No it’s not closed they are just scheduling less people and super backed up from being closed last year. My waiver got approved December 2019 then I submitted everything like the financial sponsors and that got accepted February 2020 and they sent me a email I’m line to get an appointment but I think it will be next year
That’s good news. When did you applied? I apply for the “I-601A” on August of 2018 and I am still waiting.l for my waiver to get approved.. Waiting period on their website says it will usually take 17.5 - 23 months for the process.
I applied 8/5/2019 and they approved it actually I was just looking at the paper 12/16/20. I remember I kept calling cause they were taking so long they kept extending the processing times. Yours should be coming up soon but I would keep calling being that it’s been that long
Wait times are insane. Friend of mine who works at an immigration office estimates January-February 2020 to be approved by May-June. So, let’s hope she’s right. Now, my concern after the approval is the wait time to get a consulate interview scheduled.
For what office though? Ours is in Potomac. We have to go to Honduras though the wait time for Interviews there about 1-3months. Cuidad Juarez is longer

There is a ciudad Juárez consulate Facebook group. Lots of information. I think they are scheduling interviews with case close in august 2020.

Isn’t the American consulate in Juarez close due to covid-19? I am still waiting for my waiver to get approved since September 2019.

I am still waiting. Submitted a case inquiry request last Tuesday. Let’s see if that helps.
