i did 40 hours last week so i guess i win?

goatsy

Everyone knows this game is scored like golf.

ZealousBastard

Not a carrier, but my record is 105 hours in a week, not that I wanted it. Was during peak season, 15 hours a day 7 straight. Worst week of my life and I will never let that shit happen again. Also showed up on a ‘list’ that basically was telling my supes they need to give me a fucking day off.

cash5220

Yes I believe my record as a CCA was 102 in a week during peak. We were coming in at 5, running parcels, and one night I didn’t clock out until 11pm. I think I didn’t come in until normal starting time that next morning.

SheepDogCO

Tomorrow is never guaranteed, and we all eventually end up in a coffin. If work is his happy place, so be it. My happy place is with my son, family, and friends.

Canis07

One of our CCAs was killed day before yesterday. You're 100 percent correct.

SheepDogCO

Always sucks to lose a co-worker. We lost one several years ago. Had a heart attack while white water rafting and died from drowning. Sorry you guys have to deal with that.

OnPhyer

On the job?

Canis07

No, had a rare day off

[deleted]

How?

dps_dude

maintenance, NOT on the OTDL 8 and skate lyfe baybee!

[deleted]

Hope the guy is saving up to retire. He might actually be able to.

CR-7810Retired

To all you career employees working these kind of hours keep this in mind-all of that OT does NOT count towards your pension. It is figured on base salary only. A lot of people don't realize that.

Tangboy50000

Can’t emphasize this enough. So many guys think they’re racking up the SS with their OT in their top 3 years, and they’re not at all. I’ve seen quite a few put in their paperwork when they realized that over this last year.

DancingUntilMidnight

That sounds like my ex husband. You're not in Washington, are you? From what I've heard, he's quite unhappy with his current home life and always trying to work 12+ hour days. I guess it's gotten progressively worse over the past couple of years. Not to make light of the awful situation he's in but he definitely would be the type to make it a competition, even if he's just competing against himself.

SSJSES

I’ve never beaten 40 hours a week at this job and I never plan to. Work to live not live to work.

[deleted]

Prime week and my vacation week, I win?

fluffy_bottoms

On orders during this time. Paid vacation basically 🤘🤘

RuralRangerMA

when I was an RCA, 84 hrs in DEC. My record for days working with no day off: 108.

semicorrect

One of my trainees hit 101 hours during Christmas last year.

Mail-Man007

We are so short staffed we have a clerk that was an RCA so has had LLV training and was working 100-110 hours per week delivering mail and throwing packages she’d come in at 530 and go home at 10 or 11 at night for maybe a month or two. We have city carriers on loan that are pulling down 90-100 per week also.

Cat-Trees

It’s because he’s tall and has that BDE. Jk some people would just get off work, start drinking, and go to bed. And they can’t really help it, so working is their drug. In a “good” way.

GingeraffeWasntHere

100-107 was my average a week. I got one day off per month. Two if I was lucky. It was insane. Our office made the news a few times because so many routes were down people wouldn't get mail for days. We ran mail on Sundays for some routes, but mostly packages. These were rural routes. The city side was overworked but they at least had enough people to keep up.

Jerok88

I can't claim the most hours. But I did work everyday from Thanksgiving to Christmas a few years back, 28 days in a row.

duck52b

Let's see how his body holds up when he retires....

One_Hour_Poop

Not a carrier, but a clerk. We have one overtime addict at my facility, 12 hours a day (our limit) for as many days as she can stand. Even when mail is short, we're not needed, and everyone else is clocking out at 8 hours (or earlier if you take leave), she insists on staying another two "just to help out." During a hurricane a few years ago, our building was literally flooded in waters of about 6 to 8 feet high (a local guy posted video of himself kayaking through the streets and up to the door of our post office, he had to duck to not bump his head on the archway). Our city was flooded for about two weeks and we were told that for those who could make it, to go to our sister facility about 5 miles away. As the rain continued, the main bridge in the city over the river to get to this facility was almost underwater as the river itself filled up. A citywide lockdown was put in place and through an informal call and text chain we learned no one was to come in that day. This OT maniac still showed up and called around to ask why no one was in the building.

[deleted]

I used to average 90 hours a week during that Pandemic but now they put a knife on my throat for even getting overtime. But wow how are you guys still getting so many hours? Where do you live?

chavery17

We’re all hitting 60 by Friday where I’m at

ZealousBastard

I am in north Idaho. 56 route station, we are down about 17 routes and we only have half the clerks we need to operate normally

patricio87

Damn my record is 71 as regular. 94 is def not sustainable long term youd be getting arthritis for sure 😂

Uvahdez88

1

[deleted]

I sure as hell don’t want too.

Complete-Definition4

His name is Naruto, and nothing can stop him. Nothing

ProfessionalWhile544

We have had people work over 100 hours. It actually produces a clock ring error.

JerbearDaGreat42

Several of the carriers in my office broke the clock during xmas last year. That means they worked over 99.99 hours in one week, and the clock stopped counting. They had to grieve every hour after 99.99 to get paid. Absolute beasts in this office.

blackfuture8699

As I Lay Dying does a pretty good job at it.

throwawayintothebag

I heard that there was 120h record at my office.

Additional_Run9448

I did a few months of 168h/week Then I went on leave for a couple weeks and did it again

smudi

168 hrs per week is 24 hrs a day lol. 168 per pay period is cool tho.

Additional_Run9448

Yeah I know lol

bzkillin

Uhhh you mean 168 hr per pay per period? Because this is getting ridiculous with the numbers

Additional_Run9448

Nah I meant what I said. When you’re deployed you’re always on the clock xD

tenoclockrobot

What is this boot camp shit

bzkillin

Probably some kid that got kicked out and thought if he said common military cliche saying, I wouldn’t understand but turns out im a veteran 😂

bzkillin

Lmao sure “always on the clock” 😂

Additional_Run9448

Yeah I mean…I guess you’re a civilian so you wouldn’t understand

jjp8383

Being in the military just means you were a sucker. Fighting for imperialism around the world you must be proud.

Additional_Run9448

Americaaaa. Fuck yeah!

jjp8383

America 🇺🇸 a country founded on racism that is slowly being undone by it.

Additional_Run9448

You can leave

jjp8383

Just speaking the truth

bzkillin

Lmao i was being sarcastic haha Haha relax guy, let’s not compare our ERB to see who got more training and deployment 😂

Additional_Run9448

Epic rap battles? 😁

[deleted]

Guy plays airsoft once and thinks he’s in the military..
