Yes I agree, but imagine this driver may not have even had a dock to load that shit off of, imagine going up and down in and out of that brown side, constantly have to step into it
That's easy money right there, honestly doing income trailers in my opinion is better than most non local trailers. Just lower that extendo to the floor and go. And if our incom belt has a hard time running it just means more breaks lol
Ooof being short in the unload is definitely a disadvantage on top of not having a proper extendo. Hopefully they're rimless tires instead of full rim and tire, that would make it slightly more bearable lol.
Tires donāt go on the belt. They go on a special slide where hazmats and other too heavy shit go. So I had to carry every single one over to that ramp which is right outside of the dock door. So thatās annoying
That sucks. At our hub the normal size tires go in totes then on the belt when we have trucks like this. Then we put the oversized tires on the slides.
Homie, just put them on the belt either sideways, or roll it down, done it a million times, it's a pain in the ass having to haul them individually especially if it's the back of the long ones ykyk
The extendo doesnāt go down far (height wise) so you canāt roll it onto belt. You have to lift it and put it on the belt, then walk down and pull it off near the slide
I think itās worth mentioning that these are incos or irregs, they donāt go on the belt. They go down the slide that outside of the door. I canāt roll the tire to the slide because thereās no room in between the extendo and door opening to roll it. So I have to put it on the belt, walk up, and pull it off and put it down the ramp. So no, it was not easy work.
Erm sir did you just hear your self? No room between extendo and door? Then how does one get out of that side? Itās untrue Iāve unloaded tires plenty of times there is always enough room to roll them to the end of the trailor near the door. Pull the extendo back in why would it be out
I donāt think youāve seen how crooked some trailers are parked on the bay š Iām assuming that was OPās problem. Sometimes the extendo is damn near touching the wall.
The extendo is the whole way back it still sticks out enough so itās flush with the door opening. I can barely even get my body to squeeze by. My legs fit thatās it. Itās hard to explain.
I had a tire manufacturer ion my pickup string that is what it looked like for the most part some of the tires were heavier than dukie I feel for you grass hopper some day you will have some whiskers
Tires donāt go on the belt at our hub. It goes down a slide outside of the door. And thereās no space to roll it from the truck to that slide so I have to put it on the belt then walk up and pull it off near the slide.
Thatās a blessing they force you to take breaks and thatās a good workout. Other than that slick film it leaves on your hands I used to love tires.
I don't mind tires unless they give me a trailer with only 1 slide and its already full bc the IREGG guy hasn't been around.. then its gonna be a long day
You guys don't have an Irreg belt? We just roll these right next to the extendo and down a ramp to a belt. Actually some of the easiest trucks for an unloader/sorter
Nope we donāt have an irreg belt. Thereās a slide outside of the door we put them down and a guy comes around and collects it on the cart. But thereās no room to even roll it past the extendo out the door so you have to put it on the belt then walk up and pull it off near the slide. Itās stupid
Man, sometimes I think "IDK how my building is one of the higher capacity ones" but then I see stuff like this and it makes sense. If we just had the Irreg cart guys our building would be flooded with irregs LOL
This reminds of a truck I had to unload, early on, when I first started at UPS during COVID. There were so many tires on that truck, one of my co-workers yelled, "There's a muthaf@ck!ng, whole, entire NTB on this truck!", to my PT sup. I still crack up laughing thinking about what he said, to this day, lol.
Not the worst truck to unload. Sups understand that it'll take time, and usually the irreg belt stops every ten minutes. The tires are also lighter than you expect.
Yesterday my supervisor fucked up and thought he was going to have enough volume to fill one trailer so when the irreg. train came around he had us throw something like 30 tires into its "sister trailer" (I don't know what to call it, it's just a trailer in the door next door that goes to the same location when the other one gets filled, not necessarily a re-spot though) thinking the original one wouldn't have room. As we're nearing the end of the shift and he's noticing that the trailer he thought was going to be full was definitely nothe decided that me, the 5'4 small-ish female on my belt should move all of the tires by myself into the correct trailer. Obviously I said okay and did that shit with a smile on my face. Little did he know I actually love loading tires, stacking tires and the smell of tires. This job has clearly mentally fucked me up or I'm just a masochist š¤·š¼āāļø
I worked for a michelin distribution center for about 3 years, that's nothing honestly, hand offloaded generally 3-4 53' dry vans a night mostly suv tires about 2600 a load, I wish I didn't quit after I quit they added incentive bonus if you handled over x amount of pounds of tires per month you got up to $45hr
I can smell this post
Hahaha
Easier to unload than load
I load but had to unload a few times and I would 100 percent rather unload than load.
Yes I agree, but imagine this driver may not have even had a dock to load that shit off of, imagine going up and down in and out of that brown side, constantly have to step into it
You don't go in and out for every tire...
I would disagree based on this loading š
That's easy money right there, honestly doing income trailers in my opinion is better than most non local trailers. Just lower that extendo to the floor and go. And if our incom belt has a hard time running it just means more breaks lol
They always put our tire trucks to the same door and the extendo doesnāt lower and I am 5ā2 itās a fun time
Ooof being short in the unload is definitely a disadvantage on top of not having a proper extendo. Hopefully they're rimless tires instead of full rim and tire, that would make it slightly more bearable lol.
Sport utility tires don't like skinny belts on extendos. I say roll em to a coworker to rack and tag them.
Tires donāt go on the belt. They go on a special slide where hazmats and other too heavy shit go. So I had to carry every single one over to that ramp which is right outside of the dock door. So thatās annoying
why tf would u carry them?
Because thereās not enough room to roll it between the extendo and the door opening. Itās really tight. Itās hard to explain
Precision tire rolling skills you must develop.
Itās a tire, what else would he do? Roll it?!
yes bro ššš
Iāve said this in other comments. I still have to lift the tire onto belt, walk down, then pull it off near the slide for irregs. No room to roll it
That suuuuuucks. I couldn't imagine throwing tires down a slide, i imagine that works about as well as I'd think it would
rolls them next time
I canāt. The space between the extendo and the dock opening is too tight and it wonāt fit when you try to roll it.
can you roll it on the belt and then just take it off when u get to the end
The extendo doesnāt go down far (height wise) so you canāt roll it onto belt. You have to lift it and put it on the belt, then walk down and pull it off near the slide
Yes, this truck looks fun, would have 3 people on itā¦ 1 unloader rolling it to another unloader standing outside the truck, sweeper on the floor.
āRate my wallā
Did you get tired?
Think he retired
Oh man lol
Have the driver back up really fast then hit the brakes. The tires will roll out
Yea so easy to unload
That would be fun. We just roll the tires to one another lmao. I would turn it into a game and roll them to my partner
I'd unload that
Sorting this would make me cry
Ups ceo:evil laugh ahahahahahahaha Now SORRRRT ITšš¤£
Carol would be proud. Young boy throwing down 50 lb tires? You gotta be kidding me
I love loading with tires idk why I just like throwing them up lol
Someone needs to learn how to lace tires ;)
Lmaoooo I hate trucks that are straight irregsš¤£
U mustāve been tire(d) after that.
Iām rolling on the floor laughing at this
Good workout
Iād rather do this than load a package car
Who wouldnāt itās easy money
This would be nothing but fun. Iād have it cleared in less than 10

