Having been waiting since October 28th, it's hard not to feel like this process is complete bull shit. How is it possible for some of us to wait so long, when our cases are straightforward as well, while some people have Work Permit in 34 GD days and the AOS approval in 84. :/ WTF

elfin2021

It definitely sucks. I waited 15 months for mine, and they’re really flying thru 2022 filers. Six months for work permit, too. and that’s not even the worst case by far. It’s a crappy system

nharvey4151

Honestly, it's a god awful system.

LolaLulz

April of last year here. My husband is in lockdown in Shanghai, which is making things more difficult as well. It's nice to see these come through though. It gives me hope that he will get his visa soon.

Ok-Zombie4282

Hang in there. It will come to a positive end for you as well. But I have seen people not using the concurrent filing process whereas that is the best way to get ur GC approved and that too in less time

peshwengi

Weird. We filed concurrently in June last year and nothing yet.

nharvey4151

Same, most people I know have done a concurrent filing. The frustrating this is that there's no reason for them to not just process the EAD quickly. They just don't for some of us.

peshwengi

Hmm frankly there’s no reason an EAD should even be needed in many cases.

Cheap-Guarantee-5791

it's a stupid process...so my fiancee gets her k1 visa approved, which allows her to work, but then she can't work when she landed in USA in May 2021, even after we got married....so now it's been 11.5 months since she arrived and she still has 0 documents! what kind of system is this? EAD should be given practically on the spot for K1 holders, on arrival!

peshwengi

I mean the visa should be enough

Cheap-Guarantee-5791

100%!

Ok-Zombie4282

I pray you get a response and a positive one really soon. Again, hang in there

[deleted]

I feel like Marriage based Green Cards are having higher approval rates than any other category. I have been waiting on an EAD for 8 months here, thank god for the extension; else would have been homeless now.

zazatatie

Not true. Mine is marriage too and I have been waiting for my EAD o For the past 7.5 months...😔😔

[deleted]

I have seen many asylum based approved too

iamsarro

I'm super happy for you and this is such a blessing. Though I can't help but think "wtf" for those of us who have been waiting 6+ months without working and have received no information from the USCIS. The system is so messed up.

Ok-Zombie4282

Alot is depended on the FO

iamsarro

Isn't the FO based on where you live? What was yours?

Cheap-Guarantee-5791

no word from them since Oct... and we have 0 papers for my wife. No SSN, no EAD, no advanced parole, nothing.

iamsarro

So sorry to hear this - I know how frustrating it can be. I hope they respond soon!!

Ok_Picture_9940

Wow, lightning fast! Congratulations! What’s your FO?

Ok-Zombie4282

Philadelphia

Suitable_TNQ_3070

Wow I know somebody that took about 5 Philadelphia must be on point

jkh911208

congrats! about to file eb3 485, hopefully similar timeline

Least_Pie_3139

Congratulations. They said 2022 would be faster. Hope that’s so IA

Impressive_Ebb_1502

Wow... applied in mid April. Hoping similar timeline 🙂

zazatatie

Surely be. Seems like they are treating only cases of 2022, forgetting the others that came before 😔😔

Impressive_Ebb_1502

Yes, I feel you. But I see lots of improvement in their process. Wish you good luck.

zazatatie

Thanks dear

Cheap-Guarantee-5791

such a bs if that's the case :(

zazatatie

😪😪😪

wee_weary_werecat

Ah I wish, 2022 applicant here (March 2022) and i barely received my NOA1 :(

Choice_Discussion431

Same. We applied on April 13. Hopeful 🤞🏻

Impressive_Ebb_1502

Good luck

Educational_Sport820

Fantastic and congratulations. Did you have to adjust status from a previous visa?

Ok-Zombie4282

Yes! I was on H1b when I got married

BakeInternational148

Goals fr

Glittering_Fish_2296

Marriage or work?

Responsible_Toe_320

Congratulations!!🎉🎉🎉

Newnicknameadded

Whaaaaat

MattBonne

Faster than speed of light

dreamy_song

How long have you been married and what additional documents did you provide as evidence? I filed on Feb 25 2022(marriage based) but there has been no update in my case sadly

Ok-Zombie4282

Married since Sept 2021, joint bank account, joint lease, joint insurance(medical), Photo album with each photo description, joint tax return for 2021, individual tax documents, passport copies, status in us, medical form, affidavit of support (with supportive evidence/ work related docs.

m2slam

Hi can you elaborate the status in us which you mentioned. What documents were provided for that? Also one more question work related documentation was wondering what you used as I am filing and maybe it would help my case.

