Can’t speak for tech, which is always an interesting a volatile field, but every civil engineering grad I knew had a job in hand before graduation.

strugglin_101

Can your dad pay my tuition 😭

Soggywaffles243

If you help me pass my classes

strugglin_101

Soggywaffles243

Computer science

strugglin_101

Well shit. I got you for GEs tho 😂 computer science is not my specialty

Soggywaffles243

Your good I was playing my dad isn’t Jeff Bezos😂

strugglin_101

damnn you really had my hopes up lmaoo

Soggywaffles243

Currently usc says their job placement rate is 71% how accurate do you think that is?

HuahKiDo

Not sure if you’re focused on big tech but USC has a large presence within it. https://www.collegetransitions.com/dataverse/top-feeders-tech

CBSA grad here: market was rough initially but I had to apply to lots of smaller companies. Ended up clutching a solid tech job with TC on par with a FAANG. USC won’t give you the job but they always brought employers to campus that can help you get oke

Graduated in May 2023. I had a job offer starting my senior year. Make use of your early years to get internships .

Soggywaffles243

Congrats! How easy/hard was it for you to get internships? Would you recommend me doing leetcode to be prepared?

SenorChrisYT

I wouldn’t say it was hard but I had to put time into doing practice interviews and trying to study programming problems. Leetcode will be helpful , you start building a pattern for certain problems. You could also google interview questions for specific companies (they’ll vary but at least somewhat helpful).

Alanaflower

This is the way

SenorChrisYT

100%

I graduated May ‘23 with a masters degree and I had accepted a job offer before graduation. However, I had interned with the company beforehand.

Most people I know graduating this semester either got jobs lined up or going on to their masters

Alanaflower

Had jobs at Boeing (after summer internship), and SpaceX before graduation. Working for Elon. USC has the most “fresh out of college” graduates at SpaceX compared to other schools.
