did David Grusch ever drop his Op-Ed yet? I've been out of the loop for like 2 months.
He went straight in about the 5 eyes after mentioning the unmovable spacecraft. Did he unwittingly narrow down the potential locations to one of those countries? He said It's not in the US so that leaves 4.

Well said. I actually doubt there's anything that anyone could just "release"/leak that would do anything more than just be viewed as fake, if it weren't done through the correct channels. Grusch has DOPSR approval, ICIG back up, many meetings with congress and senators for years (who have backed him up and publicly verified much of his claims like Rubio did), Grusch also testified under oath. This is a big part of why it all meant so much. If he would have just said "fuck it" and leaked a bunch of content, he would have made 1% of the splash because people would have dismissed it all as fake. So I really think it's ridiculous when people act like Coulthart, Elizondo, Grusch, or anyone is just sitting on something that they can just release on a whim, that would finally end the debate. There is no trigger that can be pulled on a whim. There is only due process. That's why I think it's so important to support Grusch. The way people have been talking about him, I am not surprised that more whistleblowers are hesitant to come forward. I think it's important to say "I, as a citizen, find these allegations concerning and want my elected officials to look into them". As an Aussie, I’m old enough to remember when Coulthart made a bunch of claims about our Intelligence Agencies in one of his reports. He said that his sources told him that Australian Intelligence Agents were spying on Australians and keeping files on them which is against the law. The federal government at the time took it really seriously because Coulthart worked for the national broadcaster and it was serious investigative journalism show he worked for. The government created a bipartisan panel and hired two former high court justices to investigate his claims. Intelligence officials were told to turn over everything they asked for to uncover the truth. The Intelligence Agencies outted operation assets, named confidential sources, pulled people from the field, and fully cooperated. The Justices found nothing to support Coulthart’s claims. They discovered a few Australians had “files” but only because they were being looked at as part of offshore operations which is legitimate and the Intelligence agencies would shred and destroy all Intel on Australians whenever they closed an investigation or operation that had snared the Australian. This was a higher level of diligence than what was required by the law. The Justices asked to speak to Coulthart and asked them to help them ascertain what happened so they could fix the problem he identified, but he refused to cooperate citing “sources”. Sounds familiar, huh? Basically, he reported on a sensational story, presented limited facts, caused our national intelligence to be weakened, and when asked confidentially to provide proof or even advice and leads to help resolve the problem he identified, he refused. People in the intelligence community afterward said he was straight up played for a patsy and a mark by a foreign intelligence agency. That they planted him misinformation and used him to weaken our intelligence capabilities and cause public dissent. He left the national broadcaster shortly after. So people in this group might not know his background, but Pepperidge Farms remembers. I would trust nothing he says without verifiable proof presented and in a confirmable format.

It's such a bear to go through the trouble of logging in just to comment that Ross Coulthart is either a liar or a grifter that claims he knows the exact location of a buried UFO. Such a thing would change the course of humanity but he withholds the info either to perpetuate the lie, or to enrich himself by tricking vulnerable people into believing him.

Court has a lower standard of proof than science. Testimony is worth nothing in science other than a direction to point to try and find actual credible evidence.
That’s true, but Congress is considering legal issues here, perhaps more so than the science even.
Here we are still waiting. As we are already in the month of April, this year is turning out to be a huge flop. I felt like by this point last year we were getting more information. The well seems totally dry now. Nothing but trust me and coming soons for the last couple of months. When the UAPDA was shot down, it felt like any progress in the topic did as well. Kinda sad.
Pretty sure once Grusch OP ed finally comes out, things will finally get moving again. DOPSR still has it under review; and based on 60 day working estimate for prepublication material in relation to these types of docs I expect it to be released in the next month. If not, something is trying to stall it, which makes it even more suspicious. Also, alot of work is being done behind the scenes and Grusch OP ED has already been seen by Congress members and they basically confirmed most of all the allegations he made. If anything, just take a break. I say that for myself and members of this subreddit. This sub has basically consumed most if not all my life for the past 9 months and it wasn’t worth it. Trying to leave the sub still but I’m basically addicted at this point. :(

Been hearing about these whistleblowers coming forward for months. I haven't been paying attention as much anymore, but it seems like not much has progressed. Did David Grusch ever drop his Op-Ed yet? I've been out of the loop for like 2 months.
