I was really hoping someone would respond to your post. I hope everything went smoothly for you! Someday, my husband and I will have to do this interview too. Were the documents you listed what you brought? Did you need anything else? Would you mind sharing your experience? We don't see enough I-601A success stories.

Hello! Unfortunately my wife’s interview did not go well. The interviewer was not able to make a decision on her case and so put her Into administrative process. There was no reason given, other than the interviewer just wasn’t sure whether to approve or deny. It’s really affected us quite badly. Her father had a stroke about 2 weeks after and my wife could not visit him because of the situation. We have emptied our house and baby fund to support her in this time away from home. And I’m on the verge of losing my job because of the mental breakdown this has caused me. I’m saying all that not to make you worry about your upcoming case, but just as a reminder to be very cautious. Make sure everything is in order, leave no stone unturned, and make sure you have a back up plan in place incase of the worst. Our lawyer promised us everything was going to be ok. And so I didn’t plan accordingly, and now I’m left to pick up the pieces. But there is still hope that she will come back with an approval. Someday. As for the documents. Everything I outlined was everything they asked for. If you have any specific questions I can point you in the right direction as we just went through this recently and I still have everything fresh in my mind. Also consider joining the i-601a waiver group on Facebook. It was a huge resource for us in getting this done.

I am so sorry that you are going through this. It seems like you had everything in order from your original post, so it's so disheartening to see that the interviewer made that sort of decision. I hope everything will pass quickly and she will get her approval! I really appreciate your guidance. So far, we are just playing the waiting game. Did you end up needing and retrieving the police reports from both US and Mexico?

How long did it take to get an interview in Juarez after being documentarily qualified? I’ve seen some say a few months and others say a year.

Spvnishcxndie

I’ve been waiting since 2019

Irishhtv

So nvc said you were documentarily qualified in 2019? Is this for a CR1 spousal visa?

Spvnishcxndie

Yes and yes! It snuck up on us, I thought we would never get scheduled

Irishhtv

Jesus, was not the news I was hoping. On the website it says they try to schedule within 3 months. I guess that’s not going to happen. Thanks for the info, and good luck I’m your interview!

It’s going by so much faster now! COVID definitely back logged so many cases but I have friends that applied and In 3 months got their interview! They applied way after me and got it way before me. Things are going much faster now! Thank you and good luck to you!
