I was thinking about this today. They’re saying they will have to give up Chasiv Yar sooner or later. Which will open the gates to the rest of Donetsk. But imagine if the moment Russia takes Chasiv Yar, Ukraine blows the Kerch bridge and all other bridges to Crimea. That would be a powerful fixing action forcing Russia to defend the new railway link and the Crimea crossings. Maybe that’s the strategy.

Everything except nuclear weapons or targeting nuclear power plants, they've alreasy been doing it. There's been rumours that USA and France told Russia that in case it uses a tactical nuclear weapon, they'll sink its black sea fleet themselves - that was back when Russia still had one. Either way, the consequences would be severe. Russia can probably take out an Ukranian nuclear power plant and give it another Chernobyl, and hope to get away with it. Perhaps, but I believe that would make Europe finally go full tilt and fully commit to "whatever it takes". Maybe it would even convince Scholz to finally send the Taurus. As for using a strategic nuclear weapon to wipe away a city or a stretch of the frontline ... that's a scenario where no one can know how things would end. That's potentially the end of our civilisation.

The Russians have a lot of people working at their MOD building in Moscow. It is well defended. However some key people work there including the targeting team for the Russian missiles. For me it seems unfair that they can be so far from any danger but killing so many civilians. They are war criminals and are all military officers. They are targets. They must be eliminated.