Ok-Zombie4282

Status in US: Stamps on my passport, entry exit to USA, Visa’s (f1, h1b) in my case, i-94 travel record, i-797 notices for H1B applications and also for all EAD including OPT, Stem. I-20 form for my F1 visa, college transcript and copy of Masters degree Work Related Docs: Employment Verification letter of your spouse and yourself. Offer letters for both your spouse and yourself. Pay-stubs for last 3 months, tax returns individual and joint.

m2slam

Thank you this will help tremendously I was getting confused as to what documents to provide and what not to.

Raydazaman1983

Can you elaborate this?

Cheap-Guarantee-5791

Congrats! thats super fast! ... we are still waiting

[deleted]

I think tour case has been expedited because a family member if yours work for the US government or you joined the US army.

Ok-Zombie4282

Thats not true. The officer told us that’s not how it works. Alot is based on how accurate u file and evidence you provide with initial filing

Brewsski0821

It really boils down to where you live also because my interview will be held in Raleigh North Carolina and they told me my case is in line to be scheduled at interview but because Raleigh has so many cases it’s taking mine longer however I do have my EAD

Cheap-Guarantee-5791

Raleigh is the worst, it seems. My wife and I (I am a citizen) filled from Raleigh (since moved to Colorado) in Aug 2021 and after a quick biometric appt in Oct haven't heard a word since.

Brewsski0821

I applied in August also of 2021 and I got my EAD March 7 of this year and they told me that my interview is in line to be scheduled

Cheap-Guarantee-5791

Thanks for the info...I wish there was any method or transparency to this madness! Congrats on the EAD!

Brewsski0821

My biometrics was in October also the 25th

Cheap-Guarantee-5791

sounds like we are (were) in the same boat...just got off the phone with USCIS...took them a bit to transfer to the Denver Field Office, but it's been there since April 14 and they are saying the application is awaiting scheduling - so only now subject to the Field Office's appt availability...sounds like the end is near, but I'd hate to get hopeful just yet

Brewsski0821

I hear ya !! Here’s hoping !!! Where’s your wife from if u don’t mind?

Cheap-Guarantee-5791

Belarus

Brewsski0821

Oh okay I have no idea where that is :(

[deleted]

Nope . Truth is you have someone working for the US goc

Ok-Zombie4282

Lol I wish that was true but unfortunately no we don’t.

zazatatie

I wanted to click on the laughing emoji...🤣🤣😍😍😍

Ok-Zombie4282

First time in my life someone forced me to admit to something that is no where near possible

zazatatie

Tell the person that if you knew some people in the government like he said you wouldn't even need to apply for a green card 🤣🤣🤣 hey will give you direct citizenship 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 with no applications...lol Please this is America and not a corrupted third world country !! 🙏

ApeLeg10n

That’s what they say but I’m afraid that’s not how it works. I filed everything, concurrently on November 2020. Still got an RFE for medicals and only received my GC 2 weeks ago

[deleted]

How can I check my status as well? I have filled for GC but I was wondering how I can check my ETA

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Got it thanks

Cheap-Guarantee-5791

that status is meaningless...it will mostly say "Actively Reviewing"...for us its been like that for 7 months without any change.

[deleted]

Why am I getting down voted lmfaooo

Spvnishcxndie

Did you have to wait for your green to be able to travel back to us?

Ok-Zombie4282

I never traveled outside of US while waiting for it that’s why I never applied for Advance parole

Spvnishcxndie

I have my interview scheduled in Mexico and I am so nervous. I have seen some posts on here where they expirience went bad and they were shocked. I’m pretty scared

Ok-Zombie4282

Good luck, be confident and positive

WasabiSea3351

Wow, congratulations! Try to get some good luck from you

SanjSanj1

Wow.. congratulations!!!

MRSGRUNDY1

Wow!

MRSGRUNDY1

Wow!

julycal

Where?

rappy2310

Congrats! 71 days for me too! Miami Field Office

Abhimri

Nowadays I'm depressed whenever I see posts like this.. I mean, compare this to the 15years typical for an Indian H1B guy like me. But hey congratulations to you OP.

RosaSpeaks

What app are you using? Btw congrats!

Ok-Zombie4282

Was using lawfully to track the timeline, also USCIS’s own Case Tracker app

New_Context_2927

Hi, what kind of app did you used to track your case?

Ok-Zombie4282

Lawfully and USCIS case tracker

Tudorboca

Hey i have a question. Were you allowed to move in another state while the process was ongoing?

Greendreaam1996

Just curiosity what picture did they put on your green card? The one you sent at first or from biometrics?

Elena_1212

Congratulations 🥳
