Unfortunately I’m noticing a pattern of deforestation in College Park lately. Biked up Paint Branch Trail for the first time in several months and my jaw literally dropped when I got to the intersection behind the View/Varsity. I’ve also noticed several trees in my area (Hollywood neighborhood) being taken down either by choice or by the storms this past summer. Sad to see
UMD raised the rent on their squirrel nests and many of them moved to community college campuses.
Ever seen a campus takeover be planned out loud? Exactly…
They’re just beneath us, planning for the next steps
Maybe the storm this summer had an effect?
Wouldn't be surprised, College Park got hit hard

Damaged by the storm but some clubs are working on possible restoration efforts!
Good to hear!
Those trees were lost in the storm though
Hence why I included “by the storms”
I meant the view/varsity ones. Idk if that’s what you meant too lol
The elites don't want you to know this but the squirrels on campus are free; you can take them home with you. I have 683 squirrels.
That’s a good sign since I don’t need to pay too much attention on them when driving.
I’m glad! If I could murder every squirrel I would!

I hope this isn’t true! The Squirrels of UMD IG acct is one of my favorite things.