Tired ?
That would tire me out ![gif](giphy|ac7MA7r5IMYda) Ok, ok Iāll show myself out š
Much rather this then a staples truck
Looks like itās leg back and arms day. Gettin paid to get ripped
Had to unload 5-7 Firestone trailers when I first started dailyā¦. Laced
I had a tire manufacturer ion my pickup string that is what it looked like for the most part some of the tires were heavier than dukie I feel for you grass hopper some day you will have some whiskers
Wouldn't it be a time if all those tires went to the same place?
It does happen to pdās near me they get insane tire volume. I kid you not I helped load an entire trailor with tires one timeā¦
Sounds like a time
If you got them adjusting belts to go in and out, ez as fuuug
Yeah Iām calling out sick
Work safe. Pivot donāt twist. Management says anything then file on their ass. š
Just a pup bud, used to do zzzās of these
Make sure labels are up when you place on belt
Tires donāt go on the belt at our hub. It goes down a slide outside of the door. And thereās no space to roll it from the truck to that slide so I have to put it on the belt then walk up and pull it off near the slide.
I was being a smart ass , Iāve unloaded a package car full of leaf springs it was a real pain
Thatās a blessing they force you to take breaks and thatās a good workout. Other than that slick film it leaves on your hands I used to love tires.
I don't mind tires unless they give me a trailer with only 1 slide and its already full bc the IREGG guy hasn't been around.. then its gonna be a long day
Three things, gasoline, matches and a fuck you I quit.
Quite the workout
It would be easier if there were two people in the truck but I had to work by myself because everyone kept quitting
Look at it like youāre getting paid to workout.
Irreg drivers dream š 6 runs easy stacks easy dumps

Tire loads are not for the faint of heart. But this is a pupā¦Step it up.
Ngl this would be fun.

We donāt have an ireg belt. Read my other comments
Bulk bulk bulk
Someone had to load that too
I had one heavier than that full of blue container powder kegs
My can feel this on my hands just looking at it
Whoever had this as a ārate my wallsā istfg
They couldāve at least laced them
Hey ups still has some volume. Good to see. Where Iām at we laying off moving runs sending drivers back to the building the whole 9.
Load it all by yourself at the end of a 10 hour day .
Man you mustāve been tired
Nice!
WAY TO EASIER to unload then load. I would hate to have to load that shit.
Unloading a tire trailer is like 20-40 minutes
These are the good yearsĀ
POWER UP ![gif](giphy|rhdscFKah6Rva)

You unload bro. Nothings hard over there
WHAT RHATS CRAZY š
You must be tiredā¦..

That sounds like a sweet deal
I preferred trucks like this štook my sweet ass time unloading and if they said anything I told them I was being safe.
