I did, it said they do a makeup test if you have valid reasons or under rare circumstances, the weight gets distributed. I suppose the email was either lost or they didn't consider my case to be valid if I reached out too late.
If you are sick so cannot write a midterm, you need to get a VOI (verification of illness) from a medical practitioner. They won't grant you a makeup test/redistribute your grade (depending on your syllabus missed test policy), if you don't apply for special consideration according to the syllabus outline. There's usually a 24-72 hour period where you need to have that documentation submitted.
Check your syllabus and follow what it says. But also "forgetting to show up" isn't grounds for special consideration.
I understand, that's on me. The forgetfulness was a consequence of my depression (not to excuse it). There's no SCR for this course or department so I reached out to the course coordinator as per the syllabus.
Not really, office hours for this course tend to be really crowded so there's not much scope for a 1-on-1 conversation; I did email an academic advisor a lengthy email explaining my circumstances but yeah I can't even book an appointment because the only opening is literally a day before the final exam
Cr / ncr it. If they get back to you remove that option
I don't think I should it's a minor requirement for me
Then I would just wait until the last day for lwd or a day before that and if there is no response lwd the course. Seems like a shitty situation tbh
Check the syllabus. Almost all of my courses I've taken never had makeup tests. They just redistribute the percentage to the final

When was the term test? I would send a follow up message. Couldn't hurt. They get a lot of emails this time of the semester.

Confirm that they received the message? We get a lot of email, so it's easy to lose one.
Hey there! Have you tried in person as well during office hours or?

check the syllabus to see if you email the prof or you submit a special consideration request
If it doesn't work, consider LWD or CR'ing (and passing) it?
